Anaconda secures $150 million to advance AI technology

Arabian Post Staff -Dubai US-based artificial intelligence company Anaconda, Inc. has raised $150 million in a Series C funding round, marking a significant milestone in its expansion plans. Mubadala Capital, the asset management arm of Abu Dhabi's Mubadala Investment Company, is among the key investors. This round, led by US software investor Insight Partners, aims to accelerate Anaconda's growth, focusing on new AI capabilities, strategic acquisitions, and expanding into new markets. The company, founded in 2012, is dedicated to advancing AI with open-source tools, providing an essential framework for developers, data scientists, and engineers globally. Anaconda's mission is to drive large-scale AI adoption through its platform, which has gained significant traction in the AI and machine learning ecosystems. ADVERTISEMENT As of July 2025, Anaconda has reported over $150 million in annual recurring revenue, reflecting its increasing dominance in the industry. The company's software solutions cater to an expanding customer base, including organisations looking to incorporate AI into their operational frameworks. The funding will primarily support Anaconda's continued product innovation, along with its push to enhance its presence in international markets. Anaconda's unique selling proposition lies in its open-source tools that democratise access to advanced AI and ML frameworks. With a strong developer community and a rich ecosystem of libraries and tools, Anaconda has become synonymous with Python and R-based data science solutions. The company's efforts in open-source software are in line with a broader industry trend, where collaboration and knowledge sharing are key to driving innovation. The involvement of Mubadala Capital underscores the growing interest of Middle Eastern investors in global tech startups. Mubadala has a long history of investing in transformative companies, particularly in the technology and innovation sectors. By supporting Anaconda, Mubadala is positioning itself at the forefront of AI's global expansion. In addition to the capital infusion, Anaconda aims to make strategic acquisitions to broaden its portfolio of AI technologies. As AI becomes increasingly critical across industries—from healthcare and finance to manufacturing and entertainment—the demand for robust, scalable AI platforms continues to rise. Anaconda's focus will likely extend to acquiring complementary AI firms that enhance its platform's capabilities, particularly in specialised areas like natural language processing, deep learning, and AI-driven data analytics. The Series C funding is a testament to the growing confidence in Anaconda's potential to shape the future of AI. The company's ability to secure such a significant investment speaks to the strength of its market position and the value placed on its open-source model. Insight Partners, a prominent software investor, has a track record of backing companies that disrupt traditional industries with innovative technologies. This partnership reflects the increasing recognition of Anaconda's role in enabling AI adoption at scale. Despite the ongoing challenges faced by the tech industry, such as regulatory scrutiny and the need for robust data privacy protocols, Anaconda has shown resilience in its business model. The company has consistently demonstrated the scalability and flexibility of its products, which cater to a wide range of use cases. From startups to large enterprises, Anaconda's platform has become a go-to solution for developing AI applications efficiently. As Anaconda expands its reach, it will need to navigate the evolving landscape of AI regulations, which continue to shift globally. In markets such as Europe and North America, there is growing concern over the ethical implications of AI and data privacy. The company's ability to address these concerns while continuing to innovate will be crucial to its long-term success. The funding will also enable Anaconda to strengthen its partnerships with key tech firms and expand its network of collaborators. As AI technology continues to evolve, Anaconda's role in shaping its future will likely be central to the wider conversation on AI governance and ethics. By partnering with other tech leaders, Anaconda can continue to push the boundaries of what's possible with open-source AI technology, ensuring it remains at the forefront of the AI revolution.

ARK Invest scoops up Coinbase, BitMine shares amid stock dips

ARK Invest has seized the recent stock market dip to boost its stakes in major US crypto exchange Coinbase and Bitcoin miner BitMine Immersion Technologies. The Cathie Wood-led firm added a total of 94,678 shares of Coinbase (COIN) across three of its funds, including the ARK Innovation ETF (ARKK), ARK Next Generation Internet ETF (ARKW) and ARK Fintech Innovation ETF (ARKF), according to trade notifications seen by Cointelegraph. The purchase, worth around $30 million, came as Coinbase stock plunged 16.7% on Friday, closing at $314.69, its worst single-day performance in recent months. COIN hit an intraday low of $310.55, significantly below its 52-week high of $444.64, according to data from Google Finance. ARK Invest's renewed buying of Coinbase shares comes after a period of steady selling. On Monday, ARKW sold 18,204 shares of Coinbase, worth nearly $7 million based on Monday's closing price of $379.49. ARK Invest acquires more BitMine shares ARK Invest also ramped up its position in BitMine Immersion Technologies (BMNR), purchasing 540,712 shares across ARKK, ARKW, and ARKF, an estimated $17 million buy. The buying came as BMNR stock tumbled 8.55% to close at $31.68, hitting an intraday low of $30.30 during a choppy trading session, according to data from Google Finance. Notably, ARK Invest has been consistently adding BitMine. The firm purchased over $20 million worth of BMNR shares across three of its actively managed ETFs on Monday, which followed a $182 million BitMine buy last week. The buying spree comes on the heels of BitMine's aggressive pivot into Ether. StrategicEtherReserves shows BitMine as the largest Ether treasury firm with 625,000 Ether, followed by SharpLink Gaming with 438,200 ETH. Wall Street sinks amid weak jobs data US stocks fell sharply on Friday, marking a rough start to August as investors reacted to disappointing economic data and newly adjusted tariff policies under President Trump, according to CNBC. The Dow slid 542 points, its steepest drop since mid-June, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq posted their worst days in months. The latest jobs report revealed a sharp slowdown in hiring, with just 73,000 jobs added in July, well below expectations. Revisions to May and June data showed even weaker growth than previously reported, pointing to a labor market that has been quietly deteriorating. Bank stocks led the decline as concerns mounted over a cooling economy and reduced loan demand. JPMorgan lost over 2%, while Bank of America and Wells Fargo each dropped more than 3%. Industrial giants like GE Aerospace and Caterpillar also closed lower. Source:

Bearish Arthur Hayes says Bitcoin could retrace to $100K on macro headwinds

Maelstrom Fund chief investment officer Arthur Hayes has warned that mounting macroeconomic pressures could drag Bitcoin back down to the $100,000 level — and he's already taken crypto profits in anticipation. Hayes linked the recent crypto pullback to renewed tariff fears sparked by the disappointing Non-Farm Payrolls report, which showed just 73,000 new jobs added in the US in July — a sign of economic fragility. Hayes also pointed to sluggish credit growth in major economies stunting nominal gross domestic product growth in warning that Bitcoin and Ether could fall further toward the $100,000 and $3,000 levels. Hayes sold over $13M of ETH, ENA and PEPE His comments on Saturday came in response to an X post from blockchain analytics platform Lookonchain, which highlighted that Hayes recently offloaded $8.32 million worth of ETH, $4.62 million of Ethena and $414,700 of the Pepe memecoin. The Hayes' wallet that carried out the recent selloffs now holds $28.3 million worth of tokens, with $22.95 million parked in the USDC stablecoin, according to Arkham Intelligence data. Bitcoin on the verge of a double digit correction Hayes' comments echo wider fears that macro headwinds could stall crypto's momentum. Tight credit, renewed tariffs and a softening job market may pressure risk-on assets, testing investor conviction and potentially triggering a correction. Bitcoin has fallen over 7.7% from the $123,000 all-time high it set on July 14, while Ether is down 12.5% since eclipsing the $3,900 barrier on July 28, CoinGecko data shows. A Bitcoin price drop to $100,000 would mark an 18.7% correction. Bitcoiners say it's different this time However, many industry analysts think Bitcoin is past the days of major double-digit pullbacks. Among them is Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas, who noted that since BlackRock's spot Bitcoin ETF filing in June 2023, Bitcoin has experienced 'much less volatility and no vomit-inducing drawdowns.' Mitchell Askew, head analyst of Bitcoin mining firm Blockware Solutions added: 'The days of parabolic bull markets and devastating bear markets are over.' Source:
