'Biden executed and replaced' Trump's mysterious post leaves everyone guessing

Time of India2 days ago

Former President
Donald Trump
fueled controversy on Saturday night by posting a conspiracy theory on his
Truth Social
website, claiming that President
Joe Biden
had been assassinated in 2020 and substituted with a clone or robot. The action, which was roundly condemned, is the latest example of Trump promoting unsubstantiated claims to his millions of followers.
Around 10 p.m. on Saturday, Trump reposted a tweet from an anonymous account that stated, "There is no #JoeBiden—executed in 2020. #Biden clones doubles & robotic engineered soulless mindless entities are what you see. >#Democrats don't know the difference". The original tweet was written by a user with a fairly modest following, but Trump's re-tweet put it in front of almost 10 million individuals. The
White House
did not have an immediate comment about Trump's motives or whether he actually believes the allegation.
Trump's sharing of the post is consistent with a pattern of spreading conspiracy theories and misinformation. Throughout his career, he has consistently posted claims about him winning the 2020 elections, the birthplace of former President
Barack Obama
, and other disproven narratives. His most recent post has been roundly criticized by political observers and fact-checkers, who observe that such posts erode public confidence and provoke discord.
Critics were quick to identify the absurdity of the allegation.'If Biden had said something like this, his entire cabinet would have invoked the
25th
within the hour,' one Twitter user wrote, citing the constitutional provision for removing a president from office due to inability to serve. Others called Trump's behavior a "degradation of America" and were worried about the mainstreaming of conspiracy theories in political rhetoric.
No evidence confirms Biden was executed or replaced, and
human cloning
is still a scientific impossibility. The two presidents have been seen together in public and debated one another on numerous occasions since 2020. As of now, neither Trump nor his representatives have explained why he decided to share the post, and the White House has declined to comment further.

He explained that the Democrats ran a bad campaign that didn't connect with working-class people. Sanders said Donald Trump was beatable, but the Democrats failed to talk about the real problems people face, as per personally traveled around the U.S. to help Kamala win and begged the campaign to focus on working-class issues. He wanted the campaign to talk about raising the minimum wage, fixing the healthcare system, building more affordable housing, and stopping greedy landlords. But the Harris campaign ignored him and instead focused on rich friends and anti-Trump Republicans, as per BBC Radio pointed out that Kamala spent too much time with Liz Cheney, a Republican, which confused working-class voters. Sanders also said it was a big mistake to use Mark Cuban, a billionaire from "Shark Tank", as a campaign supporter. He said this election should have been an easy win, but the campaign was misled by wealthy elites and bad consultants. He asked a very direct question to the Democratic Party: 'Which side are you on?', which means are you with the rich or with regular people?, according to a HuffPost a separate interview, Sanders told The Washington Post that Democrats don't do enough to actually help working-class families. He said the problem is not fighting Trump harder, but not offering a strong plan that actually helps normal Americans. Trump's DOJ investigating Joe Biden's pardons for family, death row inmates amid perceived mental competency concerns

A senior official in President Donald Trump's Justice Department has launched an investigation into clemency decisions made by former President Joe Biden in the final days of his term, focusing on whether Biden was mentally competent and if others may have taken advantage of him using tools like the Autopen. In an internal email obtained by Reuters, Ed Martin, the Justice Department's pardon attorney, revealed that the probe will examine 'whether [Biden] was competent and whether others were taking advantage of him through use of AutoPen or other means.' The autopen, a device that replicates signatures, has been a point of contention among Biden critics who allege it may indicate he wasn't personally authorising actions. The investigation centres on preemptive pardons Biden issued to five family members—including siblings James Biden, Frank Biden, and Valerie Biden Owens, along with their spouses—and clemency that spared 37 federal inmates from the death penalty. Biden had defended the family pardons, stating they were intended 'to protect them from future politically motivated investigations.' Hunter Biden, the president's son, who had pleaded guilty to tax violations and was convicted on firearms-related charges, was also pardoned by Biden on December 1. In the final hours of his presidency, Joe Biden issued pre-emptive pardons to several key personalities, including Dr. Anthony Fauci, retired General Mark Milley, and members of the House committee that investigated the January 6 Capitol attack. The pardons come as Biden seeks to protect these individuals from potential 'revenge' actions by the incoming Trump administration, which has expressed intentions to target those involved in investigations of former President Donald Trump. Trump and his allies have long questioned the validity of documents signed via autopen, a mechanical device used to replicate signatures, claiming it casts doubt on Biden's awareness of presidential actions. However, it is unclear whether Biden used the autopen for the clemency orders. A 2005 Justice Department memo determined that using an autopen for presidential signatures was legitimate when authorised by the president. Martin, who previously served as interim US attorney in Washington, was nominated for the permanent role, though the nomination was later stalled in the Senate. Despite believing in the broad scope of presidential pardon power, Martin indicated the need for further scrutiny. 'If you use the autopen for pardon power, I don't think that that's necessarily a problem,' Martin said at a press conference on May 13. Critics say the probe appears politically motivated, aiming to fuel ongoing concerns about Biden's age and cognitive abilities. These concerns intensified following Biden's withdrawal from the 2024 race after a poor debate showing and a recent cancer diagnosis. Neither the Justice Department nor the White House responded immediately to requests for comment on the investigation, Reuters said. The email from Martin did not specify who directed him to begin the probe.
