'Scrubs' reboot is coming — here's where you can stream all 9 seasons

Tom's Guide11-07-2025
After years of rumors, teases and cast reunions, 'Scrubs' is finally getting a full-blown revival.
ABC has officially ordered a new season of the zany medical comedy, bringing back original stars Zach Braff, Donald Faison, Sarah Chalke, Judy Reyes, John C. McGinley, and Neil Flynn. Series creator Bill Lawrence will also return as executive producer alongside 'Ted Lasso' alum Brett Goldstein, so if you've been waiting for the "real thing" ever since the credits rolled on the final season, this is it.
The reboot is being described as a 'continuation' rather than a total reset, picking up years after the original's finale and revisiting Sacred Heart with some familiar faces as well as plenty of new interns. Production is expected to begin in early 2026.
But if you want to revisit the highs (and occasional heartbreaks) of the original series before the reboot lands, here's where you can stream all nine seasons of "Scrubs" right now.
If you're planning to catch up on 'Scrubs' before the new series drops, you've got a few easy options. All nine seasons are currently streaming on Hulu, so you can jump straight back into Sacred Heart and follow J.D., Turk, and the rest of the gang from the very beginning. It's all there: the laughs, the heartbreak, the daydreams, and the bromance that defined the show.
You can also stream the full series on Peacock, so whether you're a longtime fan or just curious what all the fuss was about, you've got choices.
However you watch, now's the perfect time to revisit the show or watch it for the very first time. That way you'll be prepped and ready by the time the reboot finally airs on ABC.

The new 'Scrubs' series picks up years after the original finale, reuniting J.D. (Braff) and Turk (Faison) as they scrub in together once again at Sacred Heart.
A lot has changed since we last saw everyone. Medicine looks different, the new crop of interns is about bringing some new energy, and the hospital itself isn't quite what it used to be. But the heart of the show remains the same.
According to the official synopsis, while the world around them has evolved, J.D. and Turk's bromance has "stood the test of time." Series creator Bill Lawrence told The Independent last summer that talks of a reboot had been ongoing behind the scenes, even as the cast remained busy with other projects, for a while.
"We all spend time with each other in real life,' he said, 'but everybody is so talented from that show that they're all working."
That real-life closeness seems to have made its way into the new series, which isn't about rewriting the past, but continuing it and acknowledging how the characters (and the audience) have grown, while still delivering the same kind of comedy and occasional emotional moments that had people hooked in the first place.
There's not a lot more that we know just yet about the story itself, but that should unfold over time.

Sarah Michelle Gellar Dropped a 'Sparkling' Hint That She's Taking Her 'Buffy' Return Very Seriously

If Sarah Michelle Gellar's latest Instagram post doesn't get you excited about the Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot, we don't know what will. The 48-year-old actress isn't just dusting off her character, Buffy Summers; she's also making sure she's as strong as possible to tackle the role. Gellar isn't doing it alone, though; she's taking a protégé with her. Ryan Kiera Armstrong, who is starring in the Hulu pilot as a new slayer on the scene, enjoyed a fierce workout with her to prep for those vampire-slaying fight scenes. 'Warrior 1 and 2. We don't sweat … we sparkle,' Gellar wrote in the caption. This fierce moment just makes the long-awaited reboot more of a reality for fans. In mid-July, Gellar teased the table read for the pilot by sharing snapshots of her name card, a Buffy action figure, and the first script. She gave Vanity Fair some inside scoop into the reimagining of the original WB series, telling them that the show 'will be lighter than the last few seasons of the original. 'We will try to find a balance between new and old characters,' she added. 'My dream is to bring back everyone who has died, but space will have to be made for new stories as well.' When it comes to the actual script, Gellar noted that they are 'trying to figure out how to modernize the themes of the series, especially what it means to feel like an outsider in a world dominated by social media.' But viewers know that it took a long time to get the mom of two to a place where she wanted to revisit this character. 'For so many years, I said no to a possible return of the series,' she said. 'I didn't want to reintroduce something we had already seen. I waited for the right time to come. Then [director] Chloé [Zhao], a big Buffy fan, proposed the project to me, and I accepted. The gestation was long. It's been three years, and we're still working on it.' Hulu's new dating show, 'Are You My First?' takes 21 virgins on a love-finding journey

A new dating show from Hulu is featuring a bit of a different cast than most typically tend to highlight — virgins. The show, dubbed "Are You My First?," was created by the producers of "Love Island USA," showcasing 21 virgins on their quest for love. "In this groundbreaking new dating experiment, the largest, hottest group of virgins ever assembled search for intimacy, love – and maybe their first – in a tropical paradise designed just for them," Hulu's "About" page for the new show, hosted by Colton Underwood, a former "Bachelor" contestant who came out as gay, and Kaitlyn Bristowe, reads. "For the first time, they're free to explore their connections without judgment, allowing these sexy young singles to embark on a heated yet heartfelt journey packed with romantic dates, revealing challenges, and new love interests eager to find 'the one,'' Hulu says. "Who will find that special someone? And who will go home hot, bothered and heartbroken?" The reasons the 21 people on the show say they are waiting for marriage include that studies came before romance, values they hold as Christians, and that "the right one is worth the wait." For example, "Brooklyn," a 24-year-old dance teacher from Los Angeles, who is featured in a Thursday "Entertainment Weekly" article about the new show, says she is still looking "because... she believes the right one is worth the wait." "Godwin," 27, who hails from Edison, New Jersey, and works as a real estate developer, says he is still searching because "he enjoys the attention his virginity brings and is holding out for his queen." Jake, a 32-year-old from Los Angeles, says he has chosen not to have sex "because his Christian faith calls him to wait until marriage." A Thursday press release from Hulu says the group has "their hearts open and their V-cards intact." "These sexy young singles embark on a heated yet heartfelt journey, packed with romantic dates, revealing challenges, and new love interests eager to find 'the one,'" the press release reads. "Find out who's ready to go all the way when "Are You My First?" premieres Monday, Aug. 18, on Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ internationally."
