Pepeto's Tokenomics and Community Engagement Support Presale Growth
Pepeto's ongoing presale has seen steady participation, with more than $5.7 million raised and a reported community of over 100,000 supporters. According to the project team, the tokenomics model—designed to allocate supply across staking rewards, marketing, liquidity provision, and project development—has contributed to early traction and community engagement.
At its current presale stage, the token is priced at $0.000000144, with a structured pricing model that increases in subsequent stages. This approach is intended to incentivize early participation while aligning with the project's roadmap. The development of a committed community and structured allocation model are seen by the team as foundational elements supporting the project's long-term strategy

Dogecoin, XRP Lead Altcoins as Bitcoin Dominance Falls
XRP and Dogecoin led altcoins higher on Friday as Bitcoin's dominance fell to a 12-day low. The Ripple-linked token was recently changing hands around $3.29, a 7.5% jump over the past day, according to crypto data provider CoinGecko. Dogecoin meanwhile jumped 6.2% to $0.22, while Ethereum's price eclipsed the $4,000 mark for the first time since December. Bitcoin's market cap accounted for 57.8% of the crypto market on Friday, down from 61.3% a week ago, according to CoinGecko. Within the past three months, Bitcoin has accounted for as much as 65% of the $3.9 trillion crypto sector—and as little as 57.07%. With each market cycle in Bitcoin's existence, altcoins have experienced a sustained period of outperformance after asset's price peaked, often referred to as an altcoin season. That could happen again, but it likely not to the same degree, Gerry O'Shea, head of global markets insights at crypto asset manager Hashdex, told Decrypt, pointing to structural market changes as a result of exchange-traded funds in the U.S. and corporate buying. 'You have these institutional buyers that are kind of backstopping it at this point,' he said. 'That's not to suggest that we're not going to see a fair amount of volatility with Bitcoin going forward, but I do think it's going to be a lot different than what we've seen in previous cycles.' Previous altcoins seasons have been marked by speculative investments like NFTs, meme coins, or ICOs, but O'Shea said investors could gravitate with projects that put utility front and center because of regulatory progress in the U.S. and the passage of stablecoin legislation. 'Ethereum [and] Solana, the smart contract platforms that provide infrastructure for stablecoins, are obviously demonstrating utility here,' he said. 'I think that could certainly be contributing to Bitcoin's falling dominance.' On Friday, the leading cryptocurrency by market capitalization hovered around $116,000, a 0.1% increase over the past day. And its price was up 96% over the past year. In a Myriad Linea Markets prediction table, nearly two in three participants predict that Ethereum will reach $5,000 by year's end. (Disclosure: Myriad is a prediction market and engagement platform developed by Dastan, parent company of an editorially independent Decrypt.) CrediX Team Vanishes as Stability DAO Preps 'Legal Report' The Bitcoin market, in recent weeks, has proved resilient. The asset's price dipped as low as $112,000 last month, despite institutional crypto firm Galaxy Digital executing a $9 billion Bitcoin sale on behalf of a single, Satoshi-era investor. During the company's second-quarter earnings call, Galaxy CEO Mike Novogratz remarked with relief that the sale just happened to take place as Bitcoin-buying firms like Strategy, formerly MicroStrategy, were hoovering up the asset. Bitcoin's falling dominance 'may persist for a while,' but ultimately, 'the tailwinds for Bitcoin just remain incredibly strong, mostly because of the institutional adoption of the asset,' O'Shea said. XRP Leads Double Digit Altcoin Rally as Cardano, Chainlink and SUI Surge
Altcoins such as XRP, Stellar (XLM), and Chainlink (LINK) rallied on Friday as crypto markets celebrated the formal end of the SEC and Ripple Labs's appeals and much-anticipated end of the five-year legal battle. XRP rocketed 10.5% to $3.32, XLM jumped 14.6% to $0.46, and LINK surged 14.0% to $19.22 in the past 24 hours, according to CoinGecko. Altogether, the global crypto market cap has gained 1.2% in the past day, rising to $3.89 trillion. Other major altcoins followed suit, with Sui (SUI) climbing 8.1% to $3.79, Cardano (ADA) rising 7.2% to $0.79, Hyperliquid (HYPE) gaining 7.0% to $40.54, and Solana (SOL) rising 7.9% to $0.22. Ethereum (ETH) joined the rally, posting a 4.6% gain to $3,892.83, while Solana gained 3.5% to $175.37. The recent market resurgence has 85% of Myriad Market users confident that ETH will be able to surpass $4,000 before the end of the month—a steep uptick from yesterday, when 54% of users thought it would happen. (Disclosure: Myriad is a prediction market and engagement platform developed by Dastan, parent company of an editorially independent Decrypt.) The rally comes after both the SEC and Ripple filed to dismiss their respective appeals in the Second Circuit Court, with the $125 million penalty now transferring to the U.S. Treasury. The 2023 split ruling remains intact. The judge found that institutional XRP sales violated securities laws, while public exchange sales did not. SEC and Ripple End Appeals, Closing Landmark Crypto Case as XRP Soars "The crypto market saw a rapid change in sentiment driven by multiple factors, not just the end of SEC and Ripple's appeals removing a major hurdle for XRP," Illia Otychenko, Lead Analyst at told Decrypt. "Momentum primarily surged after Trump signed an executive order allowing crypto in 401(k) retirement plans," he said, noting additional catalysts including the SEC's clarification that certain liquid staking activities are not securities. The SEC's Wednesday statement confirmed that staking protocols such as Ethereum's Lido and Solana's Jito are not considered securities. The analyst noted, "this rapid change sparked local FOMO, amplified speculation on social media, and pushed the Fear & Greed Index back into the greed zone." SEC Exempts Liquid Stakers Like Ethereum's Lido, Solana's Jito From Securities Laws Mal Zane, Regional Director at crypto exchange CoinEx, told Decrypt about XRP's technical breakout potential, saying "a breakout above $3.33 could pave the way toward $3.65 in the coming days." "If positive news flow and liquidity inflows persist, medium-term targets are estimated at $5.00–$5.50 over a 1–1.5-month horizon," Zane added. 'A break of $3.10' could pause XRP's run, Zane said, with downside likely toward $2.80.

XRP price is surging again today: Here's why the cryptocurrency is up
XRP is the third-largest cryptocurrency by market cap—or the total value of all its coins—which currently stands at just over $196 billion, according to data from Yahoo Finance. For comparison, leading crypto Bitcoin has a market cap of 2.3 trillion and Ethereum, the No. 2 coin, has a market cap of $469 billion. August full moon tonight? The 'Sturgeon Moon' is coming: Here's when to see it—and what it means for the Perseid meteor shower Oprah Winfrey says highly effective leaders use the 3-sentence rule to make every meeting more productive This con is robbing seniors blind—and growing fast But over the past 24 hours, XRP has seen its price surge by more than 7.7% as of the time of this writing. Currently, XRP is valued at $3.30 per coin. But why? It likely all comes down to one big thing. SEC and Ripple agree to drop lawsuit appeals Yesterday, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Ripple Labs, a company that offers cross-border payment solutions and is also one of the largest holders of XRP, both agreed to drop legal appeals in a court battle that has lasted for years. As CoinTelegraph reports, the SEC and Ripple submitted a joint petition to the Second Circuit Appeals Court asking the judge to dismiss the cross-appeal from both parties in the ongoing suit. As previously noted by Reuters, the two entities have been locked in a legal dispute, with the SEC alleging that Ripple had violated securities laws by selling XRP. In 2023, a judge ruled that Ripple's sale of XRP on public exchanges was legal, but that its sales of the coins to institutional investors were not. Now that the lawsuit has been settled, CoinTelegraph points out, the ruling from the 2023 judgment stands: Ripple will pay a $125 million fine to the SEC, well below the $2 billion the agency sought. Announcing the joint filings for dismissal, Ripple's chief legal officer, Stuart Alderoty, wrote in a post on X, 'The end . . . and now back to business.' In other words, the matter appears to be fully settled, and now Ripple can put its focus back on its business interests, which includes a stablecoin platform it just purchased for $200 million. A spokesperson for Ripple referred Fast Company to Alderoty's tweet. The SEC declined to comment beyond its public filing. With the threat of an ongoing lawsuit apparently out of the way—which could have deemed XRP a security, and thus open it to more regulatory oversight—XRP is up significantly in early trading on Friday. XRP's wild summer XRP has seen volatility over the last several weeks. On July 8, the coin was hovering between the $2.29 and $2.42 range, according to Yahoo Finance data. By July 20, it surged to close at over $3.55. But by the beginning of August, it fell to below $2.75 again. But now with the news of the settlement being digested by investors, XRP is up 7.7% to $3.30 per coin. Today's surge is further representative of a good run for the digital asset over the past year. Since the beginning of 2025, XRP is up more than 59%. And over the past 12 months, the coin is up more than a staggering 438%.
