Kim Kardashian reflects on 6 years of Law Office study
Kim Kardashian has done it again. The reality TV icon, business mogul, and now law school graduate has officially completed her six-year legal journey.
On Wednesday, Kim, 44, celebrated with a heartfelt ceremony surrounded by her family, friends, and a mountain of study notes. Some notes were even used as quirky table settings for the day.
'Finally!' Kim declared on Instagram, donning her graduation cap and beaming with pride. Her journey was anything but ordinary, as she didn't attend a traditional university.
Instead, she joined California's Law Office Study Program, which allows aspiring lawyers to 'read the law' under the guidance of practising attorneys.
This path is rare—even in the United States—and is only legal in four states.
Kim's motivation for studying law was that she was 'dumbfounded' by the state of the legal system. This was especially so after seeing a video about criminal justice reform, according to E News.
That moment sparked her determination to make a difference. 'All of you guys have been on this journey with me,' Kim said during her speech.
'It did start with Van [Jones] and me. Well, it started with the Twitter video that I saw that popped up.'
Her commitment was staggering; as Kim clocked 18 hours of study each week, 48 weeks a year, for six years.
That's 5,184 hours—while raising four children, running her SKIMS empire, filming reality shows, and advocating for justice in real courtrooms.
Her legal mentor, Jessica Jackson, called it 'one of the most inspiring legal journeys we've ever seen.'
'Six years ago, Kim Kardashian walked into this programme with nothing but a fierce desire to fight for justice.
No law school lectures, no ivory tower shortcuts, just determination and a mountain of case law books to read,' Jackson said at the ceremony.
The celebration was intimate but lively, as Khloé Kardashian, Kim's sister, gushed, 'This was years and years in the making.
This was just such a cool accomplishment, and I'm so proud. This was inspiring and motivating.'
Kim Kardashian has not only achieved personal success in her legal studies but has also actively driven significant change in criminal justice reform.
She famously helped to secure clemency for Alice Marie Johnson in 2018, her dedication is winning respect far beyond Hollywood.
But the journey isn't over, as Kim now faces the notoriously tough California Bar Exam, the final hurdle before she can officially practise law.
The California Bar Exam takes place twice a year, every February and July. If Kim passes the exam, she will join the ranks of practising attorneys, just like her late father, Robert Kardashian.
Kim's story is a reminder that unconventional paths can lead to extraordinary achievements.
Her dedication, resilience, and ability to juggle family, business, and study are nothing short of remarkable.
Kim Kardashian: reality star, entrepreneur, and now, a step away from becoming a lawyer.

When bromance turns sour: the hilarious digital feud between Elon Musk and Donald Trump
The budding bromance between US President Donald Trump and SA-born billionaire Elon Musk is over Image: Graphic/Se-Anne Rall Breakups can be catastrophic, and when they happen on a global stage, they morph from private heartbreaks into public spectacles. Add social media into the mix, and it's a full-blown circus. Such is the case with Elon Musk and Donald Trump, whose relationship has unravelled in a way that's equal parts cringeworthy, comedic, and political chaos. And while most breakups involve a few sharp words, maybe an awkward run-in at the grocery store, this one comes with viral tweets, passive-aggressive barbs, and a nation's economic future hanging in the balance. In true breakup fashion, even the ex got involved. Ashley St. Clair, Musk's former partner and mom to their 9-month-old son Romulus, couldn't resist throwing shade. On June 5, she tweeted, 'Hey @realDonaldTrump, lmk if u need any breakup advice.' Brutal. The feud has turned into a digital slugfest, with both men dredging up old posts to prove their points. Image: screenshot/X Cue the internet to lose its collective mind. One TikTok user dubbed it the "first messy breakup of Pride Month," and another quipped, 'So bad things are happening in America?' Even St. Clair's subtle shade couldn't overshadow the drama unfolding between Musk and Trump, two men who seem hell-bent on proving that the real fireworks of 2025 will be on Twitter or 'X,' as Musk prefers to call it now. The gloves are off. Musk, who was once one of Trump's biggest allies and financial backers, didn't hold back. He blasted Trump's new spending bill, calling it a 'deficit-fueling behemoth' and accusing the president of betraying conservative principles. "Without me, Trump would have lost the election," Musk declared on X, adding, 'Such ingratitude.' Trump, never one to let a perceived slight slide, fired back on his own platform, Truth Social. He claimed Musk's departure wasn't as amicable as it seemed. 'Elon was wearing thin,' Trump wrote, accusing Musk of 'going crazy' after learning the electric vehicle mandate was being cut. Elon: I got Trump elected Trump: I asked Elon to leave and maybe I'll take away his government contracts Elon: Trump is in the Epstein files — Stephen Sanchez (@SSanchezTV) June 5, 2025 The president of the United States of America even brought Musk's beloved EVs into the mix. "I took away his EV mandate that forced everyone to buy Electric Cars that nobody else wanted," Trump said, painting Musk as a scorned ex who just couldn't let go. Social media is the new battlefield. The feud has turned into a digital slugfest, with both men dredging up old posts to prove their points. Image: screenshot/tiktok Musk reposted Trump's 2013 tweet criticising Republicans for raising the debt ceiling, sarcastically commenting, 'Wise words.' He even questioned whether the current Trump is a 'body double,' wondering what happened to the man who once championed balanced budgets. Trump, on the other hand, accused Musk of changing his position only after his EV interests were threatened, claiming, "Elon knew this bill inside out and had no problem with it until it hit his bottom line." hey @realDonaldTrump lmk if u need any breakup advice — Ashley St. Clair (@stclairashley) June 5, 2025 If their exchanges seem petty, that's because they are. But the stakes are anything but small. Behind the snarky tweets and veiled insults lies a growing divide over America's economic strategy, with Musk railing against what he sees as reckless spending and Trump doubling down on his legislative agenda. Dirty laundry and public spectacles; the public has been eating it up. From TikTok to Twitter, the internet is awash with commentary on the feud. But in reality, this isn't just tabloid fodder, it's a messy clash of egos with real political consequences. For now, the fallout continues to unfold in real-time. Musk has made it clear he's not backing down, calling Trump's policies 'a disgusting abomination.' Meanwhile, Trump has hinted that Musk's attacks are only going to escalate, saying, 'I don't know if we will [have a great relationship] anymore.' Meghan Markle teams up with Tina Knowles for podcast finale
Meghan Markle wrapped up her hit podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder , with a surprise guest who needs no introduction—Tina Knowles. The final bonus episode, released this week, has tongues wagging about Meghan's 'calculated rebrand'. Meghan didn't hold back, as she admitted that launching her lifestyle brand, 'As Ever', was far from smooth sailing. Products like her signature raspberry jam, honey, and herbal teas (which sold for about £10.80—roughly R250) flew off the shelves in just 45 minutes. But success brought its headaches. 'People see all the flashy stuff and they see the product,' Meghan Markle told Tina, according to E News. 'But that end game… those behind-the-scenes moments… how many tears I've shed,' she revealed. The Duchess described the chaos that followed, as orders poured in, but many went unfulfilled. 'Are we going to replenish and sell out again in an hour? Or is that annoying as a customer?' she wondered aloud. Her solution? 'Just pause. That happened. Let's wait until we are completely stable and we have everything we need,' Meghan explained, showing a level-headed approach that many South African entrepreneurs will recognise. Tina Knowles, now 71, brought her brand of wisdom to the table. She's not just Beyoncé's mum—she's a business powerhouse in her own right, having run a top Houston salon and launched fashion lines like House of Deréon. Tina knows a thing or two about balancing family and business. She shared her secret to handling disagreements with her famous daughters. 'We have differing opinions at times, but ultimately, it's her business. I'm just here to assist. If we disagree, it's her venture, so she gets to prevail,' Tina Knowles said. She added, 'If my kids are mad at me, I can't take it. I'll apologise'. Keep the peace and put family first, a lesson that resonates across cultures. This episode was about motherhood, resilience, and the power of women supporting women. Meghan admitted, 'This episode proves to be a powerful toolkit of truths that I will apply to my own life as I, too, grow my business, care for my family, and look forward to new adventures'. As Meghan and Tina swapped stories about juggling ambition and family, listeners got a rare, honest look at what it takes to build a brand from scratch. As for Meghan she's pressing pause on new products until 2026, determined to avoid the pitfalls of scarcity marketing. 'I don't want you to eat that jam once every six months. I want it to be on your shelf all the time,' she said. Meghan's podcast finale was a masterclass in perseverance, delivered with a touch of royal sparkle and a whole lot of heart. P4G Mixed Tournament extra special for Richard and Kim Woolrich
FINE FORM Richard Woolrich is all focus as his wife Kim returns a shot to their opponents GP and Lena-Lisa Bester in the finals of this past weekend's Mixed tournament in Bree Street. Picture: Keith Lyle/Cape Town Sport Photography. The event hosted athletes rated between 2 and 5 on the PlayTomic App - allowing lower-ranked players to level up and compete against more skilled opponents. This past weekend's show was not only the first mixed event at Padel4Good's new home since relocating from Paarden Eiland, but it was also the first time the brand would cast a wider net in terms of skill level. Competing at the high-end Racket+Ball Club in Bree Street, the couple secured their very first P4G title together when they overcame the dangerous duo of GP & Lena-Lisa Bester in the final of the competition that catered for 32 players registered on the PlayTomic App. The latest Padel4Good tournament in Cape Town was extra special for Richard and Kim Woolrich, who were crowned the first P4G mixed champions of 2025! Building a Legacy on the Padel Courts: Kim and Richard's Inspiring Journey with Padel4Good 'Mixed tournaments are great as you get exposed to a higher level, and the rallies are amazing. This event was also an opportunity for my husband and I to compete together in a sport we love,' said Kim Woolrich, who thrives off competitive moments. 'It was a great event with a great level of Padel. It feels extraordinary to win with my husband,' said Kim with a chuckle. Kim and Richard are slowly building a fearsome reputation on Padel courts across the Mother City, and by the looks of things, they're not slowing down. 'We have met so many amazing people through Padel. It's such a fun game, and I can feel that I am improving. My husband and I have played a few Padel4Good tournaments, and aside from the vibe, we love supporting such a great cause. "We also won the Africa Padel Mixed League,' added Kim, who also has three first-division ladies league titles to her name. Kim and Richard are playing the All Stars Mixed League at the Virgin Active Padel Centre in Paarden Eiland. Richard shares Kim's sentiments and is particularly proud of competing at such a high level with his wife. 'What a lekker way to spend a Friday date night with my wife! I have played a couple of the Padel4Good tournaments but I never made it into the finals. It was very cool to win in a strong mixed tournament with my wife. "And if I am not mistaken, I think we were the only husband and wife combo,' said Richard, who is a former Epicentre first-division men's winner. Aside from providing a platform to compete in one of the fastest-growing sports in the world, Padel4Good also aims to help women and children across the Western Cape. With the help of sponsors, ticket sales, and support from players, the non-profit organization works hand in hand with various brands to assist women and children exposed to and affected by gender-based violence, abuse, poverty, and hunger. 'Supporting a charity and combining it with what we love and get excited about every day is a no-brainer! We will be back at the next tournament. I want to thank everyone who dedicated their time to making this happen and finding a very clever way of giving back,' added Richard. Padel4Good returns on June 27th.
