Emirates has issued important travel advice ahead of a peak travel period for the airline.
Between Sunday June 1 and Monday June 9, it's expected to be busy for anyone flying with Dubai's biggest airline from DXB ahead of the Eid Al Adha holiday.
Thousands of people will be flying with Emirates to make the most of the extended break in Dubai.
In a statement on the Emirates website, travellers have been urged to plan ahead to avoid delays and to arrive early at Dubai International Airport's Terminal 3.
Travellers are asked to arrive up to three hours before their flight departs and to take note of their boarding times to make sure they reach the departure gate on time.
The peak travel period comes in the lead-up to the four-day long weekend for Eid Al Adha and lasts until a day after the official holiday ends.
Travel advisory statements come during the busiest travel periods at the world's busiest international airport.

If your journey starts in the northern Emirates, then you can also check-in for your flight at Ajman Central Bus Terminal from 24 hours up to four hours before your flight.
Passengers can also check in from home, office or hotel when staying in Dubai or Sharjah, agents will pick up any luggage at least 24 hours before a flight.
Check-in can also be completed online or via the Emirates app and you can pick up a digital boarding pass.
Checking in early ensures that you avoid long queues at the airport before making it through security and also means that you can travel more hassle-free.
Anyone flying with Emirates has been advised to clear passport control and security 90 minutes before their departure time and reach their gate no later than an hour before their flight if booked in premium economy or economy class.
If you're flying in first class or business class on these dates, then you should be at the gate 45 minutes before departure.

The bus route E102 will also operate directly from Al Jafiliya Bus Station to Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi without passing through Ibn Battuta Bus Station and Musaffah. All RTA Customer Happiness Centres will be closed throughout the Eid Al Adha holiday. However, Smart Customer Happiness Centres at Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, and the RTA Head Office will operate, 24/7 as usual. Hala Taxi reveals Dubai customers saved Dhs15 million on rides with Careem Plus

With more than 115 million taxi trips taken last year across the emirate, it's fair to say that taxis are in high demand in Dubai. And since so many people are taking cabs, it's worth knowing how people can save any extra Dirhams when getting around the city. E-hailing service Hala has revealed that more than Dhs15 million has been saved on trips booked through the Careem Plus subscription programme in the last four years. Hala, a joint venture between the RTA and Careem, revealed the data ahead of the busy Eid Al Adha long weekend. Data revealed by the e-hailing service found that Dhs15 million has been saved in four years on Hala rides by subscribers. Careem Plus members pay Dhs19 per month to use the service but make that money back twice over on average with monthly savings of Dhs40. Subscribers get 10 percent instant cashback on every Hala ride credited directly to their in-app wallet. (Credit: Hala) Khaled Nuseibeh, CEO of Hala, says the rider savings are part of Hala's commitment to helping people get around Dubai. He said: 'We are pleased to see such strong engagement with Careem Plus among Hala riders. 'The consistent growth in usage demonstrates that customers value the tangible savings and simplicity that the programme provides. 'As part of our commitment to supporting urban mobility in Dubai, we will continue to enhance the user experience through offerings that are accessible, practical, and genuinely rewarding.' (Credit: Dubai Taxi Company) While the data relates to Careem Plus and Hala, there are several other e-hailing apps that allow Dubai residents to make big savings compared to on-street hailing. Flying from DXB during Eid Al Adha? Top travel tips to avoid delays

As Dubai prepares for the four-day long weekend for Eid Al Adha, itineraries are being finalised all across the city. While there's no shortage of amazing things to do in Dubai during the extended break, many will use this time for a short trip away from the city. And, often, that'll mean a trip to DXB for hundreds of thousands of daily passengers. Emirates is laying on extra flights to meet regional demand and flydubai has begun its busy seasonal summer schedule early to allow people more time to explore. You may like: 6 flights under Dhs1,500 you can *still* book from Dubai during Eid Al Adha Between Sunday June 1 and Monday June 9, Emirates has issued a travel warning to passengers flying from the world's busiest international airport. There are several things you can do to avoid delays when travelling from DXB this weekend. Travel tips for DXB Take advantage of extended public transport times The roads surrounding DXB are some of the busiest and most congested in the city. To avoid getting caught up during the busy travel period, try to use the Dubai Metro Red Line to arrive at the airport early. The Dubai Metro connects directly to Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 and will operate for longer during the public holiday. Starting from Wednesday June 4, you'll have until 1am to grab a ride. Extended hours can be seen below: Wednesday June 4: 5am – 1am 5am – 1am Thursday June 5: 8am – 1am 8am – 1am Friday June 6: 5am – 1am 5am – 1am Saturday June 7: 5am – 1am Arrive early and check-in early Travellers are asked to arrive up to three hours before their flight departs and to take note of their boarding times to make sure they reach the departure gate on time. Emirates has advised passengers to pass through immigration no later than 90 minutes before departure times and to get to their gate around an hour before their flight takes off. Most airlines will allow you to check-in early online, with Emirates also offering several ways to do so in person before you get to the airport in Dubai. Get luggage picked up ahead of time (Credit: marhaba) Part of a new service provided by marhaba, part of dnata and a leading global airport hospitality brand, and DUBZ, a baggage technology and logistics company, at DXB. Passengers can now check-in from their home, hotel or office and save the hassle of queuing up to drop off luggage and pick up a boarding pass. Instead, a check-in agent will issue you with your pass and your luggage will be securely delivered to the airport. Passengers can also skip baggage claim entirely by having their luggage delivered to their doorstep within hours of landing. The new service also allows DXB travellers flexible short-term or extended baggage storage options as well as secure same-day delivery across the UAE. Get through DXB quicker using smart gates If you're arriving or departing from DXB Terminal 3, you can get through passport control in a matter of seconds using enhanced smart gates. Designed for UAE nationals, GCC nationals, UAE residents and visa-on-arrival guests with biometric passports, the gates allow you to simply look down the green light without the need to scan a document. You need to be registered to use the smart gates, but anyone who has recently arrived at DXB is likely to have been registered when they entered the immigration touchpoint. The GDRFA has a handy tool to let you know if you're eligible. Lost at DXB? Try out DXB Express Maps Navigating your way around DXB isn't easy, and that's why airport bosses introduced DXB Express Maps earlier in 2025. All you need to do is scan a QR code when you see one and you'll be given step-by-step directions to your gate and any other facilities you want to check out before boarding. Avoid delays at security To ensure a smooth ride through security, there are a few things you can do on the day to make it easier. Try to avoid wearing any metal objects, such as belts, or take them off before passing through to save yourself some time going through the gates. Liquids should be restricted to 100ml per container and removed from your hand luggage ahead of time. DXB has an extensive list of banned items that won't be accepted through the gates that you should cross-check ahead of time.
