Narco trail: Actor held, stash found with other suspect
Chennai: Actor Krishna, who was picked up for inquiry on Wednesday in connection with a cocaine case, was formally arrested on Thursday. Actor Srikanth and several others have already been arrested. The latest arrest comes as investigators widened their probe into a drug distribution network, uncovered following a clash at a Nungambakkam pub on May 22. Krishna, who began his acting career as a child artist in Manirathnam's Anjali, has acted in 23 Tamil films. During inquiry, Krishna revealed details concerning key suspects, including sacked AIADMK functionary Prasad and a Ghana national, John. Police have also recovered deleted conversations among Krishna, Prasad, and Kevin alias Jesveer. These exchanges and accompanying bank transaction records indicated the flow of money and coordination among the group, officials said.
