Alemao and Careca both won the Serie A title in 1989-90 in the Partenopei team that contained the legend after whom the club's stadium is now named. Lavezzi is also one of Napoli's standout players of the 21st century thanks to his efforts between 2007 and 2012.

Goglichidze possible Leoni replacement at Parma

Parma are hoping to resist the pressure from Inter and Milan to keep hold of Giovanni Leoni, but in case he does leave this summer, Saba Goglichidze is emerging as a potential replacement. Leoni is only 18 years old, but has already made such a big impression in his debut Serie A season that the Ducali are ready to hold out for €40m before letting him go. Just in case any club, and the most likely is Inter, manages to coax him away from the Stadio Tardini, Parma are looking around for suitable heirs. He is not expected to remain at Empoli following their relegation to Serie B, so is just looking for his next destination. There has also been interest from abroad, including the Saudi Pro League, but Parma are keeping an eye on him regardless.

Deadline SET for Liverpool forward deal

Chiesa wanted by Napoli One of those touted for a sale has been Federico Chiesa. The 27-year-old appears to be surplus to requirements following a poor first season on Merseyside. He has been left out of Liverpool's preseason tour as he and his representatives attempt to secure a move away. Several teams in Italy - most notably Atalanta and AC Milan - are reported to be interested in the winger. And now it's emerged that Napoli have not gone away - despite reports that they would be seeking a deal for Dan Ndoye of Bologna instead. Chiesa - along with Jack Grealish and Raheem Sterling - remain on Napoli's radar as a potential Plan B in case a deal for Ndoye cannot be done. July 30 the deadline for Chiesa deal And Antonio Conte's side are seeking to wrap up this transfer quickly. A report in Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Conte wants his squad complete by July 30 for his team's preseason training camp at Castel di Sangro. 'Chiesa hasn't been called up by Liverpool for their tour of Asia, and his time in England already seems to be coming to an end. Napoli could offer him the chance to redeem himself, provided the winger reduces his salary demands,' a report reads. Chiesa is making around £120k per week on a contract until 2028 - and Italian sides have previously been put off by those demands. © IMAGO - Arne Slot Federico Chiesa Liverpool 2024-25 Back in January, plenty of interest in Chiesa materialised from Serie A when it became clear that he was homesick. Despite the attentions of the aforementioned teams - as well as Roma and Inter - Chiesa stayed at Anfield. In all he played only SIX times in the Premier League - to no great effect - and barely impressed in his other outings either. If Liverpool can make back the £12.5m or so they paid to Juventus last September - and a resolution can be found over his wages - then expect to see Chiesa leave as soon as this week.

New Milan offer for Jashari at 35m plus 3m bonus

Fresh details are emerging on the new Milan offer for Ardon Jashari, which will reportedly be worth €35m plus €3m in add-ons to Club Brugge. It remains to be seen if this will be sufficient, but the Rossoneri are increasingly confident that they will get the all clear over the next few days. (Photo by Alex Bierens) There had already been numerous reports that the format of the proposal would change, if not the total figure of circa €38m. That is now confirmed by Sport Mediaset and who note that Milan informed Jashari's intermediaries that a new formal bid is coming this weekend. It is going to be worth €35m as a fixed fee plus €3m in add-ons, an improvement from the previous rejected bid that had only €32m guaranteed and the other €6m in various bonuses. The add-ons should also be quite easy to activate and therefore be practically a guaranteed figure of €38m.
