Bigg Boss OTT 2 Winner Elvish Yadav Is ‘Openly Crushing' On Alia Bhatt
Last Updated:
Elvish Yadav had once said he wanted to marry Alia Bhatt. He has long been vocal about his admiration for the actress.
From winning Bigg Boss OTT Season 2 to his stint on Roadies XX, Siddharth ' Elvish" Yadav is undoubtedly ruling over the hearts of millions. If that wasn't enough, he also runs two successful YouTube channels—his daily vlog, which he started in 2016 and Elvish Yadav Gaming, launched in 2023. Elvish has always been candid about all aspects of his life, and this includes his huge crush on Alia Bhatt. Yes, you heard that right. In a recent interview, Elvish once again openly spoke about his admiration for Alia.
When asked about his feelings for the actress, he told TOI, 'I've been openly crushing on Alia Bhatt. I like her."
This isn't the first time the YouTuber has spoken about his feelings for Alia Bhatt. Earlier this year, during a podcast with Pratik Sehajpal, Elvish once again expressed his admiration for the Gangubai Kathiawadi star. When Pratik said, 'Mujhe Alia Bhatt achchi lagti hai, woh ek achchi actor hai (I like Alia Bhatt, she is a good actor)."
Elvish immediately responded, 'Mujhe bhi bhai, ab toh shaadi hogayi, bachcha bhi hogaya (Even me a brother, but now she is married and has a kid)."
Pratik replied, 'Usse kya farak padhta hai bhaiya? Hame kaunsa usse shaadi karni thi. Woh toh actress achchi hai (What difference does it make? It's not like we wanted to marry her. I am just saying she is a good actress)."
Elvish had a response ready. 'Mujhe toh karni thi (shaadi), par ab uski hogayi. Kyu ched diya humne yeh topic? Sorry, Ranbir Bhai. (I wanted to tie the knot with her, but now she is married. Why did we take this topic? Sorry, Ranbir.)"
Moving on to his stint on Roadies XX, Elvish opened up about his experience as a first-time gang leader.
Elvish shared, 'My journey as a gang leader on Roadies XX was amazing. Initially, I didn't know what to do or how to play, but my fellow gang leaders helped me, and I learnt a lot from them. I came on the show only for the love audience and didn't expect to win. However, now that I've won, it feels amazing."
Speaking about Kushal Tanwar aka Gullu from his team, who won Roadies XX, Elvish said,'Gullu didn't get many chances on the show. He was evicted once and later came back as a wildcard entry. But he gave his best whenever he got an opportunity. I truly believe he's a deserving winner."
Elvish has also been making headlines for his appearance on Laughter Chef 2. According to reports, the show may go off-air by mid-July, although there is no official confirmation yet.

Anti-plastic drive faces hurdles in city
Ranchi: The fight against plastic pollution in Ranchi has many challenges. Despite appeals and regulations imposed against plastic usage, the city's landscape is marred by plastic. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Scattered mounds of plastic packets of various food items, single-use water bottles, and carry bags across the city have become a sight of discomfort for everyone. On Thursday, the state celebrated World Environment Day based on the theme of reducing single use plastic. However, the bizarre contradiction lies in the fact that even the posters and banners put across the city advocating for reduced plastic usage are often made of 'plastic' themselves. Various govt and private functions too have been rampantly using single-use plastic water bottles across the state, leaving dumps of scattered bottles at the programme venues, contradicting the message of sustainability that the authorities claim to promote. On Friday, forest department headquarter in Doranda was riddled with plastic waste a day after environment day programme. Speaking to TOI, principal chief conservator of forests (wildlife) Shasikar Samanta acknowledged the issue and said it is difficult to stop the use of plastic water bottles. "Although the use of plastic water bottles is not banned, we must try to minimise their use. Avoiding the use of plastic has become a challenge nowadays. As far as yesterday's event is concerned, the bottles will be cleaned on the premises and sent for recycling. Workers have been employed for clearing it," he added. Pals pool in money, make an ‘oasis' of barren village on Dalma foothills
Jamshedpur: In 2019, two friends—John Junul Soy (54) and Sukumar Kumar (51) were on a pleasure trip to Katjol village, located at the foothills of Dalma sanctuary on the city outskirts around NH-33. While they were charmed by the scenic greens and the vicinity, they learnt about the water woes faced by local villagers, spotting women carrying pots on their heads from far off place. The two decided to create a water body. Six years later, the pond, which spreads over 21 bighas is not just a place for nature lovers to unwind in calmness but has also come as a boon for the inhabitants and local flora and fauna. Talking to TOI, Soy said, "The villagers were experiencing problems sourcing water for household needs, and the land remained uncultivated due to the want of any irrigation source." A resident of Jawaharnagar in Mango, Soy runs a nursery and is also an avid environment lover. His friend, Sukumar, a Sonari resident, is also a keen angler. "We began interacting with the locals without a plan. Initially, some had apprehensions but slowly we decided to do it through community participation to induce sense of ownership among all," he said, adding that Rs 75 lakh, raised through donations was invested to construct the pond. "It took four years for the pond to come up," said Kumar. He added, "The interesting aspect is that that we did not fell the six big sal and palash trees to make way for the water body. In fact, we constructed a platform around the trees so that they can stand amid the pond. It looks beautiful today." The pond holds the rainwater which flows down from the Dalma Hills during heavy rains. "The village, which houses 170 families, now has water for daily chores," he said, adding that it also opened source of income for locals through fishing. "The pond has also encouraged the villagers to cultivate crops, and animals such as monkeys and peacocks quench their thirst at the pond," said Soy. Once struggling for water, locals now have taken up poultry, pig and fish farming and planting fruit bearing trees. "The land was leased to the duo for the pond. Today, the pond has impacted the lives in a positive way," Anand Singh, gram Pradhan of Katjol village, said. Kochi corporation plans to entrust abattoir project at Kaloor to new agency due to delays
Kochi: With Impact Kerala, the agency entrusted with the construction of a modern slaughterhouse in Kaloor, failing to start the project, Kochi corporation is exploring alternatives to set up the facility. The corporation authorities have started talks with a Kolkata-based firm to set up the abattoir. Though the project was designed more than a decade ago, the work was entrusted to Impact Kerala and the agency was sitting on the project for the past two years. "The Impact Kerala authorities are not responding to our queries. Recently, they informed us about roping in a contractor to start the work. When we asked them to brief us about the project, they failed to do so," said corporation health standing committee chairman T K Asharaf. Though TOI contacted Impact Kerala officials regarding the progress of the project, they didn't respond. "We will be able to take a final decision on the project only if the agency makes a presentation. If they fail to give the details, we are planning to rope in another agency. We have already held talks with a Kolkata-based firm. If Impact Kerala is ready to continue with the project at Kaloor, we can entrust the work on an abattoir at Marakkadavu in Mattancherry to the Kolkata-based firm," Asharaf said. The condition of the existing abattoir owned by the corporation at Kaloor continues to be pathetic. The pollution control board (PCB) ordered the closure of the slaughterhouse citing shortcomings in treating the waste generated while culling the animals. The corporation authorities were forced to close down the facility on Sept 26, 2022. Following the corporation's request to run the existing abattoir for six more months to facilitate the local body to construct a new one, PCB granted the nod for operating the slaughterhouse on a temporary basis.
