Watch: Deku's final battle begins in 'My Hero Academia' Season 8

June 16 (UPI) -- TOHO Animation released a trailer for the eighth and final season of popular anime series My Hero Academia, teasing clips from the heroes' final battles.
The trailer, released Monday, features scenes of main character Izuku Midoriya, aka Deku, clashing with the villainous Tomura Shigaraki, while Midoriya's mentor, All Might, continues the fight with nemesis All for One that began at the end of Season 7.
The upcoming Season 8 will mark the end of the series, which is based on the manga by Kohei Horikoshi.
"The story is set in a world where nearly 80 percent of the population possesses supernatural abilities known as 'Quirks,'" the official synopsis reads. "It follows the growth, struggles and friendships of high school student Izuku Midoriya and his classmates, all of whom have enrolled at U.A. High to become heroes and defend society from villains who attempt to exploit accidents, natural disasters, and Quirks for their own gain!"
Season 8 will begin in October of this year, but no specific date was revealed. My Hero Academia streams in the United States on subscription service Crunchyroll.

Production is commencing on the Warner Bros. studio lot in Burbank, Calif. with some Pittsburgh, Pa., exteriors. A photo shows Noah Wyle and Ken Kirby walking through the hospital, followed by a camera. Wyle plays Dr. Robinavitch, who presides over a team of doctors and nurses in a Pittsburgh hospital. The first season followed one shift with each hour representing an hour of real time. Kirby played a doctor introduced at 6 p.m. or episode 12. Tracy Ifeachor, Patrick Ball, Katherine LaNasa, Fiona Dourif and Isa Briones also star. Wyle reunites with his ER producer John Wells and also executive produces. R. Scott Gemmill created The Pitt. Max renewed The Pitt for Season 2 in February. The Season 1 finale aired April 10. Wyle discussed plans for the new season in May on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Season 2 will stream in January, by which time Max will revert its name back to HBO Max.

Animated comedy 'Digman!' Season 2 gets trailer, July premiere date

June 16 (UPI) -- Comedy Central released a trailer for Season 2 of adult animated adventure comedy Digman!, which premieres on the network July 19. The trailer, released Monday, teases the further adventures of archaeologist Rip Digman (voiced by Andy Samberg) and supporting cast Saltine (Mitra Jouhari), Swooper (Tim Robinson), Agatha (Dale Soules), Zane (Guz Khan), Bella (Melissa Fumero) and Quail Eegan (Tim Meadows). "The half-hour animated series is set in a world where archaeologists are massive celebrities and the coolest people on the planet," the official synopsis reads. Season 1 of Digman! is now streaming on Paramount+ and Comedy Central Video On Demand. Season 2 premieres July 9 at 10:30 p.m. EDT on Comedy Central.

June 16 (UPI) -- Former Golden Bachelor and Golden Bachelorette contestants are joining the younger cohort of Bachelor franchise stars for Bachelor in Paradise Season 10. The older singles who will be looking for love in Costa Rica include April Kirkwood, Kathy Swarts, Natascha Hardee, Leslie Fhima, Charles "CK" King, Jack Lencioni, Keith Gordon, Kim Buike, Ralph "RJ" Johnson and Gary Levingston. "Wisdom is the domain of the old," says Buike in the clip introducing the Golden alums. ABC previously announced Dale Moss, Jeremy Simon, Jonathan Johnson, Alexe-Anne Godin, Bailey Brown, Brian Autz, Hakeem Moulton, Jessica Edwards, Justin Glaze, Katherine Izzo, Kyle Howard, Lexi Young, Riquerdy Marinez, Sam McKinney, Spencer Conley and Zoe McGrady will be among the Bachelor in Paradise Season 10 cast members. The upcoming season will show the Bachelor franchise's "fan favorites" as they interact with one another. Season 10 premieres July 7 on ABC, with episodes available to stream the next day on Hulu.
