Amazon slashes price of Samsung Galaxy Watch to rival Samsung in flash deal
The Samsung Galaxy Watch6 Classic has been reduced by more than £120 in Amazon's latest offer
Amazon is taking on Samsung with a significant price cut on the Galaxy Watch in a deal exclusive to Prime Members. The Samsung Galaxy Watch6 Classic, originally priced at £369, has been slashed to £237.
This discounted price is available for Amazon Prime members or those who sign up for a 30-day free trial of Prime, with further discounts available on the standard Galaxy Watch7 (now £244, was £319). According to Samsung, the Watch6 Classic takes inspiration from the 'iconic design' of diving watches and features a 1.3" AMOLED display protected by Sapphire Crystal glass to prevent scratches.
Available in either silver or black, this stainless steel watch has an IP68 and 5atm water-resistance rating, along with a rotating bezel for easy selection of apps and functions. It also offers heart rate, blood pressure and sleep monitoring, as well as tracking over 90 different workouts including running, walking and cycling.
Additional features include making calls, sending texts and streaming music directly from the watch. The watch's fast-charge feature can power up to 45% battery life in 30 minutes, while a full charge provides up to 40 hours of use, reports the Express.
It's compatible with smartphones running Android 10 or above and offers 16GB of storage for ample app space. For shoppers who prefer to spread the cost, Sky Mobile offers both the Galaxy Watch6 Classic and Galaxy Watch7 for monthly payments of £13 and £9, respectively.
Yet, it's important to note that these premium prices come with a 36-month contract tie-in. The Samsung Galaxy Watch6 Classic has garnered a 4.5-star rating from 393 Amazon reviews, with 89% of those being four or five stars.
A customer shared: "Samsung at its best. Lovely watch, does far more than I would have imagined.
"[It] syncs great with my Samsung phone and apps, comfortable wear, good battery life – I've got over two days, use with the screen constantly lit. Glad I took the plunge and bought one, looks great as well."
Another buyer added: "What a fabulous smartwatch. The strap is comfortable and soft and the movement of the bezel is smooth and effortless. I like answering calls and talking without having to open my mobile phone.
"This watch is a godsend if you are into health and fitness, and the easily accessible health apps are at your fingertips. Some might find the watch to be heavy on the wrist, but I find it to be OK."
However, despite their five-star review, the same buyer added: 'On the negative side, the battery isn't lasting as long as I thought it would. I am charging it at least twice a day, which is disappointing. I'm certainly enjoying wearing this watch, and I think it is a good price.'
But more happy customers have hailed the Watch6 Classic as 'versatile', 'well built' and 'great for sports and health tracking', with others noting its 'great' battery life.

The Amazon iPad vs Fire HD tablet showdown might seem unfair at first – but both devices are consistently among Amazon's top-selling tablets for a reason. And while they're aimed at different types of users, they each offer serious value in their category. In fact, both models are flying off the shelves. The Apple iPad 11-inch (A16 chip) has shipped over 3,000 units in the past month on Amazon alone – and right now, it's down to £309.97, a full £30 cheaper than buying direct from Apple. The Amazon Fire HD 8 has also proved a huge hit, with more than 2,000 units bought in the past 30 days. At just £99.99, it's one of the most accessible tablets out there – and it was recently refreshed for 2024 with upgraded specs. For casual streaming and on-the-go use: Fire HD 8 wins on price and simplicity The Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet offers 13 hours of battery life, more RAM, and supports apps like Netflix, Kindle and Disney+. | Amazon The Fire HD 8 isn't pretending to be a powerhouse. It's designed for casual, everyday use: watching Netflix, playing Candy Crush, reading the Kindle app or making video calls via Alexa or Zoom. This latest version has a brighter 8-inch HD screen, 3GB of RAM (up from 2GB), and up to 13 hours of battery life. There's 32GB of internal storage – with support for microSD cards up to 1TB if you want to expand it cheaply. Amazon's Appstore supports most of the everyday apps you'll want (Facebook, TikTok, Spotify, etc), though you won't get official Google Play access. And if you're buying it mainly for the kids, the Fire HD tablets still support parental controls, profiles and add-ons like Amazon Kids+. You'll have to accept Amazon's 'with ads' option on the lock screen to get that £99.99 price – or pay extra for the ad-free version. For multitasking, creative work and laptop replacement: the iPad has it all The new Apple iPad 11-inch delivers powerful multitasking with stunning visuals, perfect for everything from digital art to reading and productivity. | Apple While the Fire HD is built around media and simplicity, the iPad is a fully-fledged productivity and creativity machine. The 11-inch Liquid Retina screen is pin-sharp and colour-accurate, making it ideal for sketching, editing photos, or simply enjoying ultra-HD Netflix. The A16 Bionic chip means it's lightning fast – whether you're multitasking across split-screen apps or editing video. Support for the Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard Folio turns the iPad into an all-in-one notebook replacement, particularly for students, designers, and remote workers. And with 128GB of base storage, there's far more room to work, download, and play than on cheaper alternatives. You also get Wi-Fi 6, better cameras (12MP front and rear), USB-C charging and Apple's typical premium build. It weighs just 0.77kg and fits into any bag, making it great for travel and on-the-go productivity. Verdict: they're aimed at totally different users – but both are worth the money If all you need is a tablet for light browsing, books, videos and calls – and you'd rather save £200 – the Fire HD 8 is a top pick. It's basic but reliable, and perfect as a travel companion or gift. But if you need a device that can handle real work – writing, drawing, meetings, media creation – the new iPad is in a different league. And given it's £30 off Apple's own price right now, it's a rare chance to save on a device that rarely gets discounts. Final thoughts Both tablets are clearly striking a chord with shoppers – with thousands sold in the past month alone. Whether you're looking for an affordable Netflix companion or a sleek workhorse, the right pick depends on how you plan to use it. Save more than £100 on a best-selling Shark vacuum in Amazon flash deal
The Shark Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner with Anti Hair Wrap has been reduced from £279.99 to £179.51 Amazon has cut the price of a top-selling Shark vacuum cleaner in a fresh deal. Shark's Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner with Anti Hair Wrap has dropped from £279.99 to £179 for a limited time only – that works out as a saving of 36%. The Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner is currently leading the pack in Amazon's Stick Vacuums and Electric Brooms category, with more than 1,000 units shifted in the past month alone. Shark's own-brand website also rolled out an offer on the same device, where it was on sale for £249.99. However, the cleaner is currently out of stock on Shark's website and isn't available to buy right now. The vacuum cleaner is perfect for pet-friendly homes as it features Shark's signature Anti Hair Wrap Technology, engineered to separate and remove both long and short hair from the motorised brush-roll during cleaning, reports Devon Live. It has two floor modes for tackling carpet and hard floors, and is equipped with bright LED headlights in the floorhead to illuminate hidden dirt. It can operate for up to 40 minutes, with a battery light indicator showing how much charge remains, while its flexible wand allows for easier cleaning underneath furniture. The attachments include a crevice tool, a multi-surface tool and a pet tool. The cleaner has earned a stellar 4.5-star rating from more than 5,000 Amazon reviews – 91% of which are either awarded four or five stars. Shark's Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner matches Dyson's V11 Advanced in performance, which retails at a steeper £349.99 (usually £429.99), yet comes with a complimentary 'Floor Dok' valued at £100. Another option is Hoover's 4.4-star rated HF4 Cordless Vacuum, boasting anti-hair wrap technology and a pet tool, for £169, which was £249. But for Amazon shoppers, the Shark stick vacuum takes the cake for being 'easy to use' and having 'excellent suction'. Another customer said: "Very impressed. Most of my home is carpeted and previous cordless models have been pretty useless." They continued: "I find this to be very good suction, easy to manoeuvre and I like how it will automatically change to hard floors in kitchen and bathroom. It lasted 45 minutes on a full charge and not too heavy for me at 76 – can carry upstairs easily." Another commented: "Bought this to replace a Dyson cordless. My daughter has long hair and we were forever cutting this off the Dyson brush roller but so far we haven't had any hair stuck on the Shark roller. On hard floors it picks up the larger items that the Dyson wouldn't." The same customer pinpointed a drawback, adding: "The only slight negative compared to the Dyson is it doesn't quite clean as close to the edge as the Dyson, but I find the tools much easier to remove and fit." A final shopper concluded: "Easy to use with plenty of suction power to remove dog and cat hairs off carpets. An excellent vacuum. It is well balanced, has excellent suction and certainly picks up the dirt and dog hair well. "My first thought was that it seemed heavy, but it is well balanced and easy to use. It got dog hair out of my carpet, I didn't even realise was there. A really good vacuum."
