On Monday, Hey Neighbour Festival made a double announcement: this year's edition will be two days instead of the initial three days.
'We're switching from a three-day festival to two jam-packed days,' read the brief statement on Monday.
This means the festival will now take place over the weekend of August 30th and 31st, removing Friday, which was initially the first day of the event.
'All ticket holders have been emailed with options on how to proceed,' expressed the statement on Hey Neighbour social media platforms.
Hey Neighbour is a music festival organised by Glen 21 Entertainment.
The festival first took place in 2023, with Kendrick Lamar headlining the second day. Singer-songwriter Khalid performed on the first day, and US singer H.E.R. closed the festival on Sunday, the final day.
Without any communication, the festival wasn't hosted in 2024.
The festival announced its 2025 return at the end of 2024, where organisers also released the first batch of tickets. Before the year ended, the festival shared that the tickets had already sold out.

Leon Thomas
The festival also announced that R&B singer Leon Thomas would perform on its second day.
In March, Hey Neighbour announced Doja Cat as the headline act for the second instalment. She will perform on Saturday, Day 1 of the event.
This will be Doja Cat's first time performing in South Africa, and the refrain about her coming home is because her biological father, an actor, Dumisani Dlamini, is from the country.
Doja has previously spoken about visiting South Africa, suggesting that the country is too far for her.
'I still haven't [been]. I rely on my career to just throw me out to places. I don't find pockets of time in my life. I can fly, but I don't like flying, especially long flights like that,' said Doja Cat in an interview with US broadcaster Ebro Darden on his Apple Music 1 show in 2024.

Nonku Williams leaves 'The Real Housewives of Durban'
In a shocking and unexpected announcement, Nonku Williams, the longest-serving housewife in Africa, has exited ' The Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD) .' The reality star rose to fame through the show after joining its first season, quickly becoming a household name with a loyal fan base. After entertaining fans for five seasons on the Showmax hit The Real Housewives of Durban, Nonku Williams has officially left the show. She announced her exit in an emotional and detailed post on her Instagram account. The reality star shared that she is stepping away from the franchise to prioritise her mental health, well-being, and personal growth. She also revealed that she won't be attending the reunion, disappointing many viewers who were expecting her to show up. They wanted her to take accountability for her actions this season and address questions about her character. Nonku has stirred controversy this season, with many viewers expressing disappointment in her behaviour. While some still believe she's reality TV gold, bringing the sass and drama that helped make the show a success, it seems she didn't win many hearts this time. The mother of two revealed that after watching herself on TV, she has realised that the woman she sees is not someone she recognises or respects. 'After much reflection, I've made the difficult decision not to return to the show and to distance myself from the reunion. It's not an easy choice, but it's one I must make. Watching myself on screen, I'm confronted with a reality that's hard to accept. The woman I see isn't someone I recognise or respect.' Reflecting on her journey with the show, she shared that the toxic cycle of women being pitted against each other, constant negativity, conflict, and drama no longer aligns with who she wants to be. She said it's time to choose peace and personal growth. 'I've played a role in shaping this narrative, but I'm also a product of the show's dynamics. The relentless pursuit of drama, the pitting of women against each other, the gossip, and the put-downs – it's a toxic cycle that wears me down,' she wrote. Nonku further opened up about her decision to walk away from the show, sharing: 'As I look to the future, I'm reminded of my responsibilities – to myself, my children, my faith, and the community. I want to make a difference, to leave a positive mark on the world. But this show, with its destructive tendencies, isn't the platform for that. I've come to realise that I have a responsibility to myself to prioritise my well-being, to protect my mental health, and to surround myself with positivity.' She further said that she chooses this to be a better role model for her kids and to positively impact her community. 'To those who've supported me throughout this journey, I'm grateful. I acknowledge my part in the chaos, but I also recognise the show's role in shaping our narratives. I'm choosing to break free from this cycle, to seek a path that uplifts and inspires. She further said, 'I'm choosing to use my platform to spread love, kindness, and positivity. I'm choosing to be a role model for my children and for others who may be watching. I'm choosing to prioritise my well-being and to take care of myself,' she said. ARE YOU GOING TO MISS NONKU ON RHODURBAN? Let us know by leaving a comment below, or send a WhatsApp to 060 011 021 1 . Rachel Kolisi vs Enhle Mbali: South Africans pick sides over 'divorce drama'
An Instagram post by Rachel Kolisi, the former wife of Springbok captain Siya Kolisi, has had many social media users comparing her to Enhle Mbali, who similarly went through a high-profile divorce from her ex, DJ Black Coffee. Both women have been outspoken about their marriage splits and navigating the way forward as single moms. However, they've received different reactions from the public. Rachel announced her split from Siya last October after eight years of marriage. Enhle and Black Coffee – real name Nkosinathi Maphumalo – called time on their nuptials in 2019 after tying the knot in a traditional wedding ceremony in 2011. Both women have two children with their exes. Like actress Enhle Mbali, Rachel Kolisi has been subjected to social media commentary about what led to their marriage split from their successful husbands. Rachel's recent Instagram post about being forced to drive an older car, a Toyota Yaris, had many South Africans wondering if it had anything to do with Siya Kolisi and their divorce settlement. But while many have sypathised with the former Springbok WAG, others have called out the double standards of treatment towards Enhle Mbali. Enhle – who publicly accused her ex of cheating, being physically, verbally, and financially abusive – was unfairly branded a 'liar', a 'gold-digger', and an 'opportunist'. The actress was also criticised for demanding a hefty sum in child support and spousal maintenance. Here's a look at the mixed views from social media users about Rachel Kolisi vs Enhle Mbali divorce saga… @Puse_Maseko: 'Rachel must get a C-Class, but Enhle must be left in a house with no electricity?' @trashdube: 'Rachel did a lot for black people, changed many lives. Your Enhle? It was all about Dubai and designer clothes'. @itsjustcebo: 'Rachel can be calm because she didnt go through what Enhle did. Black women are always treated the worst, then labelled as bitter'. @Lech67719389: 'Rachel Kolisi went the amicable solution route and kept it clean. Enhle Mbali made it a public spectacle and tried to milk sympathy.' @kokiiniezer1: 'Everyone feeling sorry for Rachel Kolisi but couldn't afford Enhle the same grace'. While their circumstances differ, both Enhle Mbali and Rachel Kolisi have spoken about their partners being away from home for extended periods due to their high-profile jobs. While Rachel has hinted that Siya may have cheated on her during their marriage, Enhle has publicly accused her ex of being unfaithful. Speaking to 702's Relebogile Mabotja recently, she said: 'I'm proud of how I handled my marriage. I never cheated, not once, until the day I decided to leave because I could no longer take the punishment to myself. 'It's multi-layered. But my non-negotiable was children in a marriage. Once there were two children by two different women, I said, 'You don't love me. In fact, you're going to kill me. 'I lost a lot of respect for my partner. I forgave him for the apologies I never got, I forgave myself.' During their marriage, Black Coffee reportedly fathered multiple children with different women. He has never confirmed or denied the news. Let us know by leaving a comment below, or send a WhatsApp to 060 011 021 1 .
