Australian pop star Kylie Minogue has postponed a run of European shows, having 'succumbed to a viral infection' after completing the UK leg of her tour.
The Padam Padam singer, 57, performed more than a dozen shows in the country as part of her Tension Tour, with her final date a performance at Glasgow's OVO Hydro on June 6.

On Friday, Minogue said in a social media post that she would postpone her upcoming shows in Germany, Poland, Lithuania and Estonia due to her contracting laryngitis, an inflammation of the voice box.

'Hi Lovers, as some of you may know, a week ago we finished the UK leg of The Tension Tour', she said.
'I made it over the finish line (Yay) but unfortunately have succumbed to a viral infection (Hello laryngitis) I've tried my best to recover fast to start our next run of shows on Monday but I'm afraid it will take me some days to be well enough to get back on stage and perform my best for you.

'I'm so, SO sorry! I have no choice but to postpone the shows in Berlin, Lodz, Kaunas and Tallinn as scheduled.
'Please keep hold of your tickets, we're doing our very best to reschedule the dates and will update you very soon on that.
'Thank you for understanding – you know I love you all. And I LOVE THIS SHOW! And I'll miss you next week. And, I can't wait to see you. Love Kylie xxx'.

In 2024, Tension II, a sequel to her 2023 studio album, saw Minogue secure her 10th number one on the UK albums chart.
Also in 2024, she took home the global icon gong at the Brit Awards and won the best pop dance recording Grammy for her hit Padam Padam.

The worried star, who has been battling pneumonia, has since beefed up security with 24-hour guard dog patrols. Family and friends have kept her company. A source told The Sun on Sunday: 'Gemma was left shaken and very scared for her safety after she received a threatening and abusive letter from a man expressing his extreme dislike for her and using menacing language. 'It was really nasty and made reference to tracking her down, so she called the police straight away. 'It was alarming that this man knew her home address, but she already upped security and has round-the-clock guard dogs and has cameras onsite. 'She is always incredibly friendly with all her fans and happy to stop for pictures and a chat so to have someone send such an unpleasant letter has really shocked her. 'She was very grateful to the police, who are taking it very seriously and have given her practical advice on how to handle herself. It is an ongoing investigation. 'She thought about what had happened to Holly Willoughby and her kidnap threat ordeal so didn't want to take any chances. 'Police are confident they are going to track down the culprit.' Gemma, who lives with businessman fiancé Rami Hawash, told a podcast in May how she has had multiple stalkers over the years. They had threatened to kill her and sent 'terrifying' letters to her boutique in Brentwood. Watch hilarious moment Gemma Collins launches bid to become a DAME as she sets sights on royal nod She told how it 'played havoc on her mind' and was the reason she stepped away from front of house work. Gemma said: 'No one would believe the bl**dy crap I've had to deal with. I've had a woman stalker who wrote me a letter in white gloves and wanted to kill me. You know, people would wish me dead. I'd get all sorts at the shop. Weird. 'People are weird. And that's why in a way I came away from my shop in the end.' In 2019 The Sun revealed she had called in police over fears she was being hounded by a stalker. Gemma claimed she had seen a man who previously verbally abused her outside her home over six days. The scares have even made her consider a move away from Essex. 4 Gemma, who lives with partner Rami Hawash, says she has had to deal with mutiple stalkers Credit: Click News and Media Gemma, a contestant in 2019's Dancing On Ice, has previously spoken of her love of the countryside, saying: 'The only way is the Cotswolds for me.' Earlier this month she revealed her battle with pneumonia, showing pictures of herself with a drip in her arm. She said: 'It's shocking, I've had it for over three weeks and had steroids given to me by my doctor. 'It was DJ Fat Tony's wedding and I had to take them to get through that. But I'm off them now and the sickness is kicking back in. 'It's so frustrating because I normally have so much energy and I'm always loving life. But now I get really breathless really quickly and I feel like I'm dying.' Last week it emerged she is in talks to join I'm A Celebrity: All Stars in South Africa — despite quitting the Australian jungle after just three days of the main series in 2014. Essex Police said they were aware of Gemma's report. 4 Gemma recently shared a message laying out her health fears, telling fans she is getting out of breath quickly Credit: Instagram

Duke and Duchess of Sussex hire new agency in PR staff shake-up

Harry and Meghan have turned to US-based Method Communications to promote their business and philanthropic endeavours after several members of their team reportedly departed. Kyle Boulia, their Los Angeles-based deputy press secretary, and Charlie Gipson, who had been serving as the couple's European communications director, are among those who are said to have left the couple, the Mail Online reports. Meredith Maines, the chief communications officer to Harry and Meghan, is overseeing the revamp which she said will swell the ranks of the Sussex PR machine from two members of staff to 'an agency support staff of eight'. She said: 'As the duke and duchess's business and philanthropic interests grow, I have made the strategic decision to move toward a more traditional communications structure of specialist agency support, as previously reported in Forbes and PR Week several weeks ago. 'Transitioning from a team of two to an agency support staff of eight, operating across five different time zones, will give international media and stakeholders better access, and critically, faster response times to inquiries.' The couple's business portfolio include Meghan's lifestyle brand As Ever, launched in April this year; their media production company, Archewell Productions; and a multi-project deal with Netflix. Harry, 40, and Meghan, 43, announced they were stepping back as working members of the royal family on January 8 2020. The couple have since been at the centre of tensions with other royals, with the duke becoming estranged from his father, the King, and his brother, the Prince of Wales. In a recent television interview, Harry said he 'would love a reconciliation' with the royal family, claiming Charles will not speak to him and expressing concern that he does not know 'how much longer my father has'. In that same BBC interview, Harry complained his loss of a legal challenge over his UK security was a 'stitch-up', adding that he felt 'let down'. Harry and Meghan were told following their departure from the royal family that they would not be able to retain the full-time police protection granted to the royals. The Sussexes would instead receive a 'bespoke' security service, whereby they would be required to give 30 days' notice of any plans to travel to the UK, with each visit being assessed for threat levels and whether protection is needed. Last month, Harry lost his Court of Appeal challenge over his security arrangements while in the UK and said, in the TV interview following the decision, he 'can't see a world in which I would be bringing my wife and children back to the UK'. Earlier this month, the duchess posted a video of herself twerking in a bid to bring on labour while pregnant with Princess Lilibet. In the clip, a heavily pregnant Meghan is shown dancing in a hospital room to the Starrkeisha song Baby Momma, alongside the Duke of Sussex. Meghan posted on her Instagram to celebrate Lili's fourth birthday on Wednesday, writing: 'Four years ago today, this also happened. 'Both of our children were a week past their due dates … so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn't work – there was only one thing left to do!' The candid video, which runs for more than a minute, also features Harry, who is seen dancing in and out of the frame. The couple were also noticeably absent from the Trooping the Colour parade on Saturday. It is the third year in a row the Sussexes were not present at the event.
