Huge Coronation Street star set to make dramatic return and filming has started
Coronation Street is reportedly bringing back a chaotic character, with the actor expected to be back on screen later this summer which will no doubt delight fans
Coronation Street icon Amy Robbins, best known for her role as Christina Boyd, is reportedly making a comeback to the cobbles despite her sudden exit from the long-running programme. According to reports, the 54-year-old star, who made her first appearance on Corrie in early 2023, has already started filming.
Amy made her exit from the show as nightmare mum of Daisy Midgeley earlier this year as part of Daisy's exit storyline. Amy played the role of Christina on and off since 2023. It was confirmed earlier this year that Charlotte Jordan, who played her on screen daughter, would leave the soap after four years, in a bid to "explore other opportunities."
Daisy might have left, but there's still a big storyline waiting for Christina, with fans able to expect her back on screen soon.
A source recently claimed to The Sun that Amy is filming new scenes, explaining: "Christina will be back to her usual tricks causing chaos on the cobbles. There's going to be some incredible scenes with her and Jenny clashing.
'And this time she's back for a long stint. She returned to filming recently and she'll be back on screen later this summer. It's definitely going to be explosive.'
When Charlotte left the show, she said: "My time at Coronation Street is something I'll always cherish. After a brilliant four years for Daisy, it's time for me to start a new chapter and explore other opportunities.'
Amy returned as "hot mess" Christina earlier this year to make sure her on-screen daughter had an exit to remember.
Despite having a turbulent relationship, Daisy reached out to her mother, insisting she needed help. For the first time, the mother and daughter worked together as a duo, and unfortunately, Daisy's step mum Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) got the brunt of it.
Speaking of her previous return, Amy said to the Mirror at the time: "For the first time you see the two women work together. When push comes to shove, she's relying on her flesh and blood to help her out of it.
"Christina runs to her rescue to finally get revenge on Jenny, which is what she's always wanted to do."
At the time, she also claimed it was her last stint on the cobbles and insisted a return for Christina was "highly unlikely" after Daisy's departure.

'Masterpiece' perfume is 40% off from little-known site that is 'perfect for summer'
Perfume lovers are rushing to buy a 'masterpiece' fragrance that's now nearly 40% off in a limited time sale. Elizabeth Taylor's Violet Eyes, typically priced at £52 for a 100ml bottle, is available for £32 on OFFSCENT. Launched in 2010, Violet Eyes was crafted by celebrated perfumer Carlos Benaïm, known for hits like YSL Libre (£82.50 for 50ml), ViktorandRolf's Flowerbomb (£60 for 30ml), and Giorgio Armani's My Way (£57 for 30ml). All of these are discounted on OFFSCENT with code REACH25, which just needs to be added before checkout. The sophisticated Elizabeth Taylor scent begins with bright peach notes, followed by a floral heart of rose and jasmine, before settling into a woody base of Virginia cedar, peony, and amber. Although it has yet to receive reviews on OFFSCENT, Violet Eyes has garnered rave reviews on Fragrantica, a platform where fragrance enthusiasts share their opinions. One fragrance aficionado praised it, saying: "This is a great affordable light fresh-fruity-floral. It's along the lines of Light Blue, Daisy (especially Daisy) and I Love Love. If you love these perfumes, or fragrances similar to those, you would most likely love this one! Perfect for Spring and Summer, but super fresh for Summer without being "beachy". The dry down is similar to Light Blue if LB also had a fruitiness to it." Another reviewer wrote: "I wore it today, Beautiful feminine scent, very very classy, amazing for everyday wear not to strong lasts a good amount of time. Wonderful," reports the Manchester Evening News. Many fragrance fans are seeing parallels between Violet Eyes and Light Blue, with the latter being priced at £64 for a 30ml bottle at Boots; one enthusiast shared: "I adore Violet Eyes. It's the only perfume I can wear from the Elizabeth Taylor collection because It's not outdated and the notes are seamlessly blended. A masterpiece by Carlos Benaïm. It's like the woody floral version of the citrusy fresh Light Blue by Dolce and Gabbana. Beautiful and reasonably priced." While some may not reach for it frequently, finding it better suited for colder weather, another person commented: "Out of all the Elizabeth Taylor perfumes I own, this wasn't one I'd reach for. I've been trying to cycle through my collection and use up stuff and this one really surprised me -- while it's a floral, it really shines in the winter, thanks to the cedar note. It's very light and frothy and it lifted my spirits. To make it feel more woodsy, I layered it with Good Chemistry's Rustic Woods." OFFSCENT boasts an extensive selection of fragrances on their site, including deals on some, but offers our readers an exclusive 25% discount on full-priced scents such as with code REACH25.

'We made a change after Covid that's let us quit our jobs to travel the world'
Ryan Losasso and Jade Beaty, 30, are now known as Live The Dash and travel across the world filming their exploits for their TikTok account, which is followed by 505,000 people A couple quit their desk jobs and now travel the world full-time after discovering what they had captured on holiday. Ryan Losasso and Jade Beaty, 30, are now known as Live The Dash, one of the biggest UK travel creators with 505,000 followers on TikTok. They live a life many dream of, getting paid to whizz around the world to intriguing destinations. The advertising workers had not planned to become full-time TikTok content creators. In fact, it wasn't until they returned from a big six-month trip at the turn of the Covid lockdowns that they realised what they were sitting on. "We had all this video content when the world shut down, and we had a lot of time on our hands. So we turned to this huge stock of footage," Ryan told the Mirror. "We set ourselves a challenge of posting a video every day for 30 days. Then when some of that did really well, it spurred us on. We continued to post every day for six months." Do you have a travel story to share? Email webtravel@ READ MORE: Tourist warning to 10 million as Europe's hottest capital on alert Jade added: "It was surprising how quickly we got through that content. On a walk in Spain, the videos were doing quite well, and we realised we were going to run out of content soon. We started joking that we'd start going on trips." At first, the couple juggled their desk jobs with travel, booking themselves onto the cheapest flight out after they clocked off on a Friday and returning on Sunday. Two years ago, they decided to go full time. The risk has clearly paid off, as Jade and Ryan are among the most watched travel TikTok channels and won the platform's Travel Award for 2024. Part of the secret to their success is putting in the research hours before they go on a trip and then only travelling when they've landed on a great idea. That might be heading to New York to see if the hallowed 'dollar slice' of pizza can still be purchased, or around the UK in search for a genuine 99p 99 whippy. They've also spent the night on the fastest sleeper train in the world, which rushes snoozing passengers from Hong Kong to Shanghai. "Was it amazing? The tech is amazing, but you're sharing with three other strangers. It reaches 270 mph, but it's super smooth," Ryan explained. "For TikTok specifically, we have our hooks before we go. We film all we can, we film the journey, we film two intros, two hooks. We bet on all the horses." The search for something new that will engage their audiences takes the pair to places they might otherwise not have visited, which often turn out to be the most enjoyable. READ MORE: Brits warned of travel chaos as European airport hit by 10th walkout in 45 days "Somewhere I wasn't expecting much from was Weston-super-mare. It had a lot of cheap whippies. It is obviously a faded Victorian seaside town, but the beach is gorgeous," Ryan said. Jade added: "We also like to hunt out weird hotels. We stayed in a cow cabin with unlimited free milk, near Ed Sheeran's hometown, called Easton Farm Park. We also stayed in these huge tree houses in Derby." The old adage of 'if you do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life' seems true in the couple's case. They still have the travel bug and are hugely excited by their trips. Part of that means pushing themselves to engage with people they meet along the way. "We have this rule that whenever we're on the plane, we have to speak to the person next to us. One guy told us 'do what excites you'. Six years later, we still tell ourselves that. We call it Conrad's message." The couple also recommends running every day and practicing good communication for travelling couples who want to avoid arguments while on the road. In terms of finding inspiration, they recommend using the adjustable 'For You' feed on TikTok. It is now possible to customise content preferences so you can see more or less of certain content in topics from over 10 categories – including travel, sports, nature, and food and drink An AI-powered 'smart keyword filter" that allows users to limit content they don't want to see'. "The For You feed is the heart of TikTok, a way for us to discover new content. We use the new features, manage topics, and think it's really cool that you can filter which topics you want to see more or less of."

Wayne later said he was "disappointed" with McGregor for attacking his employee and friend Joe Gomez. McGregor made his UFC debut in April 2013. He quickly won over fight fans with his mix of fast hands and aggressive grappling. The Notorious has tasted victory in 22 of his 28 pro fights, but hasn't entered the octagon since a rematch loss to Dustin Poirier in July 2021.
