Chaos erupts in Paris streets after PSG victory over Arsenal

ALBAWABA - Paris recently witnessed a chaotic event after Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) fans swarmed its streets to celebrate the football team's victory against Arsenal in the Champions League. Additionally, hooded youths were also spotted clashing with riot police.
Things escalated when fans were spotted destroying public property and setting a car on fire, as clips of the incident swarmed the internet. Several social media users took to platforms such as X (formerly known as Twitter) and condemned the act, calling it "barbaric" and "disrespectful."
According to the Daily Mail, the car that drove into the crowd left at least three people injured, one seriously, after they were sent flying, but the identity of the driver was not disclosed.

The hooded youths who are being referred to as "thugs" then chased the car, set it on fire, till it was forced to stop at the side street.
Local police linked the incident to "football celebrations" and arrested more than 20 people by 2 a.m.
Several others accused migrants of the incident, but their statements are baseless, since no official news outlet disclosed the suspects' identities.
A social media user wrote, "Paris used to be the symbol of culture and power, now it's just another city lost to unchecked immigration."
Another added, "I am so glad I went 20+ years ago before it went to hell. I will never go there ever again. Almost as bad as London."

Macron condemns 'unacceptable' violence during football celebrations
French President Emmanuel Macron condemned Sunday "unacceptable" violence during celebrations following Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League final victory, as he welcomed the triumphant team to the Elysee palace. "Nothing can justify what has happened in the last few hours, the violent clashes are unacceptable," Macron said. "We will pursue, we will punish, we will be relentless," he added before congratulating the players on their win. Two people died and police made nearly 600 arrests across France overnight as fans celebrated PSG's 5-0 triumph over Inter Milan in Munich on Saturday. "The violent clashes that took place are unacceptable and have come at a heavy cost: two people are dead, around 30 police officers and several firefighters have been injured," Macron said. "My thoughts are also with the police officer in Coutances who is currently in a coma," he added, referring to the town in western France where a police officer was struck in the eye by a firework. Macron hosted PSG coach Luis Enrique and his team after their victory parade on the Champs-Elysees avenue, thanking the players for their quick condemnation of the violence.
