Actress said Noel Clarke would use Bafta to ‘lure women to lair', court told
Ms Lusi, who starred in ITV thriller Red Eye, told the newspaper it was 'terrifying' that Clarke was due to be given an honorary Bafta in 2021.
The Gangs Of London actress is the latest witness to give evidence in Clarke's libel battle against Guardian News and Media (GNM).
Clarke is suing the publisher of the Guardian over seven articles and a podcast, including an article in April 2021 that said 20 women who knew him professionally had come forward with allegations of misconduct.
The Doctor Who actor, 49, denies the allegations and claims several people who have made allegations against him are part of a conspiracy to defame him.
On Friday, audio of a conversation between Ms Lusi and Guardian journalists weeks before the articles were published was played in court, where she discussed Bafta's announcement that it would give Clarke the Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema Award.
In the conversation, she said the award was 'a loaded gun'.
She said: 'He is either going to use it to dupe girls and lure them back to his lair or use it to silence them.'
She continued: 'It is a double-edged sword he is going to bring down on women.'
Referring to Clarke's first Bafta win in 2009, Ms Lusi also said that he 'dined out on that ticket', and that he 'could not stop talking about it' when the pair worked together on a film in 2018.
In court, Clarke's barrister, Philip Williams, said that Ms Lusi's claims were 'outrageous', and asked whether she wished to withdraw the 'lair' allegation.
Ms Lusi replied: 'No.'
Mr Williams later said: 'You were part of the campaign against Mr Clarke's Bafta.
'That was fuelled by jealousy, spite and the fact you thought that he was mediocre.'
Ms Lusi replied: 'That is not correct.'
The court in London was told that Clarke and Ms Lusi worked together on the film SAS: Red Notice, which was filmed in Budapest, Hungary.
In her witness statement, Ms Lusi said that at a dinner with Clarke and others during filming, she said she was aspiring to become a writer and suggested they could do a read-through of a script she had written.
In her statement, she said: 'Noel seemed keen at the idea, so I asked 'where?', to which he responded, without missing a beat, 'in my bed' or 'in my bedroom'.
'I was taken aback and said 'what?' and he repeated 'in my bedroom', the second time playing mock shy, sipping on this drink. This was all in front of the others.'
In court, Mr Williams said: 'The opportunity was there to go through the script.'
He continued: 'He would read the script through in front of other people. There would be no reason to separate you off.'
Ms Lusi replied: 'I did not have the script with me. I did not mean right there at that dinner.'
She continued: 'He said something that was not about the work but sexualising a legitimate idea I had involving other actors.'
She added: 'He turned it into a sexual connotation.'
Ms Lusi also later claimed that at the same dinner, Clarke asked to look at her hands, which she refused.
She claimed Clarke replied: 'Why? You won't let a black man touch you?'
In court, Mr Williams told Ms Lusi that Clarke 'never said' the comment, to which Ms Lusi replied: 'He absolutely did. I found it horrifying.'
Mr Williams suggested to Ms Lusi that during her and Clarke's time in Budapest, the pair engaged in 'sexual banter and conversation', which she 'volunteered'.
Ms Lusi told the court that she had made some disclosures about her sex life to Clarke, but described herself as a 'prude' and said he 'had a way of making the most innocuous thing sexual' and was 'very probing'.
In her witness statement, Ms Lusi then described another dinner between the pair in Budapest at which Clarke 'told me in explicit terms that he had fantasised about me, describing to me what he wanted to do to me', which she said left her 'feeling so disgusted'.
She later claimed he threatened her, stating: 'When I rebutted what Noel had said, that's when the threat came.
'He said something to the effect of 'don't tell anyone about this, or I will find out about it. It's a small world, I know everyone, if you do tell anyone I will find out about it and I'll come for you' or 'I'll get you.' It was a clear threat.
'I think I agreed to what he asked, more out of shock and disbelief in the moment than out of fear.'
In court, Mr Williams asked Ms Lusi why she did not confront Clarke the following day, to which she responded: 'You are asking me why I did not confront the man who I felt had harassed me and threatened me.'
She continued: 'I think he knew he was out of order. If he did not know that, why did he silence me?'
She added: 'I did not feel comfortable.'
The hearing before Mrs Justice Steyn is due to conclude in April, with a decision expected in writing at a later date.

Former pastor convicted of abusing woman and children over 23 years
A former pastor with the Free Church of Scotland (Continuing) is behind bars after being convicted of the serial abuse of a woman and eight children over a 23-year period. The Rev James Haram, 51, was found guilty of 19 charges of physical and sexual abuse, with a judge branding his victims' ordeals as 'truly awful'. The crimes, which included the rape of the woman, took place between 1997 and 2020 at addresses in Glasgow, Dumbarton, West Dunbartonshire and South Ayrshire. Haram subjected the woman, whose identity is protected, to a campaign of abuse The High Court in Glasgow heard testimony detailing Haram's catalogue of abuse. The woman, whose identity is protected, was subjected to a campaign of psychological and physical torment. She was called derogatory names, and Haram would fly into rages, punching walls and throwing household items. The court was told he once threatened to hit her with a piano stool and even mowed over flowers she had grown. His controlling behaviour extended to tracking her movements and conversations. The violence escalated to the point where Haram grabbed and choked her, causing her 'whole body to go limp'. Jurors were also told of the pastor's manipulation as he badgered the woman into sex, using biblical references to force her to 'subject' herself to him. Haram conducted 'modesty checks' on young girls SPINDRIFT During his defence, Haram claimed all sexual encounters were consensual and that the woman was an 'incredibly convincing' liar who had used her 'many wonderful gifts' to 'turn against' him. However, he did admit to 'occasional flare-ups of aggression'. The court was told Haram conducted 'modesty checks' on young girls and violent beatings with a wooden spoon or a rod. John Macpherson, prosecuting, highlighted one girl's 'graphic account of some savagery' and being regularly beaten by Haram, an account which the pastor said was 'wholly fabricated'. In one incident, Haram allegedly flew into a rage while in a car with two children, threatening to deliberately crash and kill them all. He told the trial: 'They knew I did not mean it.' In a final act of defiance, Haram clutched a Bible as he was led to the cells. Judge Tom Hughes told Haram that the jury had heard deeply distressing evidence and that the 'extremely serious offences' would 'obviously carry a lengthy custodial sentence'. Sentencing has been deferred until September for reports, but Haram has been remanded in custody.

Emmerdale's Ben drops earth-shattering bombshell about Owen as John twist sealed
Emmerdale spoilers have revealed the moment removal man Ben makes a jaw-dropping admission to the police about Nate Robinson's presumed killer Owen amid John Sugden's lies New Emmerdale character Ben makes his return to the ITV soap next week leaving Nate Robinson's loved ones reeling. Fans may recall the character was the removal man who came to collect Nate's belongings from his wife Tracy Robinson, prior to Nate's death being announced. At the time Nate was believed to have moved away and cut off his family, sending removal guy Ben to get his things for him. Now knowing that Nate was murdered, it became apparent to the police that it could not have been Nate who did this, and was likely his killer. It comes after Nate's murderer John Sugden successfully framed a patient called Owen for the crime, leaving him to die after an apparent overdose all so he could make it look like Owen was the killer. Next week Ben shows up in the village leaving Tracy stunned, with her and Nate's loved ones keen to finally see whether or not Owen killed Nate. When an update sees the detective tell Nate's father Cain Dingle that there's been some new evidence, the arrival of Ben sparks more intrigue. Now a new preview has revealed the moment Ben is in the shop with Tracy and Cain, as well as Mackenzie Boyd. The detective on Nate's case is called there and approaches Ben asking him where he's been and why he hasn't come forward. He claims he's been away and hadn't heard about Nate's murder. It then comes out that Tracy has showed Ben a photo of Nate, and Ben is able to confirm it was not him that booked the service or who he met with to hand over the items. The police are keen for Ben to identity whoever it was, believing this will give away who killed Nate. As they open up a file, the show him a picture of Owen. Immediately Ben claims that Owen is the guy he met with and who asked for Nate's belongings, posing as Nate. With that it appears to confirm to the police and Tracy, and the others, that Owen had Nate's stuff removed, and that this likely means he killed Nate. But as a viewer, we know full well that this just isn't adding up, and there has to be something about newcomer Ben. If Ben literally met the person who wanted Nate's belongings, with him now claiming this was Owen, then he would know it was actually John or someone else. Given John had Nate's belongings and he burned them, and he organised the pick-up in the first place, Ben would know it wasn't Owen, the man in the photo. Owen did not kill Nate, fact, and he wasn't even in the village until months later. By the time Owen was on the scene, Ben had been and gone and Nate's death was exposed. So it can't have been Owen and we, the viewer, know that it wasn't as we saw the flashbacks proving John did it, and then we saw him burn the items too. So very clearly here Ben is lying to the police, but why? Unless of course Ben never actually saw anyone, John or not. But that said John wouldn't have known Owen back then to set him up, so there's just no way Ben has seen Owen, and therefore his identification to the police is false.
