BBC and ITV secure 2027 World Cup rights
The broadcasters will split games evenly between them in the group and knockout stages but will both show the final.
"Extending our partnership with Fifa alongside ITV ensures that the drama and spectacle of the Women's World Cup remains free-to-air," said BBC director of sport Alex Kay-Jelski.
"BBC Sport has been a longstanding champion of women's football, helping to elevate the game to where it is today – a sport experiencing unprecedented growth in popularity and reach across BBC Sport platforms.
"From domestic leagues to major international tournaments, we've brought the defining moments to millions across the UK already, including this summer's Women's Euro tournament."
BBC Sport will show live coverage on TV and iPlayer as well as bringing coverage to the website and across radio and social media platforms.
ITV will also have live games on TV as well as coverage on social media and ITVX. In addition, the broadcaster will show all of England's qualifying matches and friendlies.
"The Fifa Women's World Cup 2027 is sure to be another standout tournament and we look forward to continuing our relationship with both Fifa and the BBC," said Niall Sloane, ITV director of sport.
The 32-team tournament will start on 24 June 2027 and conclude on 27 July.
Spain are the defending world champions after beating England 1-0 in the final in 2023.
The pair will go head-to-head again in Sunday's Euro 25 final.

Chase Elliott (Last Week: 2) Elliott was 13th at the Brickyard but retained his series points lead by four points over Hendrick teammate William Byron. He qualified 30th at a track that is hard to pass, and he has consistently said he needs to qualify better to consistently finish strong. 3. Ryan Blaney (Last Week: 8) Blaney didn't have the most speed but posted a workmanlike seventh-place finish at the Brickyard. He was the only Penske driver in the top 10. 2. Kyle Larson (Last Week: 4) Larson finished second at the Brickyard for his second consecutive top-five finish and his 11th top-five finish of what has been a feast-or-famine season for the Hendrick driver. 1. Denny Hamlin (Last Week: 1) Hamlin followed up his win at Dover with a third-place finish at the Brickyard, despite a crash in qualifying that resulted in him starting at the rear of the field in a backup car. Alabama wide receiver named to preseason watch list for top college football award
Per an announcement Monday afternoon, Alabama Crimson Tide wide receiver Ryan Williams has been named to the preseason watch list for the 2025 Maxwell Award. The Maxwell Award is presented annually to the most outstanding player in college football, and is an honor that the Crimson Tide have received five times before. Those winners were A.J. McCarron (2013), Derrick Henry (2015), Tua Tagovailoa (2018), DeVonta Smith (2020), and Bryce Young (2021). A sophomore, Williams enters the 2025 season coming off a stellar freshman campaign in which he received honors such as First Team All-SEC and Freshman All-America. Across 13 games, Williams hauled in 48 receptions for 865 yards and eight touchdowns, while also rushing for 48 yards and two more scores. Williams also played a role on special teams, returning 12 punts for 120 yards, as well as two kicks for 14 yards. A player who could be a sleeper candidate for the Heisman Trophy, is this yet another sign that the 2025 season is shaping up to be a massive one for Alabama's star wide receiver? Sean Payton: Dre Greenlaw plays like Mike Tyson
Linebacker Dre Greenlaw made the most of the first day in pads at Broncos training camp. Greenlaw filled gaps and delivered hits throughout team drills in Denver and head coach Sean Payton said you didn't even have to be watching to know that Greenlaw was the one landing blows. Payton said "you can hear it" when Greenlaw makes a hit and then went on to compare his style to another knockout artist from a different sport. "He plays like Mike Tyson," Payton said, via the team's website. "He's tough, he's physical. He's built that way. There's not a lot of leaky yardage. Some guys [allow that]. He's a knock-back tackler. They stop where he hits them. There's an intensity to how he plays. He's one of those players that if you put the film on and didn't say anything, at some point early, you'd ask, 'Who is this guy?'" Greenlaw was limited to two games for the 49ers last year because of injuries and a quad injury interrupted his first offseason in Denver, so one key for the Broncos will be making sure Greenlaw's healthy enough to deploy that physicality on a regular basis. If he is, facing an already tough Broncos defense will be even less enjoyable for opposing offenses in 2025.
