Ben Affleck embraced dad duty as he spent quality time with two of his children as they enjoyed lunch together in Santa Monica on Friday. The 53-year-old Oscar winner - whose ex Jennifer Lopez recently posed up a storm for a sultry snap - was joined by Fin, 16, and Samuel, 13, to grab a bite to eat at a local restaurant. The actor shares the two teens as well as daughter Violet, 19, with ex-wife Jennifer Garner - whom he was married to from 2005 until their divorce in 2018. Affleck kept it casual wearing a white button up as well as a pair of khaki pants and comfy sneakers. The trio also appeared to stop by a bakery called Huckleberry in the same area, with the Hollywood star carrying a paper bag from the eatery. He was seen strolling closely next to Fin and Samuel as they began to head to their next destination. Affleck has been spending time with his kids before school starts and was also spotted on a father-son outing with Samuel last month in July. At the time, the pair visited a mall with the actor's German Shepherd also tagging along for the daytime excursion. The same month, the Good Will Hunting actor played the doting family man as he joined ex Jennifer Garner and their kids at a baseball game in Boston. He attended a Red Sox match as he traveled to the state of Massachusetts where he grew up and sat next to Garner as well as Fin and Samuel at Fenway Park. Affleck was born in California, but relocated with his family to Massachusetts where they eventually settled in the city of Cambridge - which is just north west of the city of Boston. Despite their split, both Affleck and Garner have maintained a positive relationship while raising their three children. Earlier in March, the star also made loving remarks towards Garner during an interview with GQ. He reflected on his divorce from Jennifer Lopez as well as his bond with Garner following their own split. 'I'm really lucky that I have a really good co-parent and partner in Jennifer Garner, the kids' mom, who's wonderful and great and we work together well,' Affleck told the outlet. Ben also settled his divorce from Jennifer Lopez in January - after she had filed in August 2024 on their second wedding anniversary. But the former couple have been facing struggles when it came to selling their $68 million Beverly Hills mansion. The pair initially purchased the property in cash for $60.8 million in May 2023, and listed the sprawling estate in July of last year. Back in April, sources told TMZ that Affleck was eager to lower the price of the house while Lopez was not ready to do so - despite there not being much interest in the abode. 'Jennifer thinks they can get more money for the home, so she wants to keep the price as is. But the real estate market is not there and it's not selling,' one insider told Us Weekly. In May, it was revealed that the two stars slashed the price on the mansion - which was dropped by $8 million. Despite cutting the price, Affleck and Lopez made the decision to completely take the home off the market last month in July. 'While they've been hoping to sell the property, they've also been hesitant to take a big loss,' a source told People at the time. 'They lowered the price to get more interest and when this didn't happen, they were advised to take it off the market. It was a business decision that they made together.' The insider further expressed, 'It's a rough sellers market and especially for that price point. Taking it off the market until it's more of a seller friendly climate, seems like the smartest decision.' Lopez has also been filtering through a busy summer and recently concluded her Up All Night tour earlier this month on August 12 in Sardinia, Italy. She will take to the stage again later this year as she is set to return to Las Vegas for an upcoming residency also called Up All Night Live. The singer will perform at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on select dates beginning from December 30 through March of next year. Lopez has also taken on a leading role in the upcoming musical drama film Kiss Of The Spider Woman - which was produced by her ex Affleck and also Matt Damon. The mom-of-two took portrays the character of Ingrid Luna/Aurora/The Spider Woman in the project, which was directed by Bill Condon. The movie is an adaptation of the 1976 novel of the same name written by Manuel Puig - and also stars Diego Luna and Tonatiuh. Kiss Of The Spider Woman premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival in January and will officially hit theaters later this year on October 10.

Emmerdale's Ben drops earth-shattering bombshell about Owen as John twist sealed
Emmerdale spoilers have revealed the moment removal man Ben makes a jaw-dropping admission to the police about Nate Robinson's presumed killer Owen amid John Sugden's lies New Emmerdale character Ben makes his return to the ITV soap next week leaving Nate Robinson's loved ones reeling. Fans may recall the character was the removal man who came to collect Nate's belongings from his wife Tracy Robinson, prior to Nate's death being announced. At the time Nate was believed to have moved away and cut off his family, sending removal guy Ben to get his things for him. Now knowing that Nate was murdered, it became apparent to the police that it could not have been Nate who did this, and was likely his killer. It comes after Nate's murderer John Sugden successfully framed a patient called Owen for the crime, leaving him to die after an apparent overdose all so he could make it look like Owen was the killer. Next week Ben shows up in the village leaving Tracy stunned, with her and Nate's loved ones keen to finally see whether or not Owen killed Nate. When an update sees the detective tell Nate's father Cain Dingle that there's been some new evidence, the arrival of Ben sparks more intrigue. Now a new preview has revealed the moment Ben is in the shop with Tracy and Cain, as well as Mackenzie Boyd. The detective on Nate's case is called there and approaches Ben asking him where he's been and why he hasn't come forward. He claims he's been away and hadn't heard about Nate's murder. It then comes out that Tracy has showed Ben a photo of Nate, and Ben is able to confirm it was not him that booked the service or who he met with to hand over the items. The police are keen for Ben to identity whoever it was, believing this will give away who killed Nate. As they open up a file, the show him a picture of Owen. Immediately Ben claims that Owen is the guy he met with and who asked for Nate's belongings, posing as Nate. With that it appears to confirm to the police and Tracy, and the others, that Owen had Nate's stuff removed, and that this likely means he killed Nate. But as a viewer, we know full well that this just isn't adding up, and there has to be something about newcomer Ben. If Ben literally met the person who wanted Nate's belongings, with him now claiming this was Owen, then he would know it was actually John or someone else. Given John had Nate's belongings and he burned them, and he organised the pick-up in the first place, Ben would know it wasn't Owen, the man in the photo. Owen did not kill Nate, fact, and he wasn't even in the village until months later. By the time Owen was on the scene, Ben had been and gone and Nate's death was exposed. So it can't have been Owen and we, the viewer, know that it wasn't as we saw the flashbacks proving John did it, and then we saw him burn the items too. So very clearly here Ben is lying to the police, but why? Unless of course Ben never actually saw anyone, John or not. But that said John wouldn't have known Owen back then to set him up, so there's just no way Ben has seen Owen, and therefore his identification to the police is false.
