The SFA backed the initiative, hoping it would lead to an increase in young homegrown players playing first team football.
Celtic announced a partnership with Ayr United earlier this month, after talks with fellow Scottish Championship side Queen's Park broke down.
Rangers have now reached agreements with Raith Rovers, Alloa Athletic and Stirling Albion for similar arrangements, reports the Rangers Review.
The scheme will allow Gers to send up to three of their young stars to each of the clubs.
It gives the Ibrox club options to send players to the Championship with Raith or to League One with Alloa and League Two with Stirling.
Aberdeen, Dundee United and Hearts also engaged in discussions with lower-league counterparts.
The Dons will team up with Kelty Hearts and Elgin City for loans and the Jambos will cooperate with St Johnstone for the next year.
An SFA report last year first mentioned the introduction of a so-called Cooperation System and other possible introductions including incentives for playing young Scots in cup competitions and the implementation of a scholarship system to protect against our top talents being snapped up by English clubs before they turn 18.
SFA Chief Football Officer Andy Gould spoke to The Herald on the impact of the Cooperation System: 'This can definitely make a difference to Scotland teams of the future
'It's an opportunity for clubs to use a system that enhances their chances of getting players into their first team.
Rangers boss Russell Martin admits there will be 'a bit of pain' as he reacts to Dundee draw at Ibrox
'At the top end of the game it gives them a greater opportunity of selling those players and, down the line, there is an opportunity for the national team to get the benefit of that.
'That's not necessarily going to happen overnight, it does take a period of time.
'How many years is difficult to predict, but we need to find a competitive system which gives us a competitive edge over others and at the minute we don't have that.'

Rangers reach Champions League play-offs despite defeat in Plzen
Rangers have reached the Champions League play-off round after defeating Viktoria Plzen on aggregate. The Premiership side lost 2-1 in the second leg in the Czech Republic on Tuesday but last week's 3-0 victory at Ibrox means Rangers are 4-2 winners on aggregate and march on in the competition. The team are now just one two-legged tie away from the prestige and prize money of the League Phase in Euope's elite tournament. Last week's comfortable win meant just avoiding heavy defeat would mean safe passage to the next round but head coach Martin had warned that his side faced a tough task and he named a strong sid, with Nico Raskin and captain James Tavernier returning to the starting line-up. The team coped with the pressure in the Doosan Arena in the early exchanges but fell behind in the 41st minute. Amar Memic outpaced Jefte and his ball across goal was slammed in by Rafiu Durosinmi. Viktoria Plzen came out after the break with renewed hope they could claw back the two goals needed to level the tie but Rangers put it further out of reach on the hour mark. John Souttar's searching pass set up an attack on the right and when the ball was worked to Danilo, his strike looked off target but Cameron pounced to fire the ball high into the net. Plzen restored their lead on 83 minutes when Svetozar Markovic rose unmarked in the box to power a header past Jack Butland and set up an energetic finale but Rangers saw out the remaining minutes and injury time to take their place in the play-off. Motherwell sell teenage midfielder Lennon Miller to Udinese in club record deal
Udinese have completed the signing of teenage midfielder Lennon Miller from Motherwell in a deal worth £4.5m. The fee is a club record for the Steelmen. The 18-year-old, who came through Motherwell's youth system, is considered as one of Scottish football's most talented players. Miller has made 76 appearances for Motherwell since making his debut just days after his 16th birthday and has already played twice for Scotland. He has long been linked with a move on from Motherwell and now becomes the latest in a growing group of Scots playing in Italy's top flight. Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour were part of Napoli's Scudetto-winning side last season, while Che Adams, Josh Doig and Lewis Ferguson all play in the league. Udinese teased Miller's signing on social media with a picture of the Loch Ness Monster before confirming his move on a five-year contract. — Udinese Calcio (@Udinese_1896) August 12, 2025 Both clubs then confirmed the deal, with Motherwell sharing a video with the player saying goodbye to the club where he has made his name. 'Motherwell is all I've ever known,' Miller said in a statement announcing the move. 'It's been my home since I was a young boy, and I've achieved my dream of playing in the first-team, playing in the big stadiums and wearing the armband. 'My thanks goes to all the supporters for taking me in. The support up and down the country every week has been exceptional. For all the coaches I've worked under and who have helped me improve as a player and as a man, thank you. I simply wouldn't be here without their guidance and support. 'To all the players who I've played alongside with, and for all the kind words they've said about me, thank you. My teammates have helped me through everything and allowed me to play with freedom. 'I want to also express my appreciation to all the staff behind the scenes at the club. Some are still there, some have moved on, but they all work so hard to keep the place going. You may not see first-hand the hard work and sacrifices they make, but having been in the building all these years, I can't thank them enough for everything they do. 'This is a new chapter in my life, and I move on filled with excitement. I may not be at Fir Park to cheer on the boys, but I'll be watching and following from afar. The club has a big place in my heart, and I will always be grateful. I wish all the lads the best for the rest of the season.' Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 3 Lennon Miller was given his Scotland debut this year 3 He's been the star man for Motherwell the past two seasons 3 He won the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year award for 2024/25 But the rumour mill can finally stop now that he has joined Udinese on a five-year deal. Motherwell posted on X confirming the news, as the teenager said his goodbyes to the fans in an emotional video. Miller said: "I have spent most of my life here watching first-team games and to finally be a part of that was something special. 'They were moments I'll never forget. To get a debut so young, you don't expect the next season to play nearly ever game. 'It's all thanks to the managers I've worked under and I want to thank all of them. 'I came here as a young boy and watched. The goal was to play here in front of the fans. 'All I've ever known is Motherwell and for it all to change so quickly will be difficult - but I'm looking forward to it. 'Everybody has been great at the club. The managers, the fans and the players. I want to thank them. 'There are loads of experienced players in there who have said some kind words about me. 'It was a really special moment to captain the club in a cup semi-final. You don't get much better than that. Motherwell players celebrate Lennon Miller turning 18 with birthday cake supplied by Scottish Sun 'There have been emotions for different reasons. My last game at Fir Park was an emotional time. 'I came in as a young boy and the fans took to me straight away and gave me the backing I needed to find my confidence and thrive at the club." Miller, 18, had been linked with moves to both Celtic and Rangers as well as other teams abroad - including French outfit Strasbourg, who have a strategic link with Premier League giants Chelsea. He is also understood to have knocked back Ipswich Town, who were one of several English clubs to have directly kept tabs on him. The son of former Aberdeen, Dundee United and Falkirk striker Lee Miller, midfielder Lennon broke into the Motherwell first team during the 2022/23 campaign. And the following season he enjoyed a truly breakout year, playing 32 times and scoring twice for the Fir Park side as a teenager. He had been in the youth system of the Lanarkshire club since he was seven. Miller was called up to the senior Scotland squad for the first time in March of this year and then made his full debut in June against Iceland. He now becomes the sixth active Scots player in Serie A (with a seventh, Liam Henderson, having just signed for Sampdoria in Serie B). Udinese have paid Motherwell a fee in the region of £4.5million for his services. The Serie A club posted on X, saying: "One of the brightest young talents in European football joins Udinese. "A modern midfielder, capable of combining technique, vision, and character, he arrives from Motherwell FC with a five-year contract." Kosta Runjaić's men finished 12th in the league last season, the Austrian's first as head coach. Udinese already have former Celtic striker Vakoun Bayo on their books, having signed him from Watford last summer. He was sent back on loan to Vicarage Road for the duration 2024/25 season however, scoring ten goals in 41 Championship appearances. But without doubt the most high-profile name amongst the squad is ex-Arsenal and Barcelona star Alexis Sanchez. Keep up to date with ALL the latest news and transfers at the Scottish Sun football page
