Michael Clarke shares touching tribute to his girlfriend Arabella Sherborne as they celebrate their one year anniversary: 'My best friend'
Michael Clarke and his girlfriend Arabella Sherborne are stronger than ever.
The former cricket captain, 44, and his glamorous girlfriend have celebrated one year together.
In a sweet post shared to Instagram on Mother's Day, Michael paid tribute to his love alongside a photo of the pair cuddled up.
'12 months ago I met me best friend…. She is still standing right beside me' Michael wrote in his caption.
'Happy anniversary @arabellasherborne' he added.
Arabella was quick to reply in the comments underneath the post with her own dedication, writing, 'My whole heart'.
The lovebirds went Instagram official with their new romance in July after it was revealed they jetted off to the Gold Coast together in June.
They then officially confirmed their relationship when they stepped out holding hands at celebrity hotspot Mimi's in Sydney just a few weeks later.
The couple have kept their romance under wraps by not posting many photos of one another on Instagram and only exchanging a few flirty comments on the platform.
Their romance came about 18 months after Clarke's very public split with his ex-girlfriend Jade Yarbrough.
Clarke and Yardbrough had a bust-up in January 2023 in a Noosa park when she accused the former cricketer of sleeping with his ex-girlfriend Pip Edwards.
Dramatic footage showed a shirtless Clarke being screamed at and slapped by his girlfriend while out for dinner at a beachside restaurant in Noosa. A remorseful Clarke later took full responsibility for what happened.
'I'm absolutely gutted I've put people I hold in the highest regard in this position. My actions in the lead-up to this altercation were nothing short of shameful and regrettable,' he told The Daily Telegraph.
'I am shattered that because of my actions I've drawn women of class and integrity, and my mates, into this situation.'
Despite the bust-up, the exes 'remain on amicable terms,' a representative previously told Daily Mail Australia.
Clarke was previously married to Kyly Clarke and they share a daughter Kelsey Lee. The couple went their separate ways in 2019 after seven years of marriage.
It comes after Clarke accepted the Hall of Fame honour at the SCG in January, nearly a decade after he closed the chapter on a remarkable playing career.
He is the 64th inductee to the HOF, with two further members to be named this season.
Making his first-class debut for NSW at 17, Clarke captained Australia to victory in the 2015 World Cup and led the side across 47 of his 115 career Tests.
The middle-order batter burst onto the scene during Australia's 2004 tour of India, crowned the player of the match in Bengaluru after scoring 151 runs in the first innings of his debut.
So prolific was Clarke that he became just the sixth Australian to score a Test triple-century after posting an unbeaten 329 against India at the SCG across the 2011/12 series.
Clarke succeeded all-time great Ricky Ponting as captain in 2011.
He followed up his SCG performance with a double century in the fourth Test against India, before notching two further double centuries against South Africa the following season.
At his peak, the Sydney local was ranked the best batter in the world.
Clarke was also at the helm for the Ashes whitewash in 2013-14 and retired at the end of the lost 2015 campaign in England.

ITV are said to have cut flights abroad for Andi Peters and Jeff Brazier amid hundreds of redundancies. Sweeping changes were announced in May to ITV Daytime shows. 5 The changes will impact the likes of This Morning, Loose Women and Lorraine. More than 220 jobs will be lost as part of the shake-up — meaning almost half of the 450 employed on the four flagship shows will be let go. Cuts will be made to staff working on the likes of GMB, Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women. And now the channel has stopped sending Andi Peters and Jeff Brazier to tropical destinations for the competition segments of Daytime shows. According to MailOnline, ITV feel it is "bad taste" to keep sending Andi, 54, and Jeff, 46, to lavish locations after the announcement of the company's cuts. Already in 2025, Andi has been flown to Australia, Cape Town, the Maldives and Florida to host competition segments. Meanwhile, Jeff has been seen plugging competitions from Sri Lanka, Malta and Thailand. According to the outlet, a source has said: "TV have scaled back on sending top talent overseas to present their competition segments." The source added: "The competitions themselves, which give viewers the chance to win six figure sums and idyllic holidays, bring in a great deal of revenue. "But constantly flying the likes of Andi and Jeff to the Maldives and South Africa was starting to frustrate staff and viewers alike. During the weeks Lorraine is not on air, Good Morning Britain will run from 6am to 10am. This Morning will remain in its 10am-12.30pm slot on weekdays throughout the year.
