Cantwell named Max Preps national male athlete of the year
NIXA, Mo–Nixa Eagle and future Miami Hurricane offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell was named the Max Preps male athlete of the year.
Cantwell is the number one football recruit in the country for the class of 2026.
And last month he committed to play for the Miami Hurricanes.
Cantwell also won the state discus and shot put competition last weekend in Jefferson City.
Jackson Cantwell picked Miami because he feels that the Hurricane coaching staff can prepare him for the next level, the National Football League.
In his social media account, the 6-foot-8 junior said he was blessed and humbled by this award.

This isn't the first time Taylor has connected with Hudson. Since committing to Nebraska, the future quarterback has been active in his recruitment of other top players in the 2027 recruiting class.
