Patriots TE Hunter Henry teases changes in Josh McDaniels' offense
Henry spent his first season with the Patriots with McDaniels as the offensive coordinator back in 2021, but McDaniels left for the head coaching job in Las Vegas the following season. During his run under the six-time Super Bowl winner, Henry proved to be one of the go-to targets by recording 50 catches for 603 yards and nine touchdowns.
Henry figures to remain a focal point in the Patriots' offense with McDaniels returning and the connection he has already built with second-year quarterback Drake Maye. When appearing on Patriots All Access, the veteran tight end teased some changes in McDaniels' returning offense in New England.
'It's a lot of similar things. It's kind of like getting back into it, hearing the verbiage again, kind of getting a feel for things a little bit and seeing things," said Henry. "Working through it with Drake, obviously, it's different in how he sees things. We've added a few new flavors to the offense a little bit. It's been good.'
Henry's familiarity with both McDaniels and Maye, albeit in different situations, could prove to be extremely valuable this season.
It could lead to him having his best year yet in a Patriots uniform.

How did the Commanders cornerbacks fare in practice against Patriots?
How did the Commanders' defense fare against the New England Patriots in Wednesday's scrimmage? Mitchell Tischler of Monumental Sports described it to Craig Hoffman on Team 980's "Hoffman Show." "Drake Maye looked really good. He looked way better today than the limited action I saw him last year. He was decisive with the football, and he did a good job of finding open receivers." Open receivers? Well, Tischler went on to convey to Hoffman that Patriots slot receiver Demario Douglas, "had a very good day." He said he did a good job of getting open, and Maye connected. This would have been against the coverage of Commanders second-year slot corner Mike Sainristil. Tischler revealed the Commanders were in man coverage, and the Pats receivers were getting open for the most part. Not to unfairly single out Sainristil, Tischler did state that there were plays where the three corners Sainristil, Marcus Lattimore and Trey Amos were each beaten at times. Being lined up against Stefon Diggs most of the time was a good test for Amos, according to Tischler. He added, "Amos did a good job when they were jamming at the line of scrimmage, getting his hands on him and kind of staying in his hip pocket, right behind him. He did a really nice job on a couple of deep balls." What about Marcus Lattimore? "I thought he was a little more consistent on the other see these guys wanting to fill the Joe Whitt, Dan Quinn style of football with turnovers, turnovers, turnovers. You know, go get those picks, go get those picks. Mikey had a tip at the end of the two-minute drill on a tip drill off of Bobby Wagner, which is a really nice play." In summary, Tischler concluded, "The Commanders' defense wasn't as good as the Patriots' offense, but ultimately I think some of that was playing an ultra-aggressive style and we're going to see a little less of that come the regular season."

Kevin O'Connell: Foundation is set, next step is Vikings becoming championship-worthy
Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell says last year's 14-3 season was a big step toward getting the franchise where it wants to go. Now it's time to take the next step. 'As I told our team when we came back to training camp, I think the foundation has been set,' O'Connell said on NFL Network. 'A lot of the players we've been able to sign in free agency or draft, they're here and they understand that they're now part of building that up to even greater heights.' To O'Connell, greater heights means a Super Bowl. 'The next step for this organization is becoming, in my opinion, championship-worthy,' O'Connell said. O'Connell said the Vikings tune out outside noise, noting that last season, few saw his team finishing with 14 wins. 'At this point last year, people were talking about that 14-win team like we could have the first pick in the draft,' O'Connell said. Through three seasons as the Vikings' head coach, O'Connell has a solid 34-17 record in the regular season, but he's 0-2 in the playoffs. Winning in the postseason is the next step.

Congratulations Pouring In For Former NFL Star Colin Kaepernick
Congratulations Pouring In For Former NFL Star Colin Kaepernick originally appeared on The Spun. Colin Kaepernick hasn't received an NFL contract for the 2025 season, but congratulations are in order for the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback. Prior to his fallout in 2016, Kaepernick had a fairly successful run with the 49ers. He led the franchise to a Super Bowl appearance during the 2012 season and set a single-game record for most rushing yards by a quarterback in his postseason debut against the Green Bay Packers. The former second-round pick from Nevada finished his NFL career with 12,271 passing yards, 2,300 rushing yards and 85 total touchdowns. Off the field, Kaepernick has been with radio personality Nessa Diab since 2015. They welcomed their first child together in August of 2022. "I thought long and hard about sharing our life changing news today. I decided to do so because today is the first day in a few weeks where I stepped out for work with a new life title—MOM," Diab wrote on Instagram. "Colin and I welcomed our amazing baby to the world a few weeks ago and we are over the moon with our growing family." Earlier this week, Diab shocked the world when she revealed that she's been married to Kaepernick for a few years. NFL fans were unaware of that. That being said, NFL fans are wishing Kaepernick and Diab all the best. "Congrats! Former 49ers star QB Colin Kaepernick got married to his longtime girlfriend, TV host Nessa. The beautiful couple have been together for over 10 years now and have one child together. Colin still trains every day to make his NFL return," content creator Dov Kleiman wrote on X. "Congratulations to the Kaepernick's," one fan said. "Congrats," a second fan wrote. "Now how about a contract with the UFL?" "Good for him," a social media user commented. Diab soft-launched her marriage in July when she said this in an Instagram video: "I'm not Colin's girlfriend or roommate or whatever — I'm his wife." Now that all the rumors have been put to rest, Diab and Kaepernick can enjoy married life in peace.
