Has Good Boy been renewed for Season 2? Here's what we know:

Renewed Or Cancelled? Good Boy is an action-packed K-drama, taking the typical thriller and conspiracy vibes and absolutely running with that, mixed up with an enigmatic group of characters at the helm. If you've been following this one, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here's what we know: What is Good Boy about? After 11 years, the police revive their special recruitment for former national athletes. Once hailed as heroes, these world-class medallists now face harsh realities. Despite financial struggles, unexpected tragedies, and discrimination within the force, the athletes, each with their own story, reunite as a special task force to take on major crimes with the grit and skills they've honed as athletes. We have ongoing coverage of Good Boy across the site including recaps for the season. You can check those out HERE! Has Good Boy been renewed for season 2? At the time of writing, JTBC have not renewed Good Boy for season 2. Given the ratings over the weeks, it'll be interesting to see if they actually do renew this for a follow-up. The ratings began with a respectable 4.8% share nationwide but since then, the show has been increasing in popularity with every passing week, with the later episodes hovering around 6% nationwide. Regardless of ratings, it's extremely rare to find Korean dramas renewed for another season. That has changed in recent years but given the sheer wealth of talent in this that are sure to move onto other projects, we predict that Good Boy will not be renewed for a second season. On top of that, this is billed as a limited series which only has 1 season. We'll be sure to update this section with more details as they become available. What we know about season 2 so far: Barely anything is known about season 2 right now. Given most Korean dramas are reserved to one season, it's rare to find these sort of shows renewed. With the rare exception of ongoing Netflix shows (Love ft. Marriage and Divorce, Hospital Playlist etc.) then it seems unlikely that this one will be renewed. Having said that though, we have seen Taxi Driver and Tale of the Nine Tailed renewed recently, alongside Alchemy of Souls too. Given how steady the ratings are for this series, could we see this one buck the trend? It seems very unlikely that Good Boy will, but you never know! We'll be sure to update this section when we know more. Would you like to see Good Boy return for a second season? Or do you think the story has run its course? Footballers don't have perfect lives

Marc Cucurella has gone from being booed by his own fans to being booed by those of other Premier League teams. The 26-year-old has won over most Chelsea supporters, but it hasn't been easy for a player who suffered injury and had off-field issues after moving from Brighton to Stamford Bridge for £62m three years asked about his journey from unpopular signing to fan favourite, Cucurella said: "It is very good because when I arrived at this club it was difficult and in the beginning we had a lot of changes. The results were difficult. "I'm not a player that has the quality to take the ball and change the game in one action and go past three players. I'm more of a player that needs to have the team playing well to show my qualities. "So at the beginning it was very tough because the team didn't have maybe identity or didn't have a clear way to play. I struggled a little and then I understood that the club paid a lot of money for me so they expect that I'm a machine and I score every game! "The first games [at Chelsea] I don't feel like I enjoyed. When I win, it's very important, but when you join here, it's like, 'you win, OK, it's your job' and you don't celebrate - but that's because I had played for smaller clubs."Cucurella revealed more about his family life in Prime Video docuseries Married to the Game. In one scene, the Spain international is moved to tears, seated alongside his partner Claudia, while detailing how dealing with his son Mateo's autism was initially challenging before his family began to thrive again. "All the people think that you have a perfect life, but we footballers have normal lives and normal problems that all people have," he said. Of the show, he added: "Personally, I didn't expect that people would love it in this way. "I was not nervous but, if things don't go well, people might say, 'He's not focused on football, he's focused on filming this and that'. But it was nice."Cucurella is over his struggles now. He says an injury in December 2023 helped him take stock, adding: "I started to enjoy my journey here after my injury. When I was injured, I was three months out, and then I had a lot of time to think about myself and to know me better and what is good for me and what I needed to work on more. This is probably the moment that changed my career. "I won the last six games with Chelsea [under Mauricio Pochettino], won the Euros and now I am playing my best football."He will hope his form continues when Chelsea face Paris St-Germain in the Club World Cup final in New Jersey on Sunday (20:00 BST)."If we do it, it's amazing because it's the first club to do it," he said. "We will get to wear a world champion badge on our shirt for four years and all people will remember us as the first club to win the trophy [in its new format]."

Robbie Williams movie fans dub 'masterpiece' is streaming now

The film can now be streamed by fans at home Prime Video has quietly added Robbie Williams movie A Better Man which fans have labelled a 'unique masterpiece.' The film released in cinemas in 2024, is now part of the ever changing library on the retail giant's streaming platform as from today (July 12). It is a welcome surprise for many fans who were not expecting its addition on the platform. ‌ According to the synopsis, the movie promises to tell the true story of the meteoric rise, dramatic fall, and remarkable resurgence of British pop superstar Robbie Williams. ‌ Helmed by Michael Gracey, known for also directing the hit musical movie The Greatest Showman, the film is uniquely told from Robbie's perspective, capturing his signature wit and indomitable spirit. It follows Robbie's journey from childhood, to being the youngest member of chart-topping boyband Take That, through to his unparalleled achievements as a record-breaking solo artist, all the while confronting the challenges that stratospheric fame and success can bring. There is a significant twist however, which was the most talked about aspect of the film during its promotion at the time of its release. That is the fact that the character of Robbie Williams in the film, is portrayed by a CGI monkey. ‌ In fact, the role of Robbie, according to the credits was played by three different performers. Robbie Williams provided narration and some vocals himself. Meanwhile, Jonno Davies provided voiceover and motion capture, Adam Tucker performed additional singing and Carter J. Murphy was the voice for Young Robbie. Despite the confusion surrounding the creative decision to not have the actor's human face on display for their performance as Robbie, the film was a hit with fans and critics upon its release. It has managed an impressive 89% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with its fan score standing at 90%. One critic identified the use of the CGI monkey as a clever selling point. ‌ They argued: "Those willing to take a chance will find a biopic that works because any fears of bad casting have been eliminated. What is left is a production with enough energy and originality to send the film world into a dizzying spin." Another suggested: "Better Man is the best musical of this decade so far". While someone else added: "I loved it so much I had to watch it again the next day, and now I can't get the songs out of my head." One fan claimed: "Better Man is a unique masterpiece. The choreography was superb. The singing and CGI special affects, made this true story come alive. It was a joy to take this journey with a young boy, who was dearly loved and nurtured by his mother and grandmother. Such an inspiring and warm movie. Well done to the team who created such a wonderful cinematic experience." Someone else posted: "A true masterpiece and like nothing you've ever seen. I am a fan of Williams but even a non-devotee would leave appreciating what an absolute marvel this film is, from the music, the epic dance numbers and the acting this biopic is a stunning exploration into the depths of self-loathing to redemption. Lovely."
