McIlroy, 36, has now whisked himself away to the south of France from some R&R.
The golfer was spotted by some fans partying in a beach club to loud music.
The fans were keen to know why he was not wearing his green blazer that he earned for winning the Masters in April.
They typed out a message on their phone reading "Where's the Green Jacket?".
They also tried shouting the question to McIlroy, but could not be heard over the loud music.
McIlroy eventually spotted the fans and bounced his way over to them, clutching a wine glass.
He answered their question brilliantly as he joked: "It's on the yacht."
The group of them burst out laughing as they enjoyed the vibes of the party.
McIlroy appeared very relaxed with his friends as he wore a jacketless outfit of a black shirt and swim trunks paired with a backwards cap.
The moment has gone viral on social media with plenty of fans enjoying the golfer's humour.

LIV Golf star reaches £43m as ex-Ryder Cup ace who beat Rory McIlroy refuses prize money

The world of golf continues to buzz with headline-grabbing drama, surprise developments and eye-catching storylines involving some of the sport's biggest names The final major of the season might be done and dusted, but the golfing landscape is still ablaze with stories of triumph, redemption, and jaw-dropping earnings. Scottie Scheffler's recent victory at The Open Championship further solidified his dominance, clinching another major title with a masterful performance at Royal Portrush, pushing his PGA Tour earnings this season above the £14million mark. ‌ But the American isn't the only one making a killing, with LIV Golf's lucrative purses propelling players like Joaquin Niemann to new financial heights. Elsewhere, a former Ryder Cup star who once outshone Rory McIlroy made headlines by turning down prize money after a stunning return. ‌ Meanwhile, McIlroy himself turned heads with an expected appearance, and Kurt Kitayama etched his name into PGA Tour history with an extraordinary feat. Here, Mirror Sport provides a roundup of the latest news from the fairways. ‌ Niemann's LIV Golf riches soar Joaquin Niemann's victory at LIV Golf UK on Sunday added another £3m to his already impressive earnings, pushing his total LIV prize money to £43m. The Chilean star, who missed the cut at The Open, has now played 43 events in the Saudi-backed series. His latest triumph at JCB Golf and Country Club in England saw him outpace a strong field, cementing his status as one of LIV's top earners. With £43m banked, Niemann trails only Talor Gooch and Dustin Johnson in the LIV money list. This year, however, he's top of the earnings table with £15.8m collected, edging out big-name stars like Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm. Dubuisson refuses prize money Victor Dubuisson, the enigmatic Frenchman who pipped Rory McIlroy to win the 2015 Turkish Airlines Open, made a sensational return to competitive golf by clinching the Biarritz Cup on the Alps Tour. The former Ryder Cup star, who retired in 2023 to focus on coaching, fired rounds of 62-65-61 to win in a playoff against Jorge Maicas. Remarkably, Dubuisson declined the £6,600 winner's cheque, citing "a gesture of personal principle," allowing Maicas to claim the top prize instead. The 35-year-old, who has been running clinics in Tenerife, hinted at a permanent comeback but remains undecided. ‌ McIlroy's surprise appearance Rory McIlroy, fresh from a post-Open Championship holiday in France, made an unexpected appearance at the Senior Open at Carnoustie, Scotland. The world No. 2, who has faced scrutiny after failing to keep his Masters momentum going, was spotted supporting the over-50s field, including former Ryder Cup team-mates like Lee Westwood and Padraig Harrington. The Northern Irishman's presence at the event sparked speculation about his late-season plans. While he didn't compete, his attendance highlighted his enduring passion for the game and its history. ‌ With all four majors in the rear-view mirror, McIlroy's focus will now switch to next month's Wyndham Championship, FedEx St. Jude Championship and BMW Championship as the season begins to wind down. Kitayama's record-breaking win Kurt Kitayama stormed to victory at the 3M Open, securing his second PGA Tour title in style and etching his name into the record books. The 32-year-old American carded an astonishing 20 birdies over the weekend, a feat not seen on the PGA Tour in over 40 years. Finishing at -23, Kitayama held off a strong field, including Jake Knapp and Matt Wallace, to claim the title at TPC Twin Cities. With just two wins in 107 PGA Tour events, Kitayama's performance signals a resurgence, raising hopes that he can challenge golf's elite in future events.

David and Victoria Beckham narrowly avoid awkward run-in with estranged son Brooklyn and wife Nicole Peltz in sun-soaked St Tropez - following Elton John's 'attempts to end ongoing feud'

David and Victoria Beckham narrowly avoided an awkward run-in with estranged son Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz in sun-soaked St Tropez last week. The former footballer, 50, and fashion designer, 51, arrived in the swanky south of France for their annual summer break on a £16M yacht, while their eldest son, 26, holidayed on his billionaire father's boat nearby. David and Victoria were joined on the lavish getaway by the rest of their children; Harper, 14, and Romeo, 22, while youngest son Cruz, 20, soaked up the sun elsewhere in St Tropez with girlfriend Jackie Apostel, 30. Romeo and Harper were first of the family to be spotted in St Tropez on Thursday, just 48-hours after Brooklyn met with godfather Elton John, who was also holidaying in the South Of France, for lunch where the singer 'attempted to end ongoing family feud'. The once close-knit Beckham family has been thrown into turmoil in recent months, amid claims Brooklyn has become increasingly estranged from his famous parents after failing to attend any of his father 50th birthday celebrations in May. It was also revealed that Brooklyn and Nicola's Instagram accounts no longer follow his younger brothers in the latest family drama. Sir Elton, who has been friends with the Beckhams for three decades, reportedly took the opportunity to 'say his piece' about the feud as he wined and dined the young couple. According to The Sun, Sir Elton 'briefly' spoke about the family's feud in the hope Brooklyn would patch things up with his parents, and footage of the outing shared on social media showed the pair shaking hands. Speaking about Elton's attempts to play peacekeeper in the row, a source said: 'Elton is the showbiz equivalent of Switzerland. He's utterly neutral in this row. 'Elton of old may have relished in taking sides - in this case his young godson, Brooklyn - but two years off his 80th birthday, he's a man who has seen and done it all. He just wants everyone to be happy. 'There is no side-taking as such; he simply adores his godson, and really has a laugh with Nicola who he thinks has a great sense of humour. He wants to look after them in his role as 'spiritual adviser' as a godfather, it's a role he takes seriously. 'Elton and David think the situation is terribly sad, and has gently suggested to all involved that life is short - to patch things up.' The source added Elton is 'adamant he doesn't want to stick his nose in' the feud, he just simply 'wants peace'. Sir Elton is also said to have generously picked up the entire bill, after dining on the restaurant's signature lobster linguine which comes in at an eye-watering £190. David affectionately calls the musician 'Uncle Elton' after becoming friends in his football heyday. Sir Elton was due to perform at the Beckhams wedding in 1999 before suffering a heart attack that prevented him from playing. He later sang at one of the children's christenings. Meanwhile Victoria once disclosed that it was Elton who inspired her to say goodbye to the Spice Girls, penning an emotional letter to her older self where she confessed that watching her friend perform made her realise that her true calling lay beyond singing. Soaking up the sunshine on their £16 million vessel, David and Victoria were seen making the most of the picturesque French weather. Every the doting dad, David embraced his daughter Harper as they boarded a speedboat to take them to the shore. While her second son Romeo enjoyed jet ski ride in the sunshine, Victoria opted for a spot of downtime on the yacht, before changing into a chic yellow satin dress and a matching hat for the outing. The couple traded in their £5million yacht for the much bigger vessel last year, and had been pictured on it sailing around Miami. Amid his own lavish getaway Brooklyn embraced his billionaire father-in-law in snaps from the family getaway to St Tropez, while estranged mum Victoria snubbed him from her own family tribute. He enjoyed a friendly beer with Nelson Peltz, 83, before packing on the PDA with wife Nicola, 31, onboard the businessman's superyacht. Meanwhile back home Victoria honoured her own father-in-law Ted Beckham on his 77th birthday with a family snap, that did not include her eldest son and his wife. She captioned the post: 'Happy birthday @tedbeckham kisses' before going on to tag sons Romeo, Cruz as well as daughter Harper. Nicola shared a slew of final holiday snaps from the couple's lavish trip before heading home to the US. In a snap shared to her Instagram Stories Nicola threw her arms around Brooklyn's neck as they smooched while watching a sunset. She later stunned in a black mini dress as she strutted her stuff on the dance floor before enjoying a lavish fireworks display. The heiress later showcased her jaw-dropping figure as she headed ashore and turned heads in a Chanel crop top which she teamed with a fluffy shrug, despite the scorching weather. Meanwhile another source has claimed that Nicola and Brooklyn will not feature in his mother forthcoming documentary series. The former Spice Girl will take centre stage in a new Netflix docuseries about her day-to-day life as creative director of the eponymous fashion and beauty brand she originally launched in 2008. The source told The Sun: 'The children hardly feature — it's simply not a case of Brooklyn and Nicola being cut, as they weren't in it to start with. 'This is very much a project focussing on Victoria's transaction from pop star to businesswoman and designer.'

Update: Date: 2025-07-28T11:15:19.000Z Title: Preamble Content: Today's 163.5km flat stage is being heralded as a day for the sprinters, with flat roads to Angers resulting in a classic bunch sprint. There's a category four climb (1.7km at 4.6%) at 34km in and an intermediate sprint later on, at 123.9km. However, the final run to the finish line is technical, with a number of sharp corners in the last kilometre. The final is technical, though, with multiple sharp corners in the last 1.2 km of the stage. Eyes will be on SD Worx-Protime's Lorena Wiebes after she was denied a sprint finish on stage two by Mavi García's breakaway. Elisa Balsamo (Lidl-Trek), Ally Wollaston (FDJ-Suez) and Marianne Vos (Visma-Lease a Bike) could be Wiebes's main challengers.
