Sony TV's popular dance reality show, Super Dancer, is back with its fifth season. After a four-year break, the show has left no stone unturned to raise the bar of entertainment with its emotional and electrifying theme that has touched everyone's heart. Any guesses? In a touching tribute to motherhood, the second week of Super Dancer Chapter 5 introduced a special theme where mothers became dance partners to their talented children.
With the tagline, 'Fun hoga double, jab maa le jayenge har performance ko super se upar," the show celebrated the irreplaceable bond between a mother and child through dance, resilience and love.
Mothers, who usually cheer their children from the sidelines, stepped into the spotlight for the first time ever. Judge Geeta Kapur summed up the spirit of the week perfectly, saying, 'A mother gives her everything for her child." Fellow judges Shilpa Shetty and Marzi Pestonji also hailed the moms for stepping out of their comfort zones and becoming stars in their own right.
Choreographer Marzi has joined the panel this season in place of Anurag Basu. Adding to the nostalgia and energy was the return of beloved host Paritosh Tripathi, aka Mamaji, whose wit and warmth continue to charm fans across the country.
This season features 12 exceptionally talented young dancers, each paired with a renowned choreographer as their mentor. But beyond the competition, the spotlight this time shines on the mothers, whose support and sacrifices have helped shape these budding stars. This season isn't just about dance; it's about family, love and the unmatched strength of a mother.
Super Dancer Chapter 5 airs every Saturday and Sunday at 8 PM on Sony TV. It is also available for streaming anytime on the channel's digital platform, Sony LIV.

The actor, who played Reed Richards, aka Mister Fantastic, in the superhero film, revealed that he doesn't know why the scene was scrapped. But he also jokingly mentioned how he has been part of both the roles even if for a brief period. In a surprising turn of events in the American superhero movie, Fantastic Four, Reed Richards was briefly transformed into Wolverine from the X-Men film franchise. His face was being morphed in an attempt to impress Sue Storm, played by Jessica Alba. However, the scene, which was a lighthearted nod to the X-Men franchise, was deleted from the final cut of the film. Recently, wondering about one of the earliest crossovers in superhero cinema, Ioan Gruffudd told Vulture in a recent interview, 'I don't know why that didn't make it into the film."
