That all changed with a spectacular decision on who—or in this case, what— would throw the ceremonial first pitch of a game. Pepe the Penguin from the Brookfield Zoo already has an impressive following, but that fame skyrocketed after the penguin threw the first pitch at the White Sox-Royals game on Sunday.
Although the White Sox lost the game, they certainly won the day — on social media.
