Watch: Deku's final battle begins in 'My Hero Academia' Season 8
The trailer, released Monday, features scenes of main character Izuku Midoriya, aka Deku, clashing with the villainous Tomura Shigaraki, while Midoriya's mentor, All Might, continues the fight with nemesis All for One that began at the end of Season 7.
The upcoming Season 8 will mark the end of the series, which is based on the manga by Kohei Horikoshi.
"The story is set in a world where nearly 80 percent of the population possesses supernatural abilities known as 'Quirks,'" the official synopsis reads. "It follows the growth, struggles and friendships of high school student Izuku Midoriya and his classmates, all of whom have enrolled at U.A. High to become heroes and defend society from villains who attempt to exploit accidents, natural disasters, and Quirks for their own gain!"
Season 8 will begin in October of this year, but no specific date was revealed. My Hero Academia streams in the United States on subscription service Crunchyroll.

'General Hospital' Robert Scorpio actor Tristan Rogers dies at 79
Aug. 15 (UPI) -- Actor Tristan Rogers died Friday at age 79. ABC 7 in California confirmed with Rogers' manager, Meryl Soodak, and The Hollywood Reporter via a statement from General Hospital Executive Producer Frank Valentini. Rogers played Robert Scorpio on the soap opera since 1980. He was introduced as a spy for the fictional World Security Bureau. His most recent appearance was last year, with Scorpio now the District Attorney of Port Charles. He went public with his battle with lung cancer in July. Soodak told ABC 7 Rogers had never smoked. The Melbourne-born Rogers also appeared in The Young and the Restless, Studio City and The Bold and the Beautiful. The Icelandic singer-songwriter clapped onstage and got the audience involved during her performance, which was a part of GMA's Summer Concert Series. "Music for me, songwriting is just, it's like my journal come alive and it's the way I get feelings out. But I think for me it's also a way of getting my experiences out there and hope that people resonate to make me feel less crazy," she said when asked about basing her music on personal experiences. "From the Start" appears on Laufey's second studio album, titled Bewitched. Laufey also performed "Lover Girl," a track from her upcoming third studio album, titled A Matter of Time. Laufey is set to release A Matter of Time on August 22. The album will also include the singles "Snow White," "Silver Lining" and "Tough Luck." Laufey will be promoting the album with a new tour that begins Sept. 15 in Orlando and wraps up Oct. 27 in Boston.

The new music follows the K-pop group's debut mixtape, Hop, which dropped in December. A music video teaser released Friday for the song "Ceremony" indicates the members of Stray Kids will compete in various sports, as they seen entering an arena. In a trailer for the album, an apparent newscaster says, "The global sporting event that returns every year -- The 2081 Karma Sports Event... is known to have eight players participating. Will they be able to break the past records?" He appears to be referring to the band members -- Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin and I.N. The album arrives Aug. 22 and will contain the songs "Bleep," "Ceremony," "Creed," "Mess," "In My Head," "Half Time," "Phoenix," "Ghost," "0801" and a festival version of "Ceremony." The music video for "Ceremony" will also drop that day.
