How to get Netflix free for two years ahead of Stranger Things season 5 release

We have found a way to watch every Stranger Things episode and more for free. Stranger Things fans will currently be feeling a mixture of excitement and sorrow as the trailer for the final season of the spine tinglingly Netflix show has been released. With the last ever episodes of one of the streaming service's most watched series hitting our screens later this year, many of us will want to go back to start to fully prepare. As the countdown begins to the explosive finale, we have found a way that fans of the series will be able to watch all five seasons without having to fork out on a Netflix subscription. This means viewers can curl up on the couch and travel to 1980s Hawkins without having to worry about an extra monthly fee. Sky is currently offering its customers free access to Netflix when they purchase one of their TV package deals. The cheapest deal - Essential TV bundle - starts at £15 per month and gives shoppers access to 100 channels, plus Sky Atlantic, Netflix and Discovery+ in one simple subscription. With this deal, shoppers will have free access to popular shows such as Bridgerton, Stranger Things and Squid Games without having to pay extra on top of their deal. The Netflix Standard with Ads package is included in this 24 month deal, which would normally cost customers £5.99 a month through the streaming service. For added ease, Sky is also letting those who already have an existing subscription with Netflix to keep the same account, meaning they won't end up paying twice the amount, reports the Mirror. Additionally, shoppers have the option of upgrading the Netflix package, but this does come with an added cost. To bump up to Netflix Standard, customers will need to add £6 on to their monthly bill, meanwhile Premium viewers will need to pay £11. However, it should be noted that Sky usually increases its subscription prices every April, so shoppers should expect to pay more for their TV package this time next year. This year, Sky increased the prices by 6.2 per cent, which will most likely be a similar case in April 2026. Alternatively, Virgin Media is also throwing in a free Netflix subscription with some of its TV packages, however they are a bit more on the pricier side than Sky's deals. The lowest priced deal is on the Biggest Combo bundle, which is currently down from £78.99 a month to £64.99. This deal includes more than 200 TV channels, Sky Cinema, Sky Sports and 516Mbps broadband. As Stranger Things has had viewers on tenterhooks for almost a decade, Netflix is spacing out its highly anticipated final season to keep viewers on the edge of their seats one last time. Episodes one to four of season five will premiere on November 27, with volume two (episodes five to seven) coming out on Boxing Day. Loyal fans will then start 2026 with the grande finale, which is set to release on New Year's Day. Despite being more than three years on from the release of season four, Stranger Things still has a huge cult following as it is the third most-watched Netflix series of all time. The premise of the final season, which is set in autumn 1987, comes with a simple goal - to find and kill Vecna. However, the synopsis reads: "But he has vanished – his whereabouts and plans unknown." It continues: "Complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding. "As the anniversary of Will's disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread. The final battle is looming – and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they've faced before. To end this nightmare, they'll need everyone standing together, one last time." After the release of the trailer, many fans took to social media to express their excitement. One person wrote on X: "Oh my god, it looks so good. I can't wait." While another fan said: "Can't believe it's coming to end. Ready but not ready." However, some fans were a bit miffed about the extremely long wait between seasons, as one person wrote: "I'm going to watch this, but I'll never again watch a series that takes so long between seasons. It's ridiculous." On the flip side, a fourth fan took a more positive view: "I was wrong Stranger Things looks like it was worth the three year wait. I apologise." Among the returning cast is Millie Bobby Brown, Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery and Maya Hawke. Joining them is Terminator star Linda Hamilton as Dr. Kay. To get Netflix for free for two years through Sky, click HERE. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Breaking Bad fans discover little-known secret about Mike's iconic role

A fan favourite character from the hit show Breaking Bad was written to cover for a cast member's absence. The Bryan Cranston-starring show was lauded by critics and the public on its release and is now regarded as one of the best shows in history. The series also featured Bob Odenkirk, Aaron Paul, and Jonathan Banks. Banks, who plays fan favourite Mike Ehrmantraut in both Breaking Bad and the prequel series, Better Call Saul, was brought in for the show's second series, and was never meant to be a main cast member. But the fans loved his work so much during another character's absence that the decision was made to keep him on. Other cast members were also meant to depart the show earlier than expected. Aaron Paul, who portrays Jesse Pinkman in all series and the sequel Netflix movie, was set to leave Breaking Bad after its first series. He was kept on, however, after a series of rewrites. Revisions were also made to cover for Odenkirk's absence, with his lowlife lawyer character, Saul Goodman, absent for a few episodes. In his place, Banks filled in as the enforcer Ehrmantraut, because Odenkirk had obligations to film a different series. His recurring role on How I Met Your Mother clashed with Breaking Bad's shooting schedule. A character was then needed to cover for Odenkirk's absence, and led to the writing of the Mike Ehrmantraut character. A Better Call Saul fan account posted the fact to X, which has since been verified by writers from the show. The post reads: "Writers for Breaking Bad created Mike Ehrmantraut as a substitute for Saul Goodman when Bob Odenkirk was unavailable because of a commitment to appear in How I Met Your Mother." Odenkirk was unavailable for the season two finale episode, and thus a replacement character was brought in. Fans were delighted to realise the origins of Ehrmantraut come from the absence of another beloved character. One user wrote: "IMO, the most interesting character on BB or BCS. I wish there was a series to take us from Mike the policeman to Mike the fixer." Another added: "I love characters who were meant to be one offs due to outstanding circumstances become the fan favourites." A third wrote: "It's funny how such a small twist of fate could have prevented us from seeing what is, in my opinion, one of the greatest characters in TV history." Other fans of the show have praised the unexpected stand-in, and the legendary character it led to. One user wrote: "Best piece of lore I have read in a long time." Another added: "It's probably the best story that came out after the show finished." A third shared: "After that infamous finale, this is literally the only good thing that HIMYM did. Mike Ehrmantraut is one of the best characters in all of television."

Coronation Street legend makes shock return as Aadi Alahan's exit storyline begins with dramatic robbery

A CORONATION Street legend has made a shock return tonight - just in time for his on-screen son's exit. The beloved character suddenly disappeared six months ago in a shock exit plot that saw him leave his partner and children behind. 2 2 But now businessman Dev Alahan has returned from his visit to India - and walked into a storm. Actor Jimmi Harkishin appeared on screen as Dev as he reunited with Bernie and son Aadi - just as the pair were trying to plan what to do about Aadi's insurance scam. Last month Aadi accidentally spiked Lauren Bolton with drugs that led to her suffering horrifying hallucinations of Joel. And things have only got worse as Aadi also set up a fake robbery with Brody Michaelis. As a masked Brody rushed out into the street, a passing Lisa Swain froze and Carla was puzzled by her lack of action. Later Aadi told Asha how the lad threatened him with a wrench and forced him to empty the safe. Asha assures him it's not his fault and he's the victim of a crime and encouraged him to report it. Aadi told PC Jess what happened claiming the robber made off with £6k in cash. But when Bernie clocked his shifty demeanour, it didn't take her long to crack him and discover the truth about the insurance plot. But as she quizzes Aadi about whether he's up for the full scam and all the lying it entails, they were interrupted by Dev's return. His comeback is just in time as Aadi actor Adam Hussein is set to leave the soap this summer. The Sun revealed the star had quit earlier this year after five years on screen.
