Crypto prices remained range-bound on Friday, with Bitcoin trading marginally lower amid mixed signals from global markets and continued institutional inflows Bitcoin was last down 0.3% at $109,031, having touched an intraday high of $110,541 earlier in the session. Ethereum slipped 1% to $2,563. The global crypto market capitalisation also dipped 0.5% to $3.37 trillion, according to CoinMarketCap data.Major altcoins traded in the red, with XRP, Solana, Dogecoin, and Cardano shedding between 1% and 3%. Other top tokens such as Chainlink, Avalanche, Stellar, Toncoin, Shiba Inu, and Litecoin also declined up to 3%.Despite the mild pullback, analysts said market sentiment remains broadly positive, supported by institutional buying and a healthy technical setup.'Bitcoin (BTC) is hovering around $109,000, showing resilience after touching an intraday high near $110K,' said Shivam Thakral, CEO of BuyUcoin. 'Flows into spot BTC ETFs remain strong, drawing institutional capital and supporting prices. A breakout above $114K could trigger the next leg of the rally.'Edul Patel, Co-founder and CEO of Mudrex, echoed the optimism, noting that bulls continue to defend key levels.'Bitcoin is holding strong above the $109,000 mark despite brief selling pressure following U.S. payroll data,' Patel said. 'Data from The Block shows 98.9% of Bitcoin holders are currently 'in the money', reflecting strong market confidence. If Ethereum stays above $2,500, we could see a rally toward $2,700 driven by whale accumulation and institutional interest.'Adding to the upbeat outlook, Avinash Shekhar, Co-Founder and CEO of Pi42, said rising open interest and unrealised profits suggest the market is not overheated yet.'Bitcoin is trading firmly above $109,000, with the unrealised profit ratio at 80%—a healthy sign of confidence among holders. Open interest is rising again, reflecting renewed enthusiasm without signs of excessive speculation,' Shekhar said. 'Ethereum is holding within its expected range, supported by improving macro sentiment and equity market gains.'Among altcoins, Shekhar noted that XRP is showing strong upward potential with technical indicators pointing toward a possible move to $3, while Dogecoin has regained strength after breaking above its 50-day trendline. With bullish fundamentals intact, analysts believe Bitcoin may soon test the $110,000 mark again and possibly chart a path toward new all-time highs around $115,000.(Disclaimer: Recommendations, suggestions, views and opinions given by the experts are their own. Bitcoin slips below $116k, Ethereum holds above $3600; altcoin trade higher

Crypto markets continued to trade sideways on Friday, July 25, 2025. The market saw $721.84 million in liquidations over the last 24 hours, with long positions accounting for $567.43 million. Ethereum and Bitcoin were the most impacted, with $164.20 million and $155.38 million in liquidations, respectively. With this, the flagship currency Bitcoin (BTC) has slipped below $116,000 levels. Ethereum (ETH), on the other hand, has shown some resistance and continued to trade higher. Last check, Bitcoin was quoted trading at $115,169.79, down 1.92 per cent, with 24-hour trading volume of $86.77 billion. BTC is currently 6.26 per cent down from its all-time high of $123,091 scaled nearly 11 days ago on July 14, on CoinMarketCap. The total market capitalisation of Bitcoin recorded at $2.29 trillion, cementing its position as the largest crypto coin by market cap. BTC has fluctuated in the range of $115,077.22 – $119,535.45 in the last 24 hours. Analysis weigh in The investors, Vikram Subburaj, CEO, Giottus, said, are anticipating a move towards $114,000–$115,000 to sweep liquidity. "Once it finds support in this region, Bitcoin can consolidate at these prices before it begins its next rally. Spot ETFs have registered net outflows this week confirming the trend," said Subburaj. Bitcoin's decline from $119,000 to below $116,000, Riya Sehgal, research analyst, Delta Exchange, believes triggered a wave of long liquidations, especially in the $117,000–$120,000 range, where over-leveraged positions were concentrated. "A liquidity buildup between $113,000 and $115,000 could act as short-term support, while the $120,000 level remains a strong resistance zone. On the institutional side, BTC ETFs recorded $226.7 million in inflows on July 24 after three days of outflows, suggesting cautious re-entry by larger investors amid broader market volatility," said Sehgal. Ethereum Altcoin trade higher Meanwhile, Ethereum has found its footing above $3,600, though it couldn't quite hold onto the gains that pushed it near $3,800 earlier this week. Last check it was trading with gains of 2.59 per cent at $3,625.76 levels with a 24-hour trading volume of $43.71 billion. Among other altcoins, Maple Finance (SYRUP), Ethena (ENA), Cronos (CRO), Curve DAO Token (CRV), XDC Network (XDC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Bonk (BONK), Monero (XMR), Sky (SKY), TRON (TRX) were the top gainers on CoinMarketCap, rising in the range of 4.24–25 per cent. (PUMP), on the other hand, was the top loser, trading lower by 19 per cent. Further, among the popular altcoins, Ripple (XRP) was trading higher by 1.22 per cent, Cardano (ADA) by 2.41 per cent, Solana (SOL) by 1 per cent, Sui (SUI) by 1.35 per cent, Binance Coin (BNB) by 1.44 per cent, and Hyperliquid (HYP) by 0.81 per cent.

‘Confident India will get special treatment…': Piyush Goyal says trade deal talks with US making ‘fantastic' progress; ‘important to…'

India has hardened its stance on opening its agriculture and dairy sector - a consistent stand in all its trade deals so far. (AI image) India-US trade deal negotiations are making 'fantastic' progress according to Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal . His statement comes days ahead of US President Donald Trump 's reciprocal tariff deadline of August 1. Both India and the US are looking to seal a mini or interim trade deal ahead of that. Goyal has also expressed optimism about getting preferential treatment for India from the Trump administration, according to a Reuters report. In the last few days Trump has announced several trade deals with countries like Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia and Philippines. Earlier this month the US President sent out tariff letters to over 20 countries informing them of tariff rates effective August 1. Since then some of these countries have struck a trade deal with America. Notably, India has not received any letter so far. India Eyes 'Special Treatment' From US During his United Kingdom visit for the signing of the India-UK trade deal, Goyal downplayed the significance of deadlines in trade negotiations whilst expressing optimism about the discussions with the United States. "We're making fantastic progress with the United States, and I do hope we'll be able to conclude a very consequential partnership," Goyal said when asked about the trade deal. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Compare Spreads: Bitcoin vs Ethereum CFDs IC Markets Learn More Undo Also Read | India-US trade deal: India wants Donald Trump administration to offer tariff rate lower than Indonesia; eyes competitive advantage India has hardened its stance on opening its agriculture and dairy sector - a consistent stand in all its trade deals so far. The US is pushing for access into these two sectors. When questioned about potential disagreements with Washington regarding agriculture, Goyal responded that "negotiations happen in the negotiation room", whilst indicating that India would consider accepting smaller sectoral achievements rather than insisting on a comprehensive agreement. Importantly, Goyal said that India is looking for preferential market access into the US compared to its competitors. "All options are on the table, and we will see how it plays out, but what is important is to get preferential market access over our competitors, our peers," he was quoted as saying by Reuters. "And I'm very confident that India, having been the first country to start negotiating, will be given a special and preferred treatment,' he added. Earlier this week Reuters reported government sources as saying that an interim trade deal with the US ahead of the August 1 deadline for 26% reciprocal tariffs looks unlikely. Goyal expressed his view that negotiations have never been successful when constrained by timelines or predetermined restrictions. He emphasised his desire for an agreement that benefits all parties involved. "One has to have a broad mind and a package which is balanced and can give equity to both sides." What Trump Has Said In the last few weeks, the US President has repeatedly indicated that a trade deal with India is 'near'. Indian officials were in the US last week for the fifth round of talks for the bilateral trade agreement. According to a PTI report, US officials are likely to visit India in the second half of August for another round of trade talks. While both countries are targeting the first phase of the trade deal by fall, expectations have been there for an interim agreement being announced. While announcing a trade deal with Indonesia, Trump had indicated that the trade deal with India is being worked on similar lines in terms of market access. He has time and again asked major world economies to open their markets for US products, indicating flexibility in bringing down tariff rates. His comments came after sealing a trade deal with Japan with 15% reciprocal tariffs on the latter. Prior to the August 1 deadline, the US President has specified a minimum tariff rate of 15%, indicating an upward shift in the baseline from 10%. "We'll have a straight, simple tariff of anywhere between 15% and 50%," Trump said Wednesday at an AI summit in Washington according to a Bloomberg report. UK, Australia back embattled submarine deal with US

Britain said Friday it will join Australia in a 50-year commitment to their nuclear-powered submarine pact with the United States, seeking to bolster a deal that Washington has thrown into doubt. Britain touted its "historic" new treaty with Australia in a government statement but gave few details beyond saying it would help economic cooperation, and "underpin" the existing three-nation AUKUS pact . The British statement repeated previously released figures that the AUKUS submarine programme would lead to the creation of 21,000 UK jobs. Live Events It said the submarine programme was expected to be worth "up to" 20 billion pounds (US$27 billion) in British exports over the next 25 years. Under the 2021 AUKUS deal, Australia would acquire at least three Virginia-class submarines from the United States within 15 years, eventually manufacturing its own subs. The US Navy has 24 Virginia-class vessels but American shipyards are struggling to meet production targets set at two new boats each year. In the United States, critics question why Washington would sell nuclear-powered submarines to Australia without stocking its own military first. Analyst Tom Corben from the US Studies Centre in Australia said the new treaty between Canberra and London was an important show of solidarity. "The symbolism is important given everything else that is happening," he said. Britain's defence and foreign ministers were visiting Australia as their country's Carrier Strike Group and 3,000 personnel took part in annual Talisman Sabre military exercises across Australia and Papua New Guinea. "The UK-Australia relationship is like no other, and in our increasingly volatile and dangerous world, our anchoring friendship has real impact in the protection of global peace and prosperity," Lammy said.
