WWE NXT Ends With Cryptic ‘WWE Transmission' Teaser For NXT Vengeance Day
The January 28th episode of WWE NXT ended with a cryptic tease for NXT Vengeance Day.
In the main event of Tuesday's show, Bianca Belair and Naomi defeated Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson to retain the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship. The broadcast was interrupted by what appeared to be a test card, and it read, 'WWE transmission'. The text 'NXT Vengeance Day' then appeared in the teaser, so it seems like some kind of surprise is in store for the premium live event.

Pat McAfee spars with soccer announcer after missing semifinal of $1 million tournament
Pat McAfee doesn't even have to be somewhere to end up in the middle of a controversy. While broadcasting a seven-on-seven soccer tournament, TST announcers Sebastian Salazar and Herculez Gomez called out McAfee for not being present as the team he owns, the CONCAFA Soccer Club, played a semifinal game where the winner of the final would win $1 million. 'Hold on, we're hyping up Pat McAfee and he's not even here?' Salazar said after the duo mistakenly thought McAfee was in attendance. 'You've got to be here, your team is playing for a million bucks tomorrow. Production, what are you telling me he's got going on? WWE. You know anything about that Herc?' The event featured the shocking return of R-Truth, who attacked John Cena in the main event and cost Cena and Logan Paul their tag team match against Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso. The Pumas team was unbelievable.. good luck to them in the finals tomorrow.' Salazar, who works for ESPN part-time, didn't take the back and forth with McAfee lightly. Vince McMahon Sells $250 Million of TKO Shares to Endeavor Group Holdings
Vince McMahon has sold a big tranche of his stock in TKO Group to Endeavor Group Holdings, the majority shareholder of the parent company of WWE and UFC. On June 3, 2025, Endeavor Group Holdings — now a privately held company that is the parent company of WME Group — entered into an agreement to purchase 1.579 million shares of TKO's Class A common stock from McMahon in a private transaction at a per-share price of $158.32 for aggregate consideration of approximately $250 million, according to an SEC filing Wednesday. The transaction closed on June 4, according to the filing. McMahon is the former CEO of WWE who sold the wrestling entertainment company to Endeavor in 2023 to form TKO. Endeavor was taken private earlier this year in a $25 billion deal with private-equity firm Silver Lake. As of April 15, 2025, McMahon owned about 8 million TKO shares, representing a 9.8% economic stake in the company and voting power of 4.1%, according to TKO's most recent 10-K. With the latest stock sale, McMahon has now sold more than $2 billion worth of TKO shares to date. That included his stock sales to TKO and Endeavor worth $311.2 million in April 2024. McMahon had joined the board of TKO Group but resigned as a director in January 2024 in the wake of sexual assault and sex trafficking allegations against him by a former WWE employee as detailed in a civil lawsuit. McMahon has strongly denied the allegations. WWE-AAA Crossover Worlds Collide Becomes Company's Most-Watched Live YouTube Broadcast Ever (EXCLUSIVE)
WWEtoday announced that Worlds Collide, its first joint Premium Live Event (PLE) with the recently-acquired Mexican promotion AAA, set a record for the largest live audience in company history for a YouTube broadcast. The event peaked at 764,389 live concurrent viewers across the WWE and WWE Espańol YouTube channels during the main event between AAA Mega Champion El Hijo del Vikingo and WWE superstar Chad Gable. Still available to watch for free on YouTube, the show, which received rave reviews from fans of both companies as well as journalists from around the world, Saturday's broadcast has been watched by more than 4.1 million viewers on YouTube in the first 24 hours. On X, #WorldsCollide was the No. 1 trending topic globally on Saturday, and WWE generated more than 32 million social views across all platforms in the first 24 hours. The evening's main event between El Hijo del Vikingo and Chad Gable was another standout and for many ranks among the best matches WWE has produced this year.
