Mammootty's brother confirms actor's recovery, pens emotional note on the difficult period: ‘The whole world prayed for one person?'
All of a sudden, Malayalam cinema banded together on social media on Tuesday to share heartfelt posts regarding one person, highlighting the immense love and respect they hold for him. From superstar Mohanlal and Rajya Sabha MP John Brittas to hundreds of cinema lovers, the virtual space was flooded with notes celebrating his imminent return. That person was none other than Mammootty, who had been away from the limelight for the past few months due to an apparent health scare. While none explicitly mentioned what health crisis the Malayalam megastar had been dealing with, they confirmed that he has been declared free of it. Now, Mammootty's brother Ebrahimkutty has shared an emotional post, affirming that the Malayalam cinema icon is set for his much-awaited comeback. 'I am now revelling in a sense of relief one feels after crossing a vast sea of dark clouds and turmoil. All the suppressed anxieties have subsided. Now, it is time for a comeback,' he wrote on Facebook. He continued, 'For a long time, wherever I went, everyone's enquiry was only about Ichakka (Mammootty's nickname). During my travels for serial shoots, at railway stations, bus stands, on the streets, and at shooting locations, wherever I went, people would come and ask lovingly, 'Mammukka is okay, right?' The expression on their faces upon hearing my 'yes' showed the depth of their love for him. The whole world is praying for one person?! Yes. All the world I saw had been in prayer, wishing for Ichakka's health to be restored. Though the situation wasn't extremely grave, a lump remained in my heart. I prayed in every breath… along with crores and crores of people. Now that all the crises have been overcome, it is a relief like having swum across a sea.' Expressing sincere gratitude to all those who stood by them and prayed for Mammootty's speedy recovery, Ebrahimkutty concluded, 'Thank you, to those who carried unconditional love for Ichakka; to those who prayed; to those who ardently wished for his return… And to every human being and God.' A post shared by George Sebastian (@ On Tuesday, Mammootty's longtime associate George and close friend, producer Anto Joseph, shared similar posts on social media, indirectly announcing that the Malayalam megastar had overcome his purported health crisis and was ready to return to acting in full health after treatment and rest. 'With eyes brimming with joy, I stand before you with folded hands. To those who prayed for me, stood by me, and reassured me that nothing would go wrong-my dearest ones, thank you with endless love,' George wrote. While fellow superstar Mohanlal shared an old photo of him planting a warm kiss on Mammootty's cheek, along with a red heart emoji, MP John Brittas wrote on X, 'Dear Mammukka, your strength and resilience are truly inspiring! We're overjoyed to see you back, and we need your vibrant presence, charm and leadership for many years to come.' The megastar's longtime friend, actor VK Sreeraman, also shared a heartening post on Facebook, along with an old photo of them, recalling Mammootty's phone call to him after successfully passing the last medical 'test.'

Nora Fatehi On Tamil Debut With Kanchana 4: ‘Language Is A Challenge, But…'
Nora Fatehi is all set for her Tamil debut with Kanchana 4. She calls language a challenge but embraces it, sharing excitement about stepping into Tamil cinema. Nora Fatehi is all set for her Tamil debut as the actor joins Kanchana 4 as the female lead. Kanchana 4 is one of the much-awaited films, and joining it as a lead, especially in a debut, is quite exciting for Nora. She is embracing this new phase of her career with enthusiasm. While talking to Hindustan Times about why she chose Kanchana 4, Nora Fatehi shares, 'When Kanchana 4 was offered to me, I immediately felt it was the right project to step into Tamil cinema. The franchise already has such a strong legacy, and the script was so unique that I wanted to be part of it. I was looking to be a part of another comedy after the success of Madgaon Express." Language has been a challenge, but Nora isn't one to shy away from experiments. 'Of course, language is always a challenge, but I love challenges. It's definitely the hardest so far, but I spend extra hours rehearsing," she explains. With experience in Malayalam and Telugu industries too, Nora reflects on the differences she's noticed. 'Every industry has its own flavour. Tamil cinema is very rooted in storytelling, and there's a lot of emphasis on performance and strong scripts. Bollywood, on the other hand, has its own larger-than-life energy. Both industries are passionate about cinema, but the styles of working, the audience expectations, and even the filmmaking processes feel slightly different. For me, it's exciting to experience and learn from both worlds." All you need to know about Nora Fatehi Nora Fatehi was raised in Toronto by her Moroccan parents.
