'Think Donatello with a dash of Cinnamoroll, or Kuromi rocking Michelangelo's fierce attitude,' McDonald's menu spotter read.
Each Happy Meal comes with one of the 12 figurines and a character card that shares their unique skills and backstory.
McDonald's stressed that the three-way collaboration will be available only for a limited time: 'So race to your nearest McDonald's and collect them all before they vanish into the fandom multiverse.'

The McDonaldland Meal comes with your choice of a Quarter Pounder with Cheese or 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, fries, a 'first-of-its-kind' collectible souvenir, and the brand-new Mt. McDonaldland Shake — an ode to one of the land's major landmarks.
The Mt. McDonaldland Shake 'offers a secret concoction as enchanting as the world itself' and is inspired by the blue lava and pink clouds of the mythical volcano.
Each meal comes with a tin of collectibles that includes postcards and stickers recognizing the McDonald's characters, 'because no trip is complete without a souvenir.' Fans have the chance to collect six exclusive collectibles.

Snapchat Launches ‘McDonaldland' AR Experience
This story was originally published on Social Media Today. To receive daily news and insights, subscribe to our free daily Social Media Today newsletter. With McDonald's looking to expand its digital footprint in new and interactive ways, Snapchat's partnering with the fast-food giant on a new activation, which will see its 'McDonaldland' experience rendered via a range of Snap AR Lenses. Beginning this week, Snapchat will be hosting various custom Lens experiences which will all link into McDonald's broader 'McDonaldland' promotion, with the main Lens, activated when you're in-store, transforming your surroundings into the fantasy McDonaldland. The activation will use Snap's AR tools to render the AR overlay on your real world scene, providing an engaging gateway into the experience. The activation will also include a range of themed games on Snap, including 'Grimace Island Dash,' 'Fry Frenzy,' and 'Birdie's Dream Flight.' Snap users will also be able to access a McDonaldland Map, which will provide an overview of the broader McDonaldland digital experience, and will include your Bitmoji character on the map display. And of course, there's also an IRL element, with a special 'McDonaldland Meal,' which includes a special souvenir kit that, when scanned with the Snap camera, will also open up another interactive AR element. The Snapchat activation is part of a broader McDonaldland promotion, which will also see McDonald's launching web, gaming and VR experiences. The McDonald's marketing team are seemingly looking to stay up on the latest digital developments, by experimenting with a range of options, though the campaign does seem more aimed towards younger kids, and not the teens who are more likely to be active on Snap. But then again, the nostalgia of it will likely generate interest either way, while parents can also show their kids, if they choose. Really, it seems like McDonald's is just seeing what Snap, and Meta's VR team can offer in terms of more immersive, interactive promotions, and both companies have now provided these experiences as a means to showcase their evolving systems. Which is also interesting for marketers outside of McDonald's, as it could also help you understand what's possible on a broad scale, and how these systems are developing for brand activations. Snapchat's McDonaldland experience will be available in the Lens carousel once you're in the vicinity of a McDonald's store (in the U.S.), while you can also search for them in the app. Recommended Reading Snap Launches AR Enterprise Services Platform to Power Third-Party AR Experiences

I Tried the New McDonaldland Meal for Adults, With Its Bizarre Pink and Blue Shake
McDonald's continues to capitalize on the love of its customers for the company's goofy history. Recently, Happy Meals included McDonald's-themed toys -- such as drink machines, fryers and trays with food on them -- delivered in mini-Happy Meal boxes. And the much-longed-for Snack Wraps finally returned after a viral fan campaign. Now, McDonald's has introduced the McDonaldland Meal, which goes straight after that market of adults who have a nostalgic feeling for the Golden Arches. And it comes with a shake in colors like you've never seen before. The McDonaldland Meal came out on Aug. 12, and I grabbed one at my local McD. It's not cheap -- here in high-cost-of-living Seattle, the medium meal was $16.59 and the large was $18.29. You can choose from a quarter pounder with cheese or a 10-piece McNugget order. It also comes with the chain's famous French fries and your choice of drink. But the specialty drink that's made to go with the meal is called the Mt. McDonaldland shake, and it's a blazing blue color, topped with hot pink whipped cream. Unlike the Happy Meal, the McDonaldland Meal is made for adults. Gael Fashingbauer Cooper/CNET You know what regular McDonald's food tastes like, but you've perhaps never had this flavor of shake before. McDonald's teases in its press release that it's "up to you to discover the surprise flavor." (You can order the shake without the meal if you just want to try it.) I braced myself for a super-sugary shake that I'd take one sip of, and then dump out. But I was surprised. It was an acceptable flavor that I drank about half of. Sweet, yes, but not mouth-puckeringly so. There was a vague fruit flavor that I couldn't exactly nail down. Maybe cotton candy? Maybe blue raspberry? Maybe both of those, mixed? I would not order the Mt. McDonaldland shake again, but it's a fun, colorful twist for a one-time purchase. If you don't want to try it, you can choose a regular drink or another flavor of shake with your McDonaldland meal. I sampled the hot pink whipped cream by itself, and it seemed to have no flavor, so maybe they just took regular whipped cream and dyed it pink. Nostalgic characters from McDonald's advertising are displayed on the small tins included in the meals. Gael Fashingbauer Cooper/CNET Instead of a simple toy, the McDonaldland Meal comes with a 5-by-7-inch tin with one of the McDonaldland mascot characters on it. I ended up with Hamburglar, who, after Grimace, would probably have been my choice. Tins come embossed with Hamburglar, Grimace, Ronald McDonald, Mayor McCheese, Birdie the Early Bird and the Fry Guys. Honestly, I'm not sure what anyone would do with this tin, but it was definitely a classier included item than most of the Happy Meal toys. Inside the tin is a card with a code you can scan to explore McDonaldland online, an ID card for your particular character, two postcards and four stickers. One of my stickers said "robble robble," the Hamburglar's favorite saying, and one read, "Keep up! Hamburglar and I are mid-heist." I can't really imagine anyone putting these on their water bottle or laptop, but to each their own. Honestly, unless McDonald's nostalgia is your thing, I'd recommend you just stick to ordering your usual at the Golden Arches, and skipping the meal. But if you just don't get enough blue and pink food in your life -- and who does? -- try the Mt. McDonaldland shake once, pass it around to let your friends guess the flavor, and then go back to chocolate or another good old standard flavor.
