During an interview with Steve Fall of Ten Count Wrestling, Melina shared that she would love for the PLE to make its return. She also mentioned that while it is not mandatory that she should be a part of the event, she would love to wrestle someone like Asuka. Melina also mentioned that she would like to tag with Naomi.
'Oh my goodness. I am happy for Evolution. I don't need to be in it, I don't need to be in it. I would love to. But I don't. I'm just happy because it's a show, it's a pay-per-view that needs to happen. The women deserve that. They deserve it. It should happen every year. So, I'm so excited if it's… It has to be true. Please let it be true. If not, it is the worst prank ever to get everybody's hopes up. But I would love for it to happen. And if I were to have a match, I don't know.
'There's just so many good people. I keep saying like Asuka and then I say, Sasha [Mercedes Moné]. And then I say, Trinity [Naomi], even though I'd rather tag with her. Because I love her too much to go against her. I love her so much. But there's so much new talent on now. Like, in NXT, they're showcasing so many new talent. And it's just, kid in a candy store… Oh crap! Asuka,' Melina said.
Would you like to see Evolution make its return?

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. WWE Superstar Sheamus has directly addressed the recent fan disappointment surrounding the news that R-Truth's WWE contract is not being renewed. Appearing on The Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday, "The Celtic Warrior" offered a his perspective. He thinks R-Truth's WWE story is far from over and also commented on Carlito's similar situation. The conversation came about when Pat McAfee noted how difficult it is for WWE fans when popular Superstars depart unexpectedly. "The fans get to know who that person is and they fall in love with the character.. R-Truth is one of the most beloved because he's one of the most entertaining.. There's no way he isn't gonna come back at some point" ~ @WWESheamus #PMSLive — Pat McAfee (@PatMcAfeeShow) June 4, 2025 Sheamus acknowledged the strong bond WWE fans form with performers. "Sometimes people don't know... from a perspective of what we do—entertainment—it's about entertaining the fans," Sheamus explained. "And people... from our perspective, the fans get to know who that person is. They get to fall in love with the character and the personality. With Truth, for example—he's one of the most beloved because he's one of the most entertaining." More news: WWE News: Steve Austin Reveals Real-Life Vince McMahon Confrontation Sheamus then fondly recalled his own early history with the veteran. "I had my first dark match against him when I came up in '07, I think. '08 I joined—'07/'08... he had just come back after he was with the company, went to TNA, and came back again," Sheamus shared (H/T to Fightful). That fella walks in the dressing room and it's just... laugh. He's got a contagious laugh that would just light up the room." Despite the current news of R-Truth's contract expiring, Sheamus emphasized that departures in wrestling are often not permanent. "But there's no way of knowing. You just gotta go out there and do what you can," he said of a wrestler's career. "Sometimes you can't tell when that time is. But a lot of guys come back though—that's the wrestling business." He then delivered a strong message of hope specifically for R-Truth's supporters. "And it's not the end. It's not the end," Sheamus stated. "So many people—so many guys and girls—have left and come back. It's not the end. Sometimes it's a bit of a break. There's no way Truth's not going to come back at some stage. I'm sure you'll see him again. A Hall of Famer. He's definitely a pillar." Sheamus extended this optimism to Carlito, whose contract is also reportedly not being renewed. "And the same with Carlito. Carlito was gone for a while, he came back," Sheamus noted. "It's not the end. If you truly want to find your way back, you'll find your way back. It's not the end for anybody." More WWE News:

WWE's Kevin Owens Provides Concerning Injury Update
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Former WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens has provided an update on his serious neck injury. He confirmed he still has not undergone surgery and that his path to potential recovery is a "very slow process." Owens was forced to announce his in-ring hiatus just before WrestleMania 41 due to the severity of the issue. He shared these details during an interview with Bernard Colas for e10Sport. Despite being off WWE television since before WrestleMania 41 in April 2025, Owens explained that his medical team is taking a cautious approach before proceeding with an operation. "I still haven't had the operation. There are a lot of things to consider before the surgery," Owens stated. "We're waiting a bit to see how things evolve naturally. There's no doubt that I need surgery, but before going through with it, we just need to see how much it can... not recover, because it won't recover, but improve slightly without surgery." He added, "After that, we'll be able to make a plan and decide what's the best thing to do for the surgery. But it's a very slow process. You just have to be patient. I'm not someone who has a lot of patience usually, but in this case, I have no choice." This is a diagnosis that came late. SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA - SEPTEMBER 20: Kevin Owens looks on during WWE SmackDown at Golden 1 Center on September 20, 2024 in Sacramento, California. SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA - SEPTEMBER 20: Kevin Owens looks on during WWE SmackDown at Golden 1 Center on September 20, 2024 in Sacramento, California. WWE/Getty Images "I had doubts for several months that there was something really abnormal. But it took several months before we diagnosed the actual injury," he stated. "We found out two days before I made the announcement on SmackDown that I wouldn't be able to be at WrestleMania and that I had to stop wrestling immediately." He admitted the initial symptoms were deceptive and led doctors to examine incorrect areas, which delayed an accurate diagnosis of the neck problem. This detailed interview follows an earlier video Owens posted on X where he first addressed surgery rumors. In that message, he told WWE fans: "So, first, we don't have a surgery date yet. I have not had surgery yet. Despite reports that are contrary." He continued, "We're still gonna try and figure out what the best way to go about it all is, exactly what needs to be done. So we're kind of figuring that out still... I don't know what's happening with my neck. So, we'll figure it out." With no surgery date set and uncertainty about his condition's progression, Owens remains on the sidelines indefinitely, and his WWE in-ring future is still very much in question. WWE Star CM Punk Explains The Meaning Behind Questionable Tattoo
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. WWE superstar CM Punk has finally shared the detailed story and personal significance behind one of his most recognizable tattoos: the Pepsi logo on his shoulder. On the June 4, 2025, episode of WWE Tattooed, he explained its connection to his straight-edge lifestyle and punk rock look. Punk began by acknowledging the tattoo's prominence over his career. "I guess I'd be remiss to not mention the Pepsi tattoo. I think that one historically has gotten the most attention," he stated. He then delved into its inspiration. It came from the influential 1980s hardcore punk band Minor Threat, widely credited with popularizing the straight edge subculture that typically involves abstinence from alcohol, tobacco, and recreational drugs. "The story with the Pepsi tattoo is there is a band called Minor Threat that started in the early 80s in Washington, D.C. that is widely known to have started the straight edge subculture," Punk explained. More news: WWE News: Steve Austin Reveals Real-Life Vince McMahon Confrontation "And the guitarist Brian Baker was asked in an interview I read while I was in detention, 'Do you have a Coca-Cola tattoo? Why do you have a Coca-Cola tattoo?' And his response is, 'I like Coca-Cola.'" This simple, defiant answer deeply resonated with a young Punk. I don't like Coke. I like Pepsi," Punk continued, connecting it to his own identity. "I'm a Midwest kid at heart, so I got a Pepsi tattoo." He emphasized that the choice was far more profound than a mere beverage preference. "That tattoo represents me being straight edge, and that's really it," Punk clarified. "It seems silly to put a corporate logo on yourself, but it really has a deeper meaning, and it means so much more to me than just soft drink." For CM Punk, the Pepsi logo is a personal emblem of his commitment to the straight edge lifestyle, a core tenet of his identity throughout his wrestling career and public life. His recent return to WWE in late 2023 and his current involvement. This includes winning a Money in the Bank qualifying match on June 2nd, Raw, despite recovering from injury, which has brought renewed focus to his iconic persona and its symbols.
