World's most popular TikToker Khaby Lame deported from US for allegedly overstaying visa
KHABY LAME, THE world's most popular TikTok personality with millions of followers, has left the US after being detained by immigration agents in Las Vegas for allegedly overstaying his visa.
The Senegalese-Italian influencer, whose legal name is Seringe Khabane Lame, was detained on Friday at Harry Reid International Airport – but was allowed to leave the country without a deportation order, a spokesperson for US Immigration and Customs Enforcement confirmed in a statement.
Lame arrived in the US on 30 April and 'overstayed the terms of his visa', the ICE spokesperson said.
The Associated Press sent a message seeking comment on Tuesday to the email address listed on Lame's Instagram account. He has not publicly commented on his detainment.
His detainment and voluntary departure from the US comes amid President Donald Trump's escalating crackdown on immigration, including raids in Los Angeles that sparked days of protests against ICE, as the president tests the bounds of his executive authority.

A voluntary departure — which was granted to Lame — allows those facing removal from the US to avoid a deportation order on their immigration record, which could prevent them from being allowed back into the US for up to a decade.
The 25-year-old rose to international fame during the pandemic without ever saying a word in his videos, which would show him reacting to absurdly complicated 'life hacks'.
He has more than 162 million followers on TikTok alone.
The Senegal-born influencer moved to Italy when he was an infant with his working class parents and has Italian citizenship.
His internet fame quickly evolved. He signed a multiyear partnership with designer brand Hugo Boss in 2022. In January, he was appointed as a Unicef goodwill ambassador.
Last month, he attended the Met Gala in New York City, days after arriving in the US.

'I think people like to hear about the kind of quirky things…for example, the microgravity flights are often named 'the vomit comet' because people get motion sick on them. 'Because you're flying in this trajectory on the aircraft where it's like you're flying up and down, and you're getting this 20 seconds of weightlessness, and you then transition into like a 2g pull, so everything becomes heavy, and often in those transitions, people can get motion sick and and so people often like to hear, did you get sick? It's just, if you did have to go to the toilet, there's no toilets on the spacecraft. So what do you do? You wear a mag on your space flight. I think it's those interesting little facts that people like to get a sense of that the human side.' Norah's journey has also quietly transformed her into a role model for a new generation of space enthusiasts, especially in Ireland. Her presence in the space world shows young people—particularly girls and those from underrepresented communities—that space isn't just for a select few. 'I just want to be able to use the flight as a means of engaging with as many, not just kids, adults too, in Ireland, just to share what we're doing, inspire them and If there was some big dream or ambition they had, to find possible routes to make it happen.' Mark Wright says sorry for 'horrendous' post in wake of Air India plane crash
Mark Wright has apologised after sharing a post that was deemed insensitive in the wake of the Air India plane crash. He's since deleted the post and said in a statement on his Instagram Stories that it had been a "horrendous coincidence". Mark, 38, and Michelle Keegan, also 38, have been sharing content on Instagram from a holiday to Spain lately. The couple, who were joined by some of his family on the trip, took their three-month-old baby Palma abroad for the first time. They are understood to have already returned to the UK and earlier today Mark is said to have shared a photo of the trio in front of a private jet at an airport. He reportedly teased over having limited leg room on standard flights in the post. The Heart radio host is said to have been met with a backlash over the post amid the news of the Air India flight, which went down shortly after take-off from Ahmedabad. It had been bound for Gatwick Airport in London. Mark has since apologised for the "mistake," telling fans that he had scheduled the post, which has now been deleted, in advance. He shared a statement on his Instagram Story, in which he said it had been a "horrendous coincidence", Mirror UK reports. He wrote: "I apologise for a post I just put up on my page after today's heartbreaking events. I have posts from a holiday that are on the scheduled setting, which go out on future days I have set them for which was done last week." Mark continued the statement by saying that it was a "coincidence" that it had gone out on the same day as the Air India crash. He told fans that as soon as he realised what had happened, he "immediately" deleted the post. He added in the message to his followers this evening: "It's a horrendous coincidence that today's post was on such a devastating day. Once I logged in to my Instagram and realised the post had gone out, I immediately deleted [it]." The former TOWIE star concluded by expressing sympathy with anyone affected by the plane crash. He wrote: "My heart goes out to everyone who has been effected from today. I'm sorry for this mistake and any offence caused." According to the Sun, Mark had teased over not having extra leg room on the flight home from his holiday with Michelle and their daughter in the post. Seemingly teasing over them not travelling on a private plane, he's said to have written: "1 day babe, for now we'll take row 26 with no extra leg room." The outlet reports that some of his followers were quick to question the post given the news of the Air India flight. One person is said to have responded to him: "Not really appropriate to put this up after today's plane crash." Another is quoted as having said: "Prob not the best day to post this when so many people lost their lives on a plane." I've only ever tried a super cheap one from the Poundshop, so I decided to give the more pricey £9.99 Phillips version a try. This one in particular was described as 'magic' by one user on TikTok, with another calling it a 'game changer'. One video recommending the model in question has also racked up over 50.3k views. Quite a few Tiktok users commented that it's important to remove the plastic cap, with some forgetting to do so and not finding it as effective. But once it's off, it's easy to use. These ones were £5.99 for two on Amazon but I've seen them for as little as £1 each on Tiktok shop. Sadly the low price is reflected in the product quality. The plastic case broke almost immediately after I took them out of the packaging. That said, it does still do the job. Advertisement Simply roll the sticky pad over your clothes and it picks up any unwanted dust, fluff and hair really easily. The adhesive pad is super sticky so it really clings to everything. To clear it, you just rinse the pad under water. You are supposed to remove it from the case, but I struggled to do this in fear of breaking it as it's so flimsy. The biggest problem I found was drying it. You can't use a towel or cloth as it's so sticky that it just gathers more dust. Rating: 3/10 VERDICT Not every TikTok gadget lived up to the hype, but a few stood out as genuinely smart solutions. I'll definitely be adding a couple of them to my styling kit, as well as my own personal wardrobe. Some of these affordable devices have proven to make a real difference, especially to those who favour convenience without compromising on style. I was especially impressed with the pricing of the products too. These are all budget-friendly alternatives to visiting a tailor or buying brand new products. So if you're navigating fluctuating sizes or want to refresh your favourite jumpers, these trending tools actually prove that most of the time, TikTok hacks do deliver.
