Tom Holland begins filming for ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day'
Hollywood star Tom Holland has started shooting for his film Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Slated to release in theatres on July 31, 2026, the upcoming installment of the Spider-Man franchise is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. It also stars Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Sadie Sink, and Liza Colon-Zayas, among others. The 29-year-old actor shared the news by uploading a video post on his Instagram handle on Saturday. The post featured Holland in the costume of his character walking towards the camera. Details regarding the plot remain unknown; however, the title is a nod to a controversial 2008 comic storyline in which Peter Parker's identity is erased from public memory after a universe-altering event, closely mirroring the ending of Spider-Man: No Way Home. The film will be penned by Erik Sommers and Chris McKenna, the writing duo behind No Way Home, and marks a significant moment in the ongoing Sony-Disney collaboration that has allowed Spider-Man to remain part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
