He won the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year award for 2024/25
But the rumour mill can finally stop now that he has joined Udinese on a five-year deal.
Motherwell posted on X confirming the news, as the teenager said his goodbyes to the fans in an emotional video.
Miller said: "I have spent most of my life here watching first-team games and to finally be a part of that was something special.
'They were moments I'll never forget. To get a debut so young, you don't expect the next season to play nearly ever game.
'It's all thanks to the managers I've worked under and I want to thank all of them.
'I came here as a young boy and watched. The goal was to play here in front of the fans.
'All I've ever known is Motherwell and for it all to change so quickly will be difficult - but I'm looking forward to it.
'Everybody has been great at the club. The managers, the fans and the players. I want to thank them.
'There are loads of experienced players in there who have said some kind words about me.
'It was a really special moment to captain the club in a cup semi-final. You don't get much better than that.

'There have been emotions for different reasons. My last game at Fir Park was an emotional time.
'I came in as a young boy and the fans took to me straight away and gave me the backing I needed to find my confidence and thrive at the club."
Miller, 18, had been linked with moves to both Celtic and Rangers as well as other teams abroad - including French outfit Strasbourg, who have a strategic link with Premier League giants Chelsea.
He is also understood to have knocked back Ipswich Town, who were one of several English clubs to have directly kept tabs on him.
The son of former Aberdeen, Dundee United and Falkirk striker Lee Miller, midfielder Lennon broke into the Motherwell first team during the 2022/23 campaign.
And the following season he enjoyed a truly breakout year, playing 32 times and scoring twice for the Fir Park side as a teenager.
He had been in the youth system of the Lanarkshire club since he was seven.
Miller was called up to the senior Scotland squad for the first time in March of this year and then made his full debut in June against Iceland.
He now becomes the sixth active Scots player in Serie A (with a seventh, Liam Henderson, having just signed for Sampdoria in Serie B).
Udinese have paid Motherwell a fee in the region of £4.5million for his services.
The Serie A club posted on X, saying: "One of the brightest young talents in European football joins Udinese.
"A modern midfielder, capable of combining technique, vision, and character, he arrives from Motherwell FC with a five-year contract."
Kosta Runjaić's men finished 12th in the league last season, the Austrian's first as head coach.
Udinese already have former Celtic striker Vakoun Bayo on their books, having signed him from Watford last summer.
He was sent back on loan to Vicarage Road for the duration 2024/25 season however, scoring ten goals in 41 Championship appearances.
But without doubt the most high-profile name amongst the squad is ex-Arsenal and Barcelona star Alexis Sanchez.

Jarrad Branthwaite injury: Everton suffer nightmare blow just days before season
Jarrad Branthwaite signed a new contract at Everton over the summer, but he will miss the opening few weeks of the new season after aggravating a hamstring injury Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite will miss the start of the season after suffering a hamstring injury days before his side's Premier League opener at Leeds. Centre-back Branthwaite, 23, was forced to limp out of training after suffering an injury to his right hamstring, the same area he injured in Everton's final game at Goodison Park against Southampton in May. The Mail report that Branthwaite could be sidelined until the end of September, causing him to miss the first six games of the new Premier League season - including a Merseyside derby at Anfield - as well as Everton's Carabao Cup second round tie at home to Mansfield. Branthwaite, who picked up his so far only England cap last year, is also likely to be forced out of contention for Thomas Tuchel's Three Lions squad next month, when they face Andorra and Serbia in World Cup qualifiers. Branthwaite had been attracting interest from several Premier League sides prior to signing a new contract at Everton this summer, and is seen as a key figure in David Moyes ' side ahead of their first season at their new Hill Dickinson Stadium. Fellow centre-back James Tarkowski underwent hamstring surgery earlier this summer and has been eased back into action over pre-season, with Jake O'Brien and Michael Keane also still on the books at the club. Moyes was already keen to add a new centre-back to his squad this summer prior to Branthwaite's injury, with the Scot still desperate for more faces to add to his squad after bringing in midfielders Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Jack Grealish. Speaking on the club's pre-season tour of the US, Moyes said: "We've got huge priorities as far as where we would like to try and buy the players if we could do. "But also, we've got a numbers situation as well, we're short in numbers, so there's a bit of both. We're trying to get the pieces we really want first, and that's what we've been fighting to do. So hopefully we can, hopefully things will fall into place. "But we're just beginning to think, my goodness, we're just not getting enough over the line. "Because we are actively working to try [and] it's not as if we're a club who are saying [that] we're waiting to sell a player before we can bring one in. But it's not really the situation. We've got money to spend, and we'll have to try and spend it wisely." Join our new WhatsApp community and receive your daily dose of Mirror Football content. Giuseppe Ambrosino moves Celtic transfer goalposts as Louis Munteanu mystery cleared up
Brendan Rodgers is still looking for more firepower ahead of next week's Champions League playoff first leg Celtic-linked Giuseppe Ambrosino has made a U-turn on his future at Napoli. The Italy Under-21 youth star is one of many strikers thought to be on the radar of Parkhead scouts. However, Celts aren't the only club keeping tabs on the youngster, who is out of contract next summer. Serie A rivals Cremonese have been leading the chase to prize Ambrosino away from the Scudetto winners. The 21-year-old has been training on his own in Naples after being left out of Antonio Conte's pre-season training camp. But Italian outlet Corriere del Mezzogiorno reports that Ambrosino is determined to stay put and fight for his future in Naples. It's said that academy graduate is willing to stick around and compete with Romelu Lukaku and Lorenzo Lucca for the centre forward spot. Cremonese were confident of securing a loan deal with an option to buy but Ambrosino has now moved the goalposts. The in-demand attacker spent last season with Frosinone in Serie B where he chipped in with five goals and four assists. Meanwhile another forward Celtic have been linked with has dropped out of CFR Cluj's Europa League squad. Romanian hitman Louis Munteanu netted 25 goals last term and was reportedly the subject of a Hoops bid in January. French sides Nice and Lille have also been monitoring the goal machine - who previously insisted that he's happy in Romania. However, it emerged tonight that the 23-year-old has not travelled to Portugal for Thursday's Europa League showdown with Braga. That prompted rumours that Munteanu could be edging towards an exit. But Cluj president Cristi Balaj quelled the speculation by revealing Munteanu had been ruled out through injury. He told DigiSport: "Louis Munteanu has a minor muscle problem. It's a contracture. When you have a contracture and you don't follow the treatment for a few days, you risk a muscle tear."
