Northrop Earnings Rise as International Sales Grow
The defense contractor on Tuesday posted a profit of $1.17 billion, or $8.15 a share, compared with $940 million, or $6.36 a share, a year earlier. The Falls Church, Va., company noted its earnings included a net after-tax benefit of $150 million, or $1.04 a share, stemming from the previously disclosed divestiture of its training services business.
