The fighting incident took place while the cruise was sailing from Half Moon Cay, a private island in the Bahamas, when at around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, some passengers started a fight, which ultimately led to them being banned from Carnival Cruise Line for life, according to The Travel report.

However, some consider the life ban to be an exaggeration, but this has been Carnival's policy for years when regarding acts of violence as the firm adopted a "zero-tolerance policy" and has also previously banned many people in the past from getting into fights, as per the report.
The cruise line nowadays even places a letter in its guests' cabin at the start of every journey, to remind them about its "Have Fun, Be Safe" guidelines, according to The Travel report.
Carnival Cruise Line's guidelines say that "Any guest who violates these policies or whose conduct affects the comfort, enjoyment, safety or well-being of other guests and crew will be fined, disembarked at their own expense, and banned from sailing on Carnival in the future," quoted The Travel report.

Railway firm on parking fees, commuters cry foul
T'puram: Southern Railway is yet to roll back the steep increase in parking fees at railway stations in the Thiruvananthapuram division that was implemented from June 1. As per the new tariff rate, the two-wheeler parking for a month rose from Rs 360 to Rs 500. People are upset as the parking rates and season ticket rates together push up monthly commuting costs. "The new tariff has more than doubled the charges for parking, making it unaffordable for the common man," said Liyons J of Friends on Rails. "It has to be reconsidered," he added. Not all two-wheeler users are granted monthly passes and most stations only offer them to those parking for less than eight hours. Collection practices are arbitrary and some stations collect money without issuing proper receipts, he added. Passengers are also demanding CCTV surveillance in parking areas. Passengers alleged that the railway failed to provide any security for parked vehicles and also did not offer adequate facilities. Additionally, there is an extra charge for storing helmets and raincoats.
