A chilling twist has emerged in the targeted shooting of two Minnesota lawmakers, as police revealed they discovered a manifesto inside a fake police SUV used by the suspect, a document that named multiple elected officials, including the victims.
Brooklyn Park police chief Mark Bruley said Saturday that during a search of the lookalike squad vehicle, investigators found handwritten notes detailing names of lawmakers and public officials, AP reported. 'When we did a search of the vehicle, there was a manifesto that identified many lawmakers and other officials,' Bruley said. 'We immediately made alerts to the state and provided security where necessary.
'
The shootings, which left former Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband dead, and Sen. John Hoffman and his wife seriously wounded, have shaken the state's political leadership. Both lawmakers were named in the writings, authorities confirmed.
The gunman, who has not yet been identified, impersonated a police officer, using a replica SUV with emergency lights, and wore a uniform designed to look official.

Bruley said the suspect fled after exchanging gunfire with officers at Hortman's home.
'This suspect exploited the trust of our uniforms. That betrayal is deeply disturbing,' said Public Safety Commissioner Bob Jacobson.
Governor Tim Walz called the killings a 'politically motivated assassination,' urging the public to reject political violence. 'We must all, in Minnesota and across the country, stand against all forms of political violence,' Walz said.
'Those responsible will be held accountable.'
Hortman, a Democratic lawmaker first elected in 2004, was one of the state's most powerful political figures. Hoffman, who was shot multiple times, has served in the state Senate since 2012. Both were with their spouses when the attacks occurred in their respective homes.
A shelter-in-place order was issued Saturday morning as the manhunt continued. Authorities say autopsies are underway, and the FBI has joined the investigation at the request of the White House.
US President Donald Trump weighed in from Washington, calling the incident a 'terrible shooting.' In a statement, he said: 'Such horrific violence will not be tolerated in the United States of America. God bless the great people of Minnesota, a truly great place!'
The discovery of the writings suggests that the killings were part of a broader, premeditated plan. Officials have not released details on how many people were named in the document or whether further attacks were imminent.
Gabrielle Giffords, the former congresswoman who survived a similar attack in 2011, said in a statement, 'An attack against lawmakers is an attack on American democracy itself.' Her organization, GIFFORDS, called on leaders to condemn the violent extremism that continues to endanger public servants.
As of late Saturday, the suspect remained at large. Authorities have not ruled out the possibility of accomplices.

Officials suspect that similar digital fraud hubs may be operating in other remote areas of the state under the guise of legitimate ventures. Lost gold chain recovered from train's bio-toilet
Mysuru: A woman passenger's lost gold chain was recovered inside the bio-toilet tank of a train in the city. On June 9, a complaint was received through Rail Madad from Sangavi, a passenger who travelled on Train No. 16231 (Tiruchchirappalli–KSR Bengaluru) the previous day. The passenger reported that her gold chain was lost after a visit to the restroom, suspecting that it might have accidentally fallen into the toilet. The complaint was registered under the category of Lost Property. Following the journey, the said coach was detached at Mysuru during its primary maintenance schedule. In one of the guarantee schemes, the Yuva Nidhi scheme, the state's youth are being deceived, he said.
