WhistlinDiesel Buys F1 Car in Europe, Hits Autobahn at 195 MPH, Teases Bugatti Stunt

Popular YouTube personality WhistlinDiesel has taken his automotive exploits to new heights — and speeds — with the purchase of a real Formula One race car and a 195 mph sprint down Germany's Autobahn.
Known for wild vehicle stunts and destruction tests that blur the line between car culture and chaos, the content creator — whose real name is Cody Detwiler — recently traveled to Europe to expand his garage of extreme machines.
His first stop: the Netherlands, where he took delivery of a Toro Rosso STR4 F1 car from GP Cars 4 Sale. The Red Bull-backed race car, which competed during the 2009 season, is more notable for its aesthetic and heritage than performance, having notched zero wins or podiums in its Formula One career. It currently lacks an engine — a problem Detwiler says he plans to solve with an unconventional swap aimed at making the car 'daily drivable.'
The visit also gave the YouTuber a close-up look at motorsport history, including a Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR and Bentley's 2003 Le Mans-winning Speed 8.
Next, Detwiler crossed into Germany and took to the famed Autobahn in a Ferrari 812 Superfast, managing to reach 195 mph. 'We were trying for 200,' he joked in a video, 'but traffic had other plans.'
Not one to leave viewers without a teaser, Detwiler reminded fans of his long-standing pledge: once his YouTube channel hits 10 million subscribers — it currently sits at 9.39 million — he'll purchase a Bugatti Chiron and subject it to one of his infamous durability tests.
The trip concluded with a stop at the Mercedes-Benz Museum, where Detwiler left behind a piece of a G63 G-Wagon he previously destroyed — a fitting signature for a man whose brand is built on breaking the rules, and sometimes the cars.

Nintendo Switch 2 lacks a YouTube app at launch — but it's coming ‘soon'
The Nintendo Switch 2 is proving to be a very capable game console. Our Switch 2 review in progress is filled with praise for Nintendo's latest hybrid system. However, one notable omission from the console's capabilities is the absence of a YouTube app. Thankfully, YouTube fans won't have to wait too long to get an app, as Google-owned YouTube says it's coming "soon." The official YouTube X account posted that the company is working with Nintendo to bring the app to your Switch 2, as spotted by 9To5Google. "We're working with Nintendo to make YouTube available on the Switch 2 soon," reads the post. Currently, the YouTube app is available on the original Switch console, so it's not a stretch for the follow-up to have access to the popular video streaming app too. However, it's worth noting that it took more than a year for the app to launch on the Switch — hopefully, YouTube and Nintendo are quicker this time. It's interesting that the original YouTube app isn't compatible with the Switch 2, as plenty of games and other apps have made the jump between generations without issue. It doesn't seem like there'd be anything prohibiting the YouTube app from working, but there could be something else preventing the original app from running. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. Of course, this announcement comes after we heard that Hulu and other streaming apps wouldn't work on the Nintendo Switch 2, which clearly shows that Nintendo intends for the Switch 2 to be a gaming device first.

Emily Eavis reveals Glastonbury capacity cut to avoid overcrowding
Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis has revealed that the festival sold 'a few thousand' fewer tickets this year in an attempt to reduce overcrowding. Last year, complaints emerged of huge crowds at certain sets to the point that security were forced to shut down entry to more fans. The 2025 event is sold out but apparently will not use its full 210,000 capacity when it takes place at Worthy Farm in Somerset later this month. Speaking to the BBC's Sidetracked podcast, Eavis said she wanted to see if the reduction could 'make an impact on some of the busier times'. 'It'll be interesting to see just how that affects the dynamics on site,' she said of the reduced crowd sizes. Organisers have apparently also created more room at the Other Stage, the festival's second-biggest arena, where Charli XCX will headline on the Saturday night. After the festival bought extra land, there will also be more room at the Shangri-La nightlife area. Eavis said she had held a meeting of around 250 Glastonbury staff and asked whether anyone believed the festival was overcrowded last year – apparently no one put their hand up. 'I was like, [that's] interesting because there's a lot of talk, some people think that it was,' she said. Ticket-holders will also be encouraged to use different routes and make use of the entire site in a bid to ease congestion. Eavis said that the festival's app planner, with which fans can note which artists they want to see, had helped organisers predict which areas were likely to be busiest at specific times. 'The app was really accurate last year. People plan what they're going to see,' she said. 'We can see what they're going to see, which is really useful for us from a crowd perspective.' She revealed that, since the Covid pandemic, people tended to move 'more in a herd' and so her goal was to emphasise that there are 'like 10 routes to anywhere'. This year's festival takes place between Wednesday 25 June to Monday 30 June and will be headlined by The 1975, Neil Young and Olivia Rodrigo. Other artists on the eclectic lineup include Grammy-winning rapper Doechii, rock band Wunderhorse, pop star Charli XCX, singer RAYE, Irish hip-hop trio Kneecap and mysterious band Patchwork.
