British Airways tourist 'vomited on family and spat wine at them' on Heathrow flight
A tourist has been branded the "ultimate passenger from hell" after she allegedly vomited on a family and spat wine at them at 30,000ft.
The British Airways captain had to radio ahead for police to meet the transatlantic flight from London Heathrow to San Diego Airport in California earlier this month after the woman's "inexcusable drunken outrage". Alarmed families had noticed the passenger necking booze from a bottle of wine she had smuggled on board in her hand luggage.
And it is understood she was then served a Chardonnay and a Bloody Mary on Flight BA273, before scenes of "bedlam" broke out. A witness said: "She slugged as much wine as she could, got up from her seat, and intentionally spat the wine swilling around her mouth into their faces. It was disgusting and rancid." The woman continued to hassle the 'petrified' family as she downed drinks, it is reported today.
The unruly tourist is said to have chucked water at the family, mocked them, grabbed the wife's hair and took photos of the passengers. When she'd had her fill of booze, she was violently sick across the appalled trio, The Sun reports.
Speaking to the publication, the witness continued: "It was bedlam. The poor family were so upset and angry - and they had every right to be. The woman was a total disgrace. It was obvious she was completely blotto just minutes into the flight.
"After she was sick the whole cabin stank. It was a nightmare for everyone. She caused a major interruption... She was undoubtedly the ultimate passenger from hell."
The family was moved from the economy section of the plane to the front of the aircraft after the woman vomited. However, tempers frayed with other travellers and the cabin crew had to step in to reportedly give the tourist "a final warning".
Yet, it is understood she was still arrested in the US on August 13 after the plane touched down. FBI operatives detained her and led her away. Staff and passengers provided statements to help the prosecution, it is said.
The Sun reports the woman had claimed it was her birthday and so she was enjoying a "few drinks" to celebrate the occasion. It is unclear if she was travelling alone or with anyone else, and further details, such as the woman's nationality, have not been disclosed at this stage.
British Airways operates a regular flight to and from Heathrow and San Diego Airport, which serves San Diego, Tijuana and other areas. The Mirror has approached British Airways for comment.

Serial romance scammer meets violent end while running across 15 story building with feds in pursuit
A romance scammer who cruised dating apps pretending to be a CIA agent to swindle lonely women out their cash. Shawn Steven Harris, 50, pulled the scam as far back as 2019, convincing his marks to give him tens of thousands of dollars for 'undercover missions'. Instead, he was shopping for high fashion at Bloomingdale's, gourmet food delivery, and even OnlyFans subscriptions on their dime. The callous charmer promised the US Government would reimburse them as they grew more and more desperate as debt collectors circled. But even a fake spy can't hide forever and the FBI was eventually on his trail, getting him indicted by a grand jury on July 24 before they came for him last Friday. Rather than be taken alive in the dawn raid, Harris jumped to his death from his 15th-floor balcony in Alexandria, Virginia, just outside DC, about 6am. The grand jury indictment explained how he met four of his victims on Bumble in 2019 to 2021 and ruthlessly bled them dry. His profiles used seven known aliases: Shawn Martinez, Shaun Martinez, Eric Shun, Gordon Shumway, Shaun Harness, Shaun Moor, and Shaun Womack. Once he'd won them over, he asked for cash and access to their credit cards to finance fictitious missions - giving various explanations as to why. 'It's a Russian Reason,' he told one woman as an explanation for his lavish spending on odd items. 'They're using clothing and other things as a front and OnlyFans for human trafficking and weapons sales. Thru escorts and others.' When he really needed to, he invented a fake boss and a fake assistant whose personas he used to back up his lies. Whenever he needed to disappear, temporarily or permanently, he claimed he was going 'deep undercover' and couldn't contact them. Harris made whatever promises he needed to pry open their wallets - pet dogs, paid off student loans, houses, cars, and paid moving expenses. None of that materialized, and neither did the money they lent to him out of misplaced patriotic duty. There was always some excuse - the mission was taking longer than expected, he didn't have approval yet, they were waiting for updated legislation to pass. 'Stop racking up monies on my credit card mister!' one of his victims pleaded on December 11, 2019, as the debts - and interest - ballooned. Harris replied: 'It's not racking up. It's a trial, lady. And I'm paying for all of this.' 'You best be. I'm broke as broke back mountain,' the woman shot back, but Harris assured her that he 'wouldn't be doing it if I wasn't paying for it'. But she still wasn't reimbursed by April 19, 2020, and was so desperate she was considering dipping into her 401(k) to cover her debts. 'If you take out your 40IK. I will have the gov pay the f**king Penalty,' Harris insisted. Somehow, the situation persisted until January 2021, when the victim was stressed about being in forbearance with SoFi. Another of his victims was a single mother-of-two he met on Bumble in February 2020 and swindled out of tens of thousands of dollars with a promise to 'take care of her kids'. By a year later, she was fed up with not being paid back and vented to Harris' 'assistant' in a long message. 'Really... After 8 months... This is not compensation... This is reimbursement... Does he get this? I know he doesn't give a s**t about me... But f**k where his sense of morality?' she asked. 'The fact I have to beg to get reimbursed is sad.. . F**k all that stm was was f**king takeout every night... Shopping sprees at Bloomingdales... F**king bought 7 pairs of sneakers. 'The funny part is he bragged about being rich... 40Iks and real estate rental properties... And he's struggling to pay back 15k???!?! 'Somethings not adding up... Seriously who takes advantage of a single mom... Honestly if u don't respect me enough to either reimburse me.' The 'assistant' reassured her that she would be paid in full, and soon. But of course, she wasn't. To woo another woman, Harris used the first victim's credit card, of which he was an authorized user, to buy things for her. He told her to 'treat herself' to a manicure, spa day appointment, and buy everything needed to make a Christmas dinner. Then, of course, he convinced her to use her own money to buy him expensive clothes, and never paid her back.

Former US Attorney Catherine Hanaway appointed as Missouri's next attorney general
Former U.S. Attorney Catherine Hanaway was appointed Tuesday as Missouri 's next attorney general, vowing a tough-on-crime approach as her predecessor leaves for a job with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Republican Gov. Mike Kehoe announced Hanaway's appointment just a day after Attorney General Andrew Bailey said he was stepping down to join President Donald Trump 's administration as the FBI's co-deputy director. The change in Missouri's top law enforcement job will take effect Sept. 8. 'Fighting crime is — and will remain — job one for this office' Hanaway said. Hanaway has deep roots in Missouri politics and extensive ties as a private practice attorney to corporate clients that will cause her to recuse from some cases as attorney general. Hanaway first won election to the Missouri House in 1998 and led the GOP takeover of the chamber in the 2002 elections as the state began a gradual transition from a political tossup to a GOP stronghold. She served as Missouri's first and only woman House speaker before losing a bid for secretary of state in 2004. She was appointed the next year by President George W. Bush as U.S. attorney for the eastern district of Missouri, which she held until 2009. She lost a Republican primary for governor in 2016. As a partner at the Husch Blackwell law firm, Hanaway has represented global chemical manufacturer Bayer in lobbying for legislation that would provide a legal shield against mounting claims that it failed to warn customers that its popular Roundup weedkiller can allegedly cause cancer. Husch Blackwell also represents Invenergy, which is attempting to use eminent domain to acquire land for a high-voltage transmission line to carry wind-generated power from Kansas across Missouri and Illinois to an electric grid in Indiana. Bailey has opposed the project, and Hanaway said she will recuse herself as the attorney general's office continues a civil investigation into it. Bailey, a staunch Trump supporter, has served as attorney general since January 2023 and won election last November to a full four-year term. Hanaway said she intends to serve the remainder of Bailey's term and seek election herself in 2028. Bailey brought an aggressive approach to the attorney general's office. He pursued numerous legal challenges against Democratic President Joe Biden's administration on policies ranging from student loan forgiveness to environmental rules, immigration actions and transgender rights measures. He also pursued conservative causes in his home state, threatening legal action against private gyms over bathroom policies, demanding that public schools ban drag shows and defending the state's anti-abortion regulations in the face of a voter-approved constitutional amendment establishing a right to abortion. Hanaway praised Bailey but placed a greater emphasis on criminal cases than civil litigation while talking to reporters Tuesday. Missouri's attorney general job has become a quick stepping stone for aspiring politicians. Less than a year after winning election as attorney general in 2016, Republican Josh Hawley launched a challenge to Democratic U.S. Sen. Claire McCaskill. After Hawley won election to the Senate in 2018, Republican Gov. Mike Parson appointed state Treasurer Eric Schmitt to serve the remainder of Hawley's term. Schmitt won election to his own term as attorney general in 2020, but then quickly announced he was running to replace retiring U.S. Sen. Roy Blunt in the 2022 elections. After Schmitt won the Senate race, Parson appointed Bailey — an Army veteran serving as the governor's general counsel — to fill the remainder of Schmitt's term.

Moment foul-mouthed Jet2 passenger is arrested on flight after squaring up to holidaymakers who cheer him off plane
SHOCKING footage has captured the moment a rowdy passenger was arrested by cops after a flight was diverted to a popular UK airport. The Jet2 flight, which took off from Leeds Bradford at 6.41pm last night, was heading for the Spanish hotspot of Alicante when it had to make a dramatic U-turn just 100 miles in. 5 Chaotic footage shows a rowdy passenger on a plane Credit: Yappapp 5 But the yob was arrested by police as the plane was forced to turn back Credit: Yappapp 5 Another clip taken through a window of the plane showed the man talking to three officers on the tarmac as one appeared to search him Credit: Yappapp The plane was flying above Leicester when a 'disruptive incident' erupted onboard involving a foul-mouthed passenger. Stunned travellers were left fuming as the flight - carrying up to 188 passengers - was delayed by around four hours after the Boeing 737 was forced to return back to Leeds Airport. Footage from onboard shows a 30-year-old man dressed in an orange T-shirt and jeans, smirking and taunting fellow passengers in the aisle. He is then seen shouting: 'Put your phone down and fight one on one.' One passenger had jumped out of their seat, while others could be heard trying to calm the situation, warning the man he'd get kicked off. The yob responded by sticking out his tongue and pounding his chest before going on a foul-mouthed rant. Another traveller tried to reason with fellow holidaymakers: 'Don't rise to it. Let him get chucked off.' Moments later, cheers erupted as uniformed cops stormed the plane at Leeds Bradford. Laughter and jeers rang out as passengers spotted officers boarding, with one saying: 'Look behind ya, lad! Look behind ya, big boy! You w****r!' The troublemaker's cocky grin was wiped clean as he spotted police heading his way. He briefly squared up to another man onboard before passengers began yelling: 'Arrest him now!' Shock moment 'drunk' pilot who 'reeked of booze' is escorted by cops from cockpit moments before takeoff The whole plane broke into applause as he was finally hauled off, with one person shouting: 'In a bit, lad!' Footage from outside the aircraft shows him being spoken to by three officers on the tarmac, with one appearing to search him. Cops confirmed to The Sun that the man was charged with entering an aircraft while drunk. He was bailed to appear before Leeds magistrates on Monday, 8 September. The passenger has also received a six-month flying ban, Jet2 confirmed. The plane was forced to stay on the ground until it eventually took off again at around 11pm, more than four hours after its scheduled departure time. A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson told The Sun: "A 30-year-old man from Doncaster has been charged with entering an aircraft while drunk. "He has been bailed to appear before Leeds magistrates on Monday, 8 September." A Jet2 spokesperson said: "We can confirm that a disruptive passenger has received a six-month flying ban with us, following their appalling behaviour which led to flight LS491 from Leeds Bradford to Alicante having to return to Leeds Bradford so that police could offload them. "As a family friendly airline, we take a zero-tolerance approach to disruptive passenger behaviour." 5 The man was arrested by police after the aircraft returns to Leeds Airport Credit: Yappapp
