Isle of Wight Festival 2025: 12 stages and theme announced
The Isle of Wight Festival 2025 has announced 12 stages and its theme.
The festival, due to take place in Seaclose Park between Thursday, June 19 and Sunday, June 22, will see acts grace Cirque de la Quirk, Electro Love, Hipshaker, Kashmir Cafe, Down by the River, Octopus' Garden, Platform One, River stage, Steelers Wheel, This Feeling, The Intoxicated Tea Rooms and the Kidzone.
The festival's theme will be neon jungle, with ticketholders encouraged to don glowsticks and fluorescent clothes.
Miss Molly McQueen will hold a competition for the best outfit at 3pm on Saturday, June 21, in Cirque de la Quirk.

The winner will get an exclusive backstage Champagne picnic.
Meanwhile, the line-up for the Main Stage and Big Top has been completed, with Sting, Stereophonics and Justin Timberlake set to top the bill.
Faithless, The Script, Jess Glynne, Clean Bandit, Supergrass, Example, The Corrs, Busted, Amy Macdonald, Ella Eyre, James, Paul Heaton, and Texas are already announced to perform across the weekend.
The line-up also includes Olly Murs, Alison Moyet, Dean Lewis, Lottery Winners, Lightning Seeds, The Lathums, The Pigeon Detectives, The Saw Doctors, Bjorn Again, Crystal Tides and The Smyths.
Razorlight, Midge Ure, English Teacher, Yard Act, Remember Monday, Pale Waves, Twin Atlantic, Alessi Rose, Amble, Nieve Ella, Arthur Hill, Matilda Mann, Rhythm of the 90s, and Emmanuel Kelly completed the lineup for the two stages last month (March).
Sky will be the headline sponsor of the event, in the company's first venture into festival partnership.
Sky Arts has broadcast the festival since 2011.
Caroline Giddings, festival director, said: "We're thrilled to have Sky on board as our headline partner.
"The brand has had a presence at the festival for more than a decade, thanks to our Sky Arts broadcast partnership, and we're excited to develop that relationship and further enhance the Isle of Wight Festival experience for our customers. "

Hollywood's biggest studio to split as viewers switch off traditional TV
Warner Bros Discovery is splitting in two just three years after it was formed in a $43bn (£32bn) mega-merger, as viewers switch off from traditional TV. The Hollywood media giant has announced plans to break off its streaming and studios businesses from its traditional TV networks, which include CNN and Discovery. Bosses said the move would unlock value for shareholders and create new opportunities for growth at both businesses, including potential mergers with other legacy TV channels. The break-up, which will create a bonanza of fees for bankers and lawyers, underscores efforts by US media giants to separate their rapidly growing streaming divisions from their declining traditional TV networks. Comcast, the US owner of Sky, recently announced plans to split its cable networks, which include MSNBC and CNBC, from its streaming and studios businesses. Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) was formed in 2022 through a merger between Warner Media and Discovery with the aim of creating a major media powerhouse for the streaming age. But shares have slumped almost 60pc since then, amid tough competition and as cable viewers continue to switch off. Investors have also baulked at WBD's huge debt pile, which stood at $38bn at the end of March. David Zaslav, the chief executive of WBD, said: 'The cultural significance of this great company and the impactful stories it has brought to life for more than a century have touched countless people all over the world. 'It's a treasured legacy we will proudly continue in this next chapter of our celebrated history. 'By operating as two distinct and optimised companies in the future, we are empowering these iconic brands with the sharper focus and strategic flexibility they need to compete most effectively in today's evolving media landscape.' The split will create a new streaming and studios arm housing the Warner Bros film and TV production groups – DC Studios, HBO and HBO Max – and the group's studio spaces in Leavesden and California. The other division, called Global Networks, will encompass WBD's traditional TV brands around the world. Mr Zaslav will lead the streaming and studios division, while Gunnar Wiedenfels, the current chief financial officer, will head Global Networks. Both executives will remain in their present roles until the separation, which is expected to be completed by the middle of next year. The move is not expected to have a major impact on the UK, where WBD is preparing to launch its HBO Max streaming service early next year. Subscribers will be able to watch high-end US dramas such as House of the Dragon, White Lotus and Succession. The launch marks a setback to Sky, which previously held exclusive rights to show HBO programming in the UK. While HBO Max will be bundled into Sky at no extra cost, meaning viewers will still have access to these shows, the deal will no longer be exclusive. In a further challenge to Sky, HBO Max will also be home to sports programming from TNT Sports. WBD is currently in discussions to take full ownership of TNT by buying BT's 50pc stake in the joint venture. WBD said the majority of its debt will be spun off into the networks division. The company plans to restructure its debt using a $17.5bn loan from JP Morgan, which will be refinanced prior to the separation. The Global Networks division will also take a 20pc stake in the streaming and studios business, which it will gradually sell off to help pay down debt. Allie Quigley retires more than 2 years after her final Sky game: ‘Finally and officially say goodbye'
CHICAGO — Allie Quigley never meant to end her career with an Irish goodbye. The longtime Chicago Sky star jokingly acknowledged her quiet exit in a Players Tribune column on Tuesday as she formally announced her retirement from the WNBA — nearly three years after playing her final game for the Sky in September 2022. Quigley left the game as one of the sharpest shooters in the history of women's basketball, winning four 3-point contests at WNBA All-Star weekend. She remains the Sky's leading 3-point scorer after making 504 baskets behind the arc while shooting 39.5% across her career with the franchise. For a decade, the Sky were defined by one dynamic partnership: Quigley and her wife, Courtney Vandersloot. The pair of guards shared a car on the way from the airport to Sky training camp in 2013, an introduction that sparked one of the strongest connections in the WNBA on and off the court. Over the next decade, the pair married, recruited top talent to Chicago and established a legacy as they led the Sky to their first-ever WNBA title. Playing for the Sky always meant something more for Quigley, who grew up in Joliet and played four years at DePaul. That commitment to her hometown team was a foundational piece of the Sky's success throughout otherwise challenging seasons that defined the first half of her career. 'The main thing was that people wanted to play the style that we play,' Quigley told the Tribune in 2022. 'It wasn't 'Oh, I want to come to Chicago for their gym or to live in the city.' They want to play our style of basketball and that superseded everything. That's something we definitely take pride in.' Quigley initially felt ready to retire after winning the title in 2021, but she decided to play one final season. After quietly stepping away from the game in 2022, she turned her focus to her next priority: having a baby. Although the couple had been ready to start a family after their wedding in 2018, Quigley wrote that they felt inhibited by the grueling cycle of playing overseas in the offseason and the respective arcs of their careers with the Sky. But Quigley was still hopeful that if her first pregnancy was quick and successful, she might be able to return and play one more year. The process took longer than expected. Two more WNBA seasons stretched past. And Quigley wrote that the birth of her daughter Jana in April confirmed her readiness to say goodbye to professional basketball for good. 'I know I speak for both myself and Courtney when I tell you that as special as the Sky winning a championship felt, and as proud of a moment as that was, bringing a baby into the world is our accomplishment we're most proud of,' Quigley wrote in The Players Tribune. 'It was the greatest day of our lives. There's nothing like it. But also, now that Jana is here, I feel ready to finally and officially say goodbye to my basketball career.' Quigley's announcement is somewhat bittersweet, coming less than 24 hours after Vandersloot suffered a season-ending ACL injury in Saturday's loss to the Indiana Fever at the United Center. Captaining the Sky once again, Vandersloot's return was key for the team's development after a tumultuous 2024 season. But the legacy forged by Vandersloot and Quigley in Chicago is untouchable. The pair will be in the franchise's history books for years — if not decades — to come as the first and second all-time leaders in points, assists and games played. Now, all that's left is another jersey to be hung in the rafters at Wintrust Arena, where Quigley is already memorialized in the DePaul Hall of Fame.
