Chicopee man wins $100,000 Mass Cash prize

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A lucky Chicopee resident is the winner of a $100,000 Mass Cash grand prize.
Steven Dygon Jr. won his prize on a free Quic Pic ticket that he received during the Massachusetts State Lottery's 'Fishin' for Quic Pics' promotion.
Lottery skid extends through April
From May 6 to 19, lottery players in the state had the opportunity to win a free $1 Quic Pic ticket for Mass Cash, Keno, or The Numbers Game by purchasing any single ticket on a draw or monitor game for $4 or more.
Dygon Jr. received this special ticket after making a qualifying Keno purchase at 7-Eleven, located at 425 Springfield Street in Springfield. The winning numbers were 10-11-15-18-25, which were selected during the May 16 Mass Cash drawing.
On Tuesday, Dygon Jr. claimed his winnings at the West Springfield claim center. He said he plans on using his prize to take his children to Disney. 7-Eleven in Springfield will receive a $1,000 bonus for its sale of the ticket that produced the promotional ticket prize.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Multiple Springfield police cruisers have been spotted on Byers Street in Springfield Thursday morning. Springfield Police SVU arrest man in connection with rape and kidnapping Byers Street is right off Pearl Street near the Springfield Police Department. 22News crews are seeing multiple police cruisers, police, and a K9 going in and out of an apartment building. An ambulance can also be seen. It's unclear why police are there at this time. Byers Street is roped off in the area of an apartment building. 22News did reach out to Springfield police, but haven't heard anything yet.
