Hope School learner competes for SA at World Wheelchair Basketball Championship

Born with Proximal Femoral Focal Deficiency, a rare condition affecting the growth of the lower limbs, Sicelimpilo has faced many challenges from a young age. After struggling in mainstream schools due to limited accessibility, he joined Hope School in Grade 7, where he found the support and understanding he needed.
In Grade 8, he was introduced to wheelchair basketball and quickly fell in love with the sport. With hard work and commitment, he earned a place in the national U23 team, competing in Egypt, Libya, and, most recently, Brazil. 'Sport has taught me discipline, and that I don't have to do everything alone.'
Now back home, Sicelimpilo hopes to inspire other young people living with disabilities. He dreams of growing his sporting career and raising awareness about inclusion and accessibility. 'Having a disability isn't the end; it's just the beginning of doing things differently.'

On Wednesday the Stormers updated their socials with what appears to be a new logo, and a new vision. While the Stormers' website revamp is ongoing, the club's latest press release is titled 'In it together: A bold new identity for the DHL Stormers.' A new video promo was uploaded to the Stormers' Facebook and Instagram accounts, aligning with this new tagline and including the new logo. One only had to dip into the comments section however to gauge public sentiment over the new branding. 'Whoever voted for this final design….and signed off on it is laughing in all 11 SA languages,' said one Facebook user. Another wrote 'Someone who passed with 30% must've got a tender to design this logo.' Kaizer Chiefs: FIVE players set to make their Amakhosi DEBUTS
Kaizer Chiefs recently handed some of their new signings their Amakhosi debuts. These men are next. Kaizer Chiefs handed first team debuts to Thabiso Monyane and Siphesihle Ndlovu. Meaning, two of Amakhosi's SEVEN new signings have made their debuts. So, FIVE more Chiefs debuts are on the cards for their new signings. Nkanyiso Shinga, Flavio Silva, Ethan Chislett, Paseko Mako and Asanele Velebayi are set to make their Chiefs debuts during the 2025/26 season. Former Orlando Pirates defender, Monyane made his Amakhosi debut when he started for Chiefs during their 1-0 victory over Stellenbosch FC in the opening round of the BetWay Premiership. Meanwhile, Ndlovu made his debut when he came off of the bench against Stellies. However, as mentioned, Shinga, Silva, Chislett and Mako did not play. Meaning, they're set to make their Amakhosi debuts soon. Likewise, Velebayi, who was recently unveiled by Chiefs, will too. Meanwhile, Amakhosi were spotted with a new coach on the sidelines. Interestingly, Chiefs management are unhappy over Nasreddine Nabi and they are set to hold key talks over his future – here is the latest. Furthermore, Chiefs have completed 18 deals. Amakhosi have 11 new players – SEVEN signings and FOUR players have been promoted. These THREE players from PSL rivals are close to joining Chiefs. However, what goes up must come down. Watch Gallants goal that broke the hearts of Orlando Pirates fans
Orlando Pirates suffered their second successive league defeat of the season at the hands of Marumo Gallants on Tuesday. The Buccaneers travelled to Bloemfontein eager to bounce back from their 1-0 defeat to Sekhukhune United last weekend. Abdeslam Ouaddou made changes to the Pirates team that lost to Sekhukhune United with one eye on Saturday's MTN8 semifinal clash against Mamelodi Sundowns. And those changes proved effective, at least in the early stages of the first half as Pirates threw everything at Gallants. Patrick Maswanganyi opened the scoring with a clean finish in the 16th minute, but Gallants equalised just before the break through Daniel Msendami. In fact, the Soweto giants should have, at least, been three or four goals up at half-time by their finishing let them down. Bahlabane Ba Ntwa showed resilience in the second half of the game, and they were rewarded deep in stoppage time as substitute Jaisen Clifford scored the winner that broke the hearts of Bucs fans. The defeat has seen a section of Pirates fans call for the sacking of Ouaddou, with Jose Riveiro begged to return to the club.
