The group had arrived from Dhaka on two separate flights and was believed to have coordinated their entry into the country with the help of certain parties.
Acting on intelligence, an MBCA team intercepted the foreigners at the international arrival hall shortly after they disembarked.
"Based on prior intelligence, the foreigners arrived on two flights, and their entry was believed to have been carefully coordinated with the assistance of certain parties.
"Investigations later showed the foreigners did not meet the immigration entry requirements and had provided questionable reasons for their visit," the agency said in a statement today.
The agency added that deportation orders were issued immediately, and all 26 foreigners were sent back to Dhaka on the next available flights.

KUALA LUMPUR: Police are investigating a viral video where a man alleges his nine-year-old daughter was molested by a Bangladeshi worker. The video, uploaded by X user @Negeri09, suggested the worker touched the girl's chest and sexually harassed her. It also contained violent elements. Kajang police chief, Assistant Commissioner Naazron Abdul Yusof, said in a statement today that the case is being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code and Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017. Voluntarily causing hurt under the Penal Code carries a maximum punishment of one year's imprisonment, a fine of up to RM2,000, or both. Physical sexual assault on a child under the Sexual Offences Against Children Act carries a maximum imprisonment of 20 years and discretionary whipping. The police chief said the victim's 32-year-old Malaysian father lodged a report on March 12, 2025, alleging his daughter was molested by the migrant worker at a convenience store in Kajang. "The molestation was believed to have occurred on Feb 27, 2025. A police report was made two weeks later after the victim shared the incident on March 11, 2025. "The witnesses in this case are still being tracked down to assist with investigations as there is no closed-circuit television footage at the scene," he said.

Foreigner caught with 2,500 turtles claims no knowledge of luggage contents
KUALA LUMPUR: The Indian national arrested with 2,500 red-eared slider turtles at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on Tuesday works as a cook at a restaurant in Malaysia. KLIA Malaysian Border Control Agency (MBCA) commander Ibrahim Mohd Yusof said the 41-year-old suspect is believed to have acted as a mule for a wildlife smuggling syndicate. He said the suspect had allegedly been hired to transport the luggage through Terminal 1 of KLIA but was detected by MBCA officers. "During questioning, the suspect claimed he did not know the contents of the luggage, which he said had been prepared and handed to him by another individual. "The suspect also claimed that his flight ticket was purchased by a third party," he said. Checks with the Immigration Department showed that the suspect entered Malaysia as a foreign worker on Nov 29, 2023, and still holds a valid work permit until Nov 28 this year. Ibrahim said the Wildlife and National Parks Department (Perhilitan) is conducting further investigations to determine the source of the turtles. Based on available information, the turtles are believed to have come from local breeding farms supplying the international market. However, he said the source country is not limited to Malaysia alone and could also include other Southeast Asian nations. It was previously reported that the suspect was arrested at the Terminal 1 departure hall of KLIA on Tuesday with the turtles in his possession. The man was reportedly detained while attempting to board a 10.05pm flight to Bengaluru, India.

Four Bangladeshis detained at KLIA over suspected gold and gadget smuggling; 21 foreigners denied entry
PUTRAJAYA, Aug 9 — The Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency (AKPS) at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), in collaboration with Aviation Security (AVSEC), detained four Bangladeshi men suspected of being involved in illegal gold dealing and smartphone activities at Terminal 1. It said in a statement yesterday that the arrest was the result of initial intelligence and profiling by AVSEC, which led to the seizure of various items with a total value of RM187,742.10. 'Among the seized items were three pieces of jewellery believed to be gold, worth RM160,000, 12 smartphones of various brands, worth RM22,700, RM5,042.10 in cash, and five international passports belonging to Bangladeshi nationals,' according to the statement. The agency said all suspects were arrested for investigation under the Immigration Act 1959/63. Three of them are suspected of violating Rule 39(b) of the Immigration Regulations 1963 for breaching their pass conditions, while another is being investigated under Section 6(1)(c) of the same act for entering and remaining in the country without a valid pass or permit. A police report was also made following the arrest, and all individuals involved were handed over to the Selangor Immigration Department's (JIM) enforcement division for further investigation and prosecution. Meanwhile, a total of 21 foreigners were denied entry into Malaysia, while another was arrested after AKPS at KLIA foiled attempts to enter and exit the country illegally using three different modus operandi at Terminal 2 (T2). AKPS said all these attempts were successfully thwarted by the AKPS KLIA T2 Monitoring Team during a routine monitoring conducted by the team yesterday. It said that the first case involved six Cambodians while the second case involved three Indonesians, and the third case involved a Chinese national. Additionally, AKPS said that seven Indian and five Pakistani nationals were also denied entry when they attempted to pass through the Immigration checkpoint without proper inspection. According to AKPS, all the individuals concerned were issued with Notices of Refusal of Entry (NPM) and sent back to their country of origin on the earliest flight. — Bernama
