DUBAI (ALETIHAD)His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, attended the graduation ceremony of the 2024-2025 cohort of the Mohammed bin Rashid Leadership Programme, launched by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Center for Leadership Development (MBRCLD), part of The Executive Office of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. His Highness affirmed that developing innovative leaders who can shape the future remains a national priority and a key pillar of the UAE's approach to progress. By empowering national talent across sectors, the UAE continues to strengthen its global standing and enable institutions to keep pace with advancements across sectors.His Highness Sheikh Mohammed said: 'I am proud of this new cohort of ambitious national leaders from both the public and private sectors. They embody the positive initiative, responsibility, and commitment to personal and institutional growth, as well as to public service, that our people demonstrate daily. Hundreds of leaders have now graduated from the Mohammed bin Rashid Leadership Programme. We remain committed to nurturing innovative leaders who have the courage to take bold decisions and challenge conventional thinking.'
Comprehensive Leadership Experiences The programme is designed to develop and empower aspiring Emirati leaders for key positions and strategic project management across public and private sector organisations.Founded on the vision and methodology of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the programme featured a series of comprehensive leadership experiences that blend thought, practical application, and global perspectives, with individual and group mentoring.A total of 60 Emirati leaders and global experts provided oversight and mentorship, in collaboration with leading international universities and centres. The programme also offered an international trip that included a visit to the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the UK, where participants received training in discipline, decisiveness, and field leadership. Participants in the 2024-2025 cohort submitted a practical application focused on six transformative projects across health, education, the economy, quality of life, tourism, infrastructure, and community sectors.Launched in 2017, the Mohammed bin Rashid Leadership Programme develops leaders who champion innovation, drive transformative change in workplaces, and contribute to shaping the future.
Since 2003, the MBRCLD has delivered impactful programmes that cultivate well-rounded, adaptable leaders equipped to navigate change and address future challenges with competence and foresight.

She added that the initiative promotes job stability and clear career growth pathways. Participants will receive comprehensive training, including specialised technical courses, mentoring, professional guidance, and involvement in operational teams. Their progress will be regularly evaluated to ensure optimal benefits. The RTA also reported that it offers various incentives to attract and retain Emirati engineers. These include career progression opportunities, access to professional certifications, and assignments in technically focused projects that build practical experience. The training will take place across RTA's sectors in an innovation-driven environment. It will involve collaboration with international companies and universities. Moreover, participants will gain hands-on experience through fieldwork on major infrastructure and transport projects in Dubai. Abdullah Bin Zayed receives Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister
Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, received Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, as part of the 12th session of the UAE-Pakistan Joint Ministerial Comission, held in Abu Dhabi. Sheikh Abdullah and Mohammad Ishaq Dar discussed bilateral relations and ways to further develop them to serve mutual interests and promote prosperity and well-being for both peoples. Following the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah and Ishaq Dar signed the minutes of the 12th session of the Joint Ministerial Commission between the two countries. Sheikh Abdullah and his Pakistani counterpart also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the mutual exemption of entry visa requirements between the two countries. Both sides witnessed the signing of a MoU regarding the establishment of a joint task force to promote UAE investments in strategic sectors in Pakistan. The MoU was signed by Mohamed Hassan Al Suwaidi, Minister of Investment, and Tariq Bajwa, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan. They also witnessed the signing of an agreement on artificial intelligence and digital economy, signed by Mohamed Hassan Al Suwaidi and Zarar Hashim Khan, Federal Secretary, Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunications of Pakistan. The joint commission meeting was attended by Mohamed Hassan Al Suwaidi, Minister of Investment; Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State; Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, Assistant Foreign Minister for Economic and Trade Affairs; Omran Sharaf, Assistant Foreign Minister for Advanced Science and Technology; and Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi, UAE Ambassador to Pakistan. Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh chaired the UAE side participating in the Joint Ministerial Comission, with Tariq Bajwa, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, chairing the Pakistani side. In his speech, Al Sayegh affirmed that the Joint Ministerial Commission meeting reflects the deep-rooted partnership between the UAE and Pakistan, built on decades of cooperation and shared vision. He expressed appreciation to Mohammad Ishaq Dar for his efforts and commitment to advancing bilateral relations between the UAE and Pakistan, as both countries continue to strengthen ties across various sectors of mutual interest. Al Sayegh stressed that Pakistan is a long-standing partner of the UAE, as reflected in the distinguished bilateral relations since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1971, noting that these relations continue to thrive, with non-oil trade exceeding US$8.6 billion in 2024. He noted that the UAE and Pakistan have spent more than 50 years fostering a partnership rooted in mutual trust, respect and shared objectives, highlighting their joint commitment to a prosperous and forward-looking future for coming generations.
