A commoner living in ancient Greece discovers his true heritage as a son of Zeus, along with his purpose: to save the world from a demonic army. I have already had the pleasure of watching this movie on Netflix and it is a must-see romance for fans of shows like The Orbital Children and Your Lie in April . The characters are beautifully animated and the voice acting brings them to life. Keep tissues close at hand when you start this heartwarming film and remember that love doesn't need gravity to pull you in.

Stranger Things Season 5 is almost here, and the Duffer Brothers are hyping it up big time. According to Ross Duffer, the beginning of the end for Hawkins is 'our favorite, most eventful first episode since Season 1.' That's a big claim, considering what the series opener delivered! The co-creator dropped the update on Instagram, confirming that episodes 1 and 2 are officially complete. 'Chapters One and Two: locked, mixed, scored, colored, DONE,' he wrote, sharing title cards for the episodes, 'The Crawl' and 'The Vanishing of [redacted].' That second episode title is a direct nod to 'The Vanishing of Will Byers' from Season 1, and Duffer's caption only fuels fan speculation: 'The Vanishing of… (yeah yeah you think you know who blah blah).' Could Will be going MIA again? Duffer als teased that episode two features 'by far the craziest cold open we've ever done. One of the sequences we're most proud of this season.' So, it sounds like we're in for something intense, and probably pretty traumatic, right out of the gate. While fans are itching for more details, Duffer is keeping most info under wraps, and in regards to runtimes, noted: 'I would tell you runtimes, but I was told not to. At a later date, I guess.' That follows some recent viral fake news about every episode being two hours long, with a nearly three-hour finale. So yeah, best to wait for the official word. Created by Matt and Ross Duffer, Stranger Things has been a genre-defining series for nearly a decade. Now, it all comes to a close in Season 5. Set in the fall of 1987, this final chapter finds Hawkins under military lockdown, the government hunting down Eleven, and Vecna looming large for one last showdown. Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 1 drops on Netflix November 26, Volume 2 hits on Christmas Day, and the grand finale lands on New Year's Eve.

Don't look now, but Roku's got its own streaming service
Adam Birney / Android Authority TL;DR Roku is launching Howdy, a $3/month streaming service. The ad-free offering debuts with content from Lionsgate, Warner Bros. Discovery, FilmRise, and Roku Originals. Viewers can stream through Roku hardware or with the company's Android app. It's painfully clear by now that streaming is not going to fix the ills of cable TV — and, if anything, it's only managed to introduce new headaches. At least back in the day you could just subscribe to your local provider and be reasonably assured you were getting everything you could. Now, staying on top of all the latest releases means juggling half a dozen different subscriptions, not to mention that your old favorites are liable to jump services at a moment's notice. We wish this were building up to us announcing some novel solution, but nope — we're just getting yet another streaming service. Maybe the good news here is that this one sounds pretty low stakes. We're talking about Howdy, a new subscription offering from Roku. Let's start with the good: Howdy will only cost you $3 a month, and even at that low price, Roku's offering it ad-free. This isn't an introductory deal or any kind of limited promo, and even with a price that matches the best we see from other streamers on Black Friday (and even then, usually with ad-supported plans), it sure sounds like Roku intends to keep Howdy this affordable going forward. You can probably already see the flip side coming, and that's the content. While Roku brands Howdy as offering 'almost everything you want to watch,' it's not launching with any real standout titles, instead offering a selection of shows and movies from the catalogs of Lionsgate, Warner Bros. Discovery, FilmRise, and of course some Roku Originals. While there's definitely some good stuff in there, and you can probably find something worth losing a few hours to, it's also fair to say that Howdy's lineup feels quite a bit weaker than its pricier peers. But like we said, this is low stakes, and it should easily be worth paying $3 for one month and seeing if Howdy's for you. There's no free trial or anything, but at this price, and with no long-term subscription commitment, who cares? If you're curious about checking Howdy out, the service is supported on Roku hardware, of course, or through the Roku app on your mobile device. If you're the sort of viewer for whom Pluto feels 'good enough' but you wouldn't mind paying a small premium for no ads, Howdy could be right up your alley. Follow

The Human Urge to Corrupt These Wholesome Critters
When Paul Welander, a health care worker in Britain, heard about a lawsuit that the maker of Calico Critters toys recently filed against a social media content creator, he wasn't totally surprised. The critters, introduced in 1985, are tiny velvety-bodied animals — rabbits, mice, moles, bears, beavers, badgers, pigs, penguins — dressed in modest clothes and sold in sets as families. The lawsuit alleges that the creator committed copyright and trademark infringement by making videos that portray the twee toys in scandalous situations: having affairs, driving drunk, taking drugs. Videos not unlike the crassly captioned pictures of the toys, also known as Sylvanians, that Mr. Welander, 51, started sharing on social media back in 2016. One of his posts, featuring a photo of two squirrels in cottagecore attire near a pile of leaves, had the caption: 'Cover the feet, we have till spring to get our story straight …' Another, featuring a bushy-tailed rodent sitting at a piano, was captioned with a lyric from the song 'Baby Got Back.' It read, 'I like big butts and I cannot lie, you other brothers can't deny …' When Mr. Welander began sharing the posts on X (back when it went by Twitter), his account, called Sylvnianans, amassed some 10,000 followers within a week, he said. He attributed the interest in it to the humor of imagining the squeaky-clean creatures engaged in 'adult topics,' as he put it. Soon after, his account was suspended. The reason Mr. Welander was given, he recalled, was for 'misrepresentation of a product.'
