Beyonce and Jay-Z's huge plans as they buy mega home in Cotswolds
Superstar singer Beyoncé and rapper husband, rapper Jay-Z, are in the process of buying a plot of farmland in the Cotswolds. The US pair sparked rumours of a move to Britain when they were spotted visiting Oxfordshire in June. The Mirror understands Beyoncé, 43, and Jay-Z, 55, are now in the process of sealing the deal for 58 acres with planning permission to build a lavish country retreat.
Last night, a source close to the sale said: 'They were in negotiation on the price, and it isn't on the market any more, which would suggest it's a done deal.'
Architectural drawings obtained exclusively by the Mirror describe the opportunity as a 'spectacular rural estate' offering 'seamless indoor-outdoor living, combining timeless materials with contemporary architecture.' It comes after David Beckham speaks 'as a father' in 'family' announcement after latest Brooklyn snub.
The document continues: 'Meticulously designed to integrate with the natural landscape, the property offers a striking architectural statement, blending contemporary style with sustainable building practices.'
The land, with permission for a lake and woodland, was sold off-market with a guide price of £8.5 million, but it is unclear how much the A-list couple paid. It sits just five minutes from the chocolate box village of Great Tew, close to where a host of celebrities, including the Beckhams, Simon Cowell and former US talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, call home.
Exclusive private members club Soho Farmhouse, which hosted Meghan Markle 's hen do, is a stone's throw away. And posh farm shop Daylesford Organic, visited by US vice president JD Vance earlier this week, is also on the doorstep.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z reportedly visited the land by helicopter earlier this summer during the English leg of her Cowboy Carter World Tour. An insider said at the time: 'In the past week, [the couple] flew between her London gigs to view a 58-acre plot of land.
"Located close to friends Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, and with Simon Cowell and the Beckhams as neighbours, she felt it would be an ideal UK home for her family, away from the city when they're in the country.'
It previously emerged that the couple were keen to put down roots here after Los Angeles was devastated by wildfires earlier this year. A close friend said: 'The wildfires have given them a good reason to look outside of Los Angeles to build new bases. They will always be based in LA, but the UK is on the agenda. Beyonce loves the UK because they support everything she does.'
Beyoncé and Jay-Z, who share twins Rumi and Sir, eight, and older daughter Blue Ivy, 13, aren't the first big US names to relocate to the sleepy Oxfordshire countryside. Ellen DeGeneres, 67, and wife Portia de Rossi, 52, made the move across the Atlantic to the area last year in a bid to escape Donald Trump 's America.
The couple's first home was hit by flooding but they've since relocated to a £38 million hilltop pad set in sprawling grounds. It is around a 30-minute drive from their original home, and planning documents show it has a 'sustainable drainage system' and is not 'at risk of flooding.'
Brad Pitt reportedly owns a home nearby, while Tom Cruise and singer Ariana Grande are frequent visitors. Last August, Taylor Swift and her partner Travis Kelce rented a £33.3 million bolthole in the village of Great Tew during the UK leg of her Eras tour.
And the late tech giant Steve Jobs' daughter Eve, 27, wed Olympic show jumper Harry Charles, 26, in the local church last month. Guests at the ceremony included Former US Vice President Kamala Harris, Bill Gates's daughter Jennifer and Bruce Springsteen's daughter, Jessica.
US Vice President JD Vance is currently holidaying with his family at Dean Manor, a Grade II-listed country home in the tiny Cotswolds hamlet of Dean. He also stayed with the Foreign Secretary David Lammy in Kent and will later travel to Scotland.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z are no strangers to the property market. In 2017, they moved into a 12,000 sq ft residence in Malibu, complete with a cinema, gym, wine cellar and ocean views. And they splashed out £66 million later that year for a 30,000 sq ft mansion in Bel Air, California, with eight bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, four swimming pools and a 15-car garage.
News of the couple's UK move comes hours after Beyoncé won her first Emmy award for Beyoncé Bowl - her Christmas Day halftime NFL show streamed by Netflix.
When approached by the Mirror, the previous landowner declined to comment. Beyonce's publicist was approached for comment.

Strictly Come Dancing's Karen Hauer's 'nasty' confession about ex husband Kevin Clifton
The Strictly Come Dancing professional has now split from her third husband, Jordan Wyn-Jones. Strictly Come Dancing professional Karen Hauer has split from her fitness pro husband, Jordan Wyn-Jones. It comes after the dancer was pictured without her wedding ring last week, just 16 months after the couple married. Jordan is Karen's third husband, with her first being former dance partner Matthew Hauer and her second fellow Strictly dancer Kevin Clifton who has now been with Stacey Dooley for five years. Karen said she was 'blindsided' by how quickly Kevin moved on in 2018, and was left 'struggling to get out of bed'. The star described the break-up with Kevin as the 'toughest period of her life' and praised her rescue dog Betty for helping her through the hard times, reports The Mirror. The pair married in 2015 after meeting on the New York leg of long-running live dance show Burn The Floor in 2011. At the time, Kevin was still with his second wife, ballet dancer Clare Craze, and he had also previously married amateur Latin world champion Anna Melnikova in 2003. According to Kevin, Venezuelan pro dancer Karen was everything he had been looking for. Of that time, he once said: "I wasn't myself - a lot of friends and family were telling me that. It was just a bit of a weird time. When I met Karen, I could get on with her on a completely different level." In 2015, he proposed on stage during a performance of Burn The Floor on Karen's birthday, and they married that same year in London. But looking back, Karen said it might have been too much, too soon, telling Closer magazine: "I don't think we were ready for marriage. We were still growing as performers, as people, as lovers, and sometimes you just can't find the right way to fix things." By 2016, rumours of trouble in paradise were swirling, and Karen recently revealed that their relationship "got really nasty overnight" as she battled with her mounting jealousy. "It's six years down the line and things started going wrong, just little things, like a phone call, like, 'You didn't call me the whole day'", she told The Divorce Club podcast. Of Kevin's reaction to her challenges, she continued: "Sometimes I would get the 'You're not very kind, you're not very nice' and I was like 'What do you mean? I don't understand.' There were little attacks that we would do to each other." But according to Karen, the rot really set in when she clung on tighter to the marriage amid her own sense of insecurity - a move which only caused more rows. She explained: "Then the fights, I was getting jealous, but I was only jealous because I wasn't getting the attention that I wanted from my husband and then I didn't understand why so I started gripping, trying to pull him. 'Why are you not doing this? Why are you not doing that?' Exactly what you're not supposed to do, I just wanted answers. And then it just got really nasty overnight." They tried therapy, but Karen said there was "too much anger and emotional baggage" for it to work. And finally, they woke up one morning, looked at each other and 'knew' it was over. "Eventually we both couldn't take it anymore," she added. Kevin and Karen confirmed their split in early 2018 but continued to work together on Strictly, which understandably made moving on more difficult. Especially as Karen admitted she'd wanted to save their marriage. "I would have never let go of it. I wouldn't have never, never let go of it." She continued. "I would have liked to have fought for it and it took me a year after we separated to actually let go of him. It took me a long time to cut the umbilical cord that I had connected to him. Because it was connected for such a long time and at a completely different level than my first marriage, because this marriage was what I was always looking for." Brooklyn Beckham distressed over claims wife Nicola Peltz 'hasn't backed down for months'
The star is said to be 'excruciated by everything' Brooklyn Beckham has spoken out to quash rumours that his wife Nicola Peltz is controlling him, as close pals reveal his distress over the negative portrayal of his spouse. The eldest child of David and Victoria Beckham is upset by claims that Nicola is unfairly targeted following reports that his family was not invited to their wedding vow renewal ceremony. An insider commented: "It's so rooted in misogyny that all of the heat for his parents not being invited is on Nicola. Everyone seems to forget that Brooklyn is an adult man and fully capable of speaking out. Nicola would have respected all that he chose. It breaks Brooklyn's heart to see his wife being painted as this vixen and viper." The 'Lola' star has faced allegations of cutting her husband off from both his relatives and mates. Observers have noted that at the August 2 event, which Nicola's father Nelson officiated, there appeared to be an absence of Brooklyn's extended family and British friends. While Brooklyn has not officially responded to the controversy, he recently made his feelings clear through social media actions. He liked an Instagram comment from a user who stood up for Nicola. The commenter had stated: "Why is it assumed that she made the decision to exclude them? ... If he really wanted his parents there, they would be." The Mirror has recently reported on the severe rift between David and Victoria Beckham and their daughter-in-law, which resulted in the couple only learning about the vow renewal through online news and photographs, reports the Mirror. Friends of Nicola and Brooklyn have revealed that his siblings Romeo, 22, and Cruz, 20, were also excluded from the event following what they describe as a string of online jibes. A source commented: "Brooklyn's brothers have been fanning the flames. They've openly made fun of and trolled Brooklyn in comments on social media." However, there are those who question the necessity of ostracising the entire family. Excluded from the August 2 festivities in the US were all the Beckhams - including little sister Harper, as well as grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. An insider confided to the Mirror: "Why punish the whole family for what is essentially a fallout with just the mum and dad?" It was reportedly difficult to not invite Harper, 14, given her closeness to Brooklyn and the grandparents. A friend remarked: "They are trying to make the best decisions for them in what are very unfortunate circumstances. Navigating family stuff is hard and it's ugly." Despite the current estrangement, the couple maintains hope for mending ties. The same friend added: "The door is open. No one wants to see this kind of pain exist. There is always hope. At the end of the day, blood is thicker than water."

Peter Andre's 'final straw' with Katie Price as his reason for speaking out 'revealed'
Mysterious Girl hitmaker Peter Andre is said to have felt like he needed to release his bombshell statement on ex wife Katie Price as things had become 'unbearable' Peter Andre is said to have reached the final straw with his ex-wife, Katie Price, and decided to release his bombshell statement. The Mysterious Girl hitmaker shares his two children, Junior, 20, and Princess, 18, with former glamour model Katie. They split in 2009 and continued to co-parent their kids while things remained sour between them as all contacted was burned. Things came to boiling point this week when Peter decided to release a scathing message aimed at mum-of-five Katie. Their relationship entered the spotlight once again as Princess released her debut solo TV project this month. It comes after Princess said she's 'independent' from parents as she breaks silence after Katie Price row. Peter raged: "For sixteen years, I have stayed silent in the face of repeated lies from my ex-wife and her family, out of respect for my children and loved ones, but staying silent has been incredibly frustrating. That ends today. "The latest comments about my children's welfare and living arrangements compel me to set the record straight. For well-documented reasons, and for their safety, Junior and Princess came into my care in 2018 and remained with me until they reached adulthood. "In 2019, the family courts issued a legally binding order to enforce this arrangement." He went on: "I have never made this public before, out of respect for my children. In 2011 and 2015, publicly documented court cases found my ex-wife had made false claims. "She was ordered to pay substantial damages and legal costs, and to apologise to me and my management. The same falsehoods are being repeated today. "Unfortunately, there are many more lies and baseless accusations I have yet to address. Those will now be dealt with in the coming months." Now, it has been claimed Peter "had" to speak out because things in the family had turned "unbearable". "Katie lies and lies about Pete, she talks about him and tells lies about the kids all the time and he was sick of it," a source told the Sun. "The fact is, she went on her podcast and said that Princess lived with her, and that's just not true. It's been a really difficult and upsetting time for the family - she's goading him and constantly speaking about him, and none of it is true." Another source added to the publication: "It really affects everyone - it's hard for Princess as she loves her mum, but it's just drama and negativity at every turn." "Pete would like nothing more than for Katie to never ever speak about him in public ever again, but she won't stop. He's kept a dignified silence for so long, but I wouldn't be surprised if it turns legal, as she's gone too far now. He just wants a harmonious life for his family." Following Peter's post, a spokesperson for Katie told the Mirror: "Kate is in a much better and clear headspace and is at peace with the situation, this was in the past and she doesn't feel the need to bring up tit for tat comments, but more importantly she's dealing with this the right way and it's now in her lawyers hands. Kate will no longer be gaslight and bullied as she once was..." On Friday, Princess spoke out for the first time as she answered a question about her parents on Snapchat. One fan asked her on the platform: "Does it affect you even now when your mum and dad don't get on?' Princess then said in a video on the platform: "To be honest, it doesn't affect me. At the end of the day, they broke up when I was two years old so I don't even have any memory of them being together." Writing on top of the clip, she added: "I love my mum and dad and that's all that matters xxx." The Mirror has contacted Peter and Katie's representatives for comment.
