Officials say a major drug bust happened Friday night, after they received word of an "illegal weed flea market" in Germantown.
A huge Philadelphia police presence descended on the 5600 block of Germantown Avenue in a former retail space.
According to authorities, a lot of marijuana was being sold illegally, as well as other illegal items and paraphernalia.
In all, about 13 or 14 vendors were arrested, along with the organizer of the event.
Officials said between 50 and 60 people were inside when the officers got there.

Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill announced the arrest of a former Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office (OPSO) employee who's believed to be the girlfriend of Derrick Groves, who's still on the run. An arrest affidavit states that the woman allegedly coordinated contact between Groves and individuals outside the jail and communicated information relating to the escape. Murrill's office said officials confirmed the couple were in an "again, off-again relationship" for three years, and are believed to currently be dating. Burton worked for the Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office from August 2022 – March 2023. In 2023, according to Murrill. Officials said she was arrested and charged in 2023 for allegedly bringing contraband into a jail and malfeasance, but those charges were refused by the Orleans Parish District Attorney's Office. "We will continue to pursue anyone and everyone who has aided and abetted these criminals. We will find you, arrest you, and prosecute you to the full extent of the law. I'd like to thank the US Marshals Service for executing our warrant for this woman. We will arrest all aiders and abettors, and we will eventually get Antoine Massey and Derrick Groves back to prison where they belong," Murrill said. Groves and Antoine Massey remain at large.

Meth, fentanyl, heroin and African wildcats found in Pennsylvania home during bust
Drugs, cash and two African wildcats were found in a home in Clearfield County during a drug bust, authorities said on Monday. In a news release, the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General said Jennifer Dixon and Nicholas Rumsey are facing charges in connection with the bust earlier this month. Drugs seized, African wildcats rescued from Pennsylvania home Authorities said law enforcement served a search warrant at the Lawrence Township, Clearfield County, home on June 5 as part of an ongoing investigation into the two suspects. At the home, officials said approximately three pounds of methamphetamine, 159 grams of fentanyl, nine grams of heroin, nearly $8,000 in cash, and two African wildcats were found. The animals were found living in cages in the basement of the home. The Pennsylvania State Game Commission took possession of the wildcats, the attorney general's office said. But it was not immediately known where they were taken. Permits are required to keep animals like African wildcats in a home, and "these cats appeared to be unlawfully kept," the news release said. "The recovery and rescue of these wildcats provides the animals with opportunities to live safer, healthier lives – not caged in the basement of this home. I am grateful to Pennsylvania State Police and all the agencies involved in this operation for this remarkable seizure," Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday said in the news release. The investigation is ongoing, officials said. The 27-year-old Dixon and 33-year-old Rumsey are charged with possession with intent to distribute, endangering the welfare of a child and other drug-related charges.
