West Ham made to wait again for a Premier League win
Pressure has been building on Graham Potter in recent weeks and the West Ham manager is now eight games without a win in the Premier League. He has only collected 14 points in 15 games since replacing Julen Lopetegui as the Hammers boss in January and only the three relegated sides - Ipswich Town, Leicester City and Southampton - have collected fewer points than them since.Potter's most recent win came against Leicester in February and they have since then drawn four and lost four games.Their 1-1 draw with Southampton and the 3-2 defeat by Brighton have been particular frustrating with striker Niclas Fullkrug making scathing remarks on his team-mates after the Saints game two weeks ago.The German striker, who was in turn criticised by Potter for the outburst, was back among the starters in the 1-1 stalemate with Tottenham on Sunday but cut a frustrated figure after not getting enough service.West Ham needed their captain Jarrod Bowen to step up again with the equaliser after Wilson Odobert's early opener for Spurs and Bowen almost secured three points for the hosts with a header in the 82nd minute. But it was not to be as Potter's wait for a win goes on.They will next make the trip to Manchester United before wrapping up their campaign with games against Nottingham Forest and Ipswich.

Florian Wirtz's medical delay explained as Liverpool finally agree record deal
Liverpool's rivals for Florian Wirtz have all fallen by the wayside but the Premier League champions have yet to announce the signing of the Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz will join Liverpool this summer - but fans are still being made to wait for an official announcement. Wirtz's former Bayer Leverkusen colleague Jeremie Frimpong has completed his move to Anfield, but the German international remains in his home country for the time being. The Reds are ready to break the bank for the Germany international, who starred in Leverkusen's unbeaten Bundesliga season in 2023-24. The eventual fee, including add-ons, will be a new Premier League record of £116million. Leverkusen had attempted to play hardball on the fee, but Wirtz is set to begin the 2025-26 season as a Liverpool player - and for less than the £125m initially demanded by the selling club. However, it is understood that the delay is down to the playmaker currently being on holiday. The next formal steps are expected to take place upon Wirtz's return, after which we could see things speed up. The Reds have not been in as much of a rush as some of their Premier League rivals to get a deal over the line, as they are not involved in the Club World Cup. Wirtz is poised to become Arne Slot's third new addition this summer. Frimpong and Giorgi Mamardashvili have already completed moves, while Liverpool have helped fund some of their summer spending by selling Caoimhin Kelleher to Brentford. Liverpool's situation differs to that of Club World Cup competitors Chelsea and Manchester City. Both of those clubs made full use of the extra transfer window at the start of June, which was introduced to help teams bolster their squad for the tournament in the United States. Chelsea have added to their ranks for the Club World Cup, with Liam Delap, Dario Essugo and Mamadou Sarr all part of their squad, though Estevao Willian won't join until after the tournament. Manchester City have also significantly strengthened, Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Cherki and Rayan Ait-Nouri have all arrived, while keeper Marcus Bettinelli has joined from Chelsea to replace the outgoing Scott Carson. Wirtz isn't the only Bundesliga star on Liverpool's radar this summer. A deal for Hugo Ekitike is far less of a certainty, though, with Eintracht Frankfurt chief Markus Krosche standing firm on the £85m-rated striker. 'If the price isn't right, then he'll just stay with us. We don't have to sell Hugo,' Krosche told German media on the subject of the former Paris Saint-Germain striker, who is also of interest to Chelsea. Chelsea were unable to land the Frenchman in time for their Club World Cup campaign, with the mini transfer window for the tournament shutting on June 10. The summer window will open in earnest on Monday, giving Premier League clubs two months to bolster their squads ahead of the first round of fixtures. Mida Noodt targeting German one-two at T100 Triathlon
The 24-year-old took third in San Francisco, rounding off the medal places behind compatriot Rico Bogen and Jelle Geens. It was the perfect follow-up to a ninth-place finish at the season opener in Singapore, and success has left the German hungry for more alongside long-time friend and rival Bogen. 'Now I have finished on the podium once, I want to repeat it,' he said. 'The adrenaline and vibes you get from crossing the finish line and being in the podium spots is so valuable. I don't look too much at the overall rankings. '[Rico and I] have been racing each other for over 10 years, we started in the junior ranks. It is nice to see his progression and the course will suit him so maybe we can make it a one-two.' Noodt is enjoying his first season as a contracted T100 athlete, having been a wildcard in the inaugural season last year. There he produced a strong trio of performances, with a best showing of 18th in Singapore, but has now stepped up a level to challenge amidst a very strong field. The 24-year-old produced the best result of his career in San Francisco, finishing just under four minutes behind ultimate victor Bogen, and he believes there is still more to come from him in Vancouver. He added: 'I came here directly from San Francisco so I know the course inside out. I am enjoying the city so far and I am feeling really good in training. 'I think the course suits me better than San Francisco. I think I can find one or two per cent extra from San Francisco. 'I take a lot of confidence. When you have a great race, you always recover faster. I have got some decent training in and the confidence is there.' Watch the world's top 20 female and top 20 male triathletes race live in the Vancouver T100 on Saturday 14 June. The broadcast starts at 0915 local time, 1715 in the UK, with the men's race starting at 0930 and then the women at 1200. You can tune in live for free globally on PTO+ or watch on partners channels such as TNT Sports in the UK, Max or Discovery+ in Europe, or beIN in North America. For more details visit
