Four-star safety Craig Tutt raves about recent Auburn visit, has Tigers in top-three The Tigers are now in a three-way race for Craig Tutt after a successful visit to the Plains.
A four-star cornerback from Tennessee is raving about his recent visit to Auburn.
Craig Tutt, a four-star cornerback from Oakland High School in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, recently paid a visit to Auburn and came away impressed with what he experienced. Tutt, like several recent visitors, had no idea what to expect before visiting the Plains, but learned quickly that Auburn is a special place.
"Oh man, it's amazing," Tutt said in an interview with Auburn Undercover. "It's completely not what I expected — it's actually more than I expected it to be. I'm excited that I got a chance to come down here and explore it all. Some things that stood out to me were Coach Freeze is very into the recruits. Even though we were here at like 10 o'clock last night and he's up here chilling with us, taking pictures and stuff like that. It's like a family here. I know none of the players here, but they welcomed me with open arms, just helping me with whatever I need. Coaches being a family here and just pushing that all on me that it's a family here, and that's true."
Tutt has now placed Auburn in his top three following his visit, joining Ole Miss and in-state program Tennessee. Tutt has visited Tennessee and Auburn, and will conclude his official tour on June 20 at Ole Miss before making an important decision regarding his future.
Tutt tells Auburn Undercover that he does not have a timeline for a commitment, and that he will visit Auburn during the season. Tutt is looking for a program that values family and relationships, and a program that will allow him to earn his spot on the field. Auburn appears to check all of the boxes.
Auburn's 2026 recruiting class ranks No. 52 according to 247Sports following the recent decommitment of four-star linebacker JaMichael Garrett. Hugh Freeze will look to boost his defensive back haul this cycle, and Tutt would be a valued addition.

Three takeaways from LSU baseball's College World Series win vs. Arkansas

Three takeaways from LSU baseball's College World Series win vs. Arkansas LSU baseball started its College World Series with a 4-1 win over third-seeded Arkansas on Saturday in Omaha. With their ace Kade Anderson on the mound, the No. 6 Tigers took an early lead and didn't look back in the victory over their SEC rival. They finished with six hits in the low-scoring affair. Zach Root made the start for the Razorbacks, but he didn't make it out of the second inning. The All-SEC first teamer surrendered just two hits but couldn't land his pitches for strikes often enough as he was charged with the loss. Gabe Gaeckle pitched six innings of relief, giving up one run and striking out 10. In a matchup between the betting favorites to win the national championship, neither side could quite breakthrough following the Tigers' second inning outburst. They left eight runners on base but relied on their pitching staff to hold off Arkansas. Here are three takeaways from LSU's win over Arkansas from Charles Schwab Field. Anderson took control on the mound With an early lead, Anderson used his elite fastball-changeup combination to keep Arkansas hitters off balance and record another quality start. Through seven innings, the left-handed pitcher allowed just three hits and seven strikeouts. In what was expected to be a pitcher's dual against Root, Anderson got his stuff working throughout the contest. He responded after surrendering the lone run off a solo homer in the sixth by getting three strikeouts and three groundouts through the following two frames. Anderson's outing only furthered his case to be the No. 1 overall pick in the MLB Draft. Small ball in the second inning made the difference LSU couldn't find power in Saturday's contest as its top three hitters went a combined 0-13. In its three-run second inning, the Tigers resorted to small ball and hit just one ball out of the infield. Chris Stanfield drove in the first run with a single to left field, then Michael Braswell was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. With the bases loaded, Josh Pearson grounded a ball to shortstop to plate the third run of the frame. The Tigers kept the line moving by putting the ball in play and not overthinking their at bats against Arkansas' ace, which led him to exiting the game with two outs in the second. Bullpen turns in strong showing Following Anderson's exit, Chase Shores and Casan Evans held the Razorbacks off the score board to preserve the victory. Shores needed just 10 pitches to get through the frame and he touched 100 multiple times, a good sign for LSU as it advances in the College World Series field. 10 of Evans' 13 pitches were strikes in a crucial ninth inning. Despite surrendering a leadoff single, the true freshman picked up a strikeout and induced two groundouts to end the game. In the stellar outing for LSU's pitching staff, Arkansas only had three guys reach second base throughout the contest. Evans and Shores' efficiency means they'll both be available out of the pen on Monday.

Oregon Ducks QB target picks up offer from SEC school after visit

Oregon Ducks QB target picks up offer from SEC school after visit The Oregon Ducks made some noise in the recruiting world a week ago with a scholarship offer that led to some dominos falling. A few days ago, the Ducks extended a scholarship offer to 3-star QB Bryson Beaver, who was committed to the Boise State Broncos at the time. Less than 24 hours later, Beaver announced his decommitment from Boise State, with many expecting him to take a visit to Oregon and potentially join the Ducks shortly. It appears that other schools have taken notice, though, and Beaver's recruitment is starting to heat up. Over the weekend, he announced that he received a scholarship offer from the Ole Miss Rebels after taking a visit down to Oxford to see the SEC school. Beaver also has offers from Utah, California, Hawaii, UNLV, and Coastal Carolina, among others. According to 247Sports, an Ohio State Buckeyes coach has also been in to see Beaver over the past year. While we're getting into the busy summer months of recruiting, it's fair to expect Beaver's recruitment to heat up as other teams take notice. The Ducks may have been early on Beavers, the No. 19 QB in the 2026 class, per On3, but they will likely have some challengers when it comes to landing him when all is said and done. 'Think this one close the book...' 2026 5-star DL leaves Texas A&M OV on a high note

'Think this one close the book...' 2026 5-star DL leaves Texas A&M OV on a high note This weekend, Texas A&M coach Mike Elko and his impressive coaching staff hosted 15 elite prospects in the 2026 recruiting class, headlined by the return of five-star OL/DL Lamar Brown, who recently took official visits to Miami and Texas before his final official visit to LSU on June 20. After changing his commitment date to Thursday, July 10, Texas A&M defensive line coaches Tony Jerod-Eddie and Sean Spencer have been working diligently to develop strong communication with the Louisiana native, who took several unofficial visits to College Station during the spring period. Despite the effort from LSU, Texas, and Miami, this weekend's official visit could seal the deal for Brown and the Aggies, according to one source. Following his recruitment closer than most, Rivals recruiting insider Adam Gorney stated on X may have taken his "final step" towards committing to Texas A&M next month after Lamar Brown tweeted, "Think this one close the book..." Landing one of the best athletes over the last decade would be monumental for a coaching staff that's entering just its second season in College Station, while Elko's ability to create deep connections with prospects in Louisiana and Georgia, where LSU and Georgia dominate in-state recruiting, is remarkable to say the least. At the next level, he could play on either side of the trenches, but knows that he will thrive at defensive tackle, which the Aggies, and nearly every program, are recruiting him at, especially knowing that his NFL future depends on picking the right position. According to 247Sports, Brown is currently positioned as the 7th-ranked prospect in the 2026 class, the No. 1-ranked IOL, and the No. 1-ranked prospect in Louisiana.
